View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a picture of a coffee mug.
And I want to "wrap" a circular logo to the mug to make it look like the logo is imprinted on the mug. What's the best way of going about this so it doesn't look like it was a poor photoshop hack?
What I have figured so far is to use the Edit / Transform / Perspective to squish the bottom and widen the top to give the perspective. And then I go to Edit / Transform / Scale and squish it vertically.
Heres what I end up with:
Not bad but it could be better. Photoshop CS 5.5
I did it on the apple logo coverings. So make images on the sphere. Of course, I did it "Ctrl + T > Warp" Do not automatically lead? So simple action? URL...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have found myself trying to capture a logo that is round and copy it in order to paste it into another circle . (thus it has to be round , not rectangle or square)
The closest I have come was to use the Ellipe Select tool and "poke and hope".. but did finally get pretty much what I wanted.
A friend asked me to create a logo similar to The North Face by using a song name. The upper right corner needs to be rounded allowing the color fill between the two silver parts. It looks somewhat ok, but as you can see it is not very proportional. I tried the aics_scripts file that I found from searching, but i can't get it right, most likely because the curve in the logo is not perfect. I have linked jpegs of 2 possibilities - the third image is made from creating a border in the appearance but then i cant get an additional outline around it with the silver color
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I am starting with a 12 sided star vector and using effect>stylize>round corners I am trying to round of the outer corners so they appear as a somewhat cartoonish cloud. But in doing this, it rounds of the inner corneds too, replicating a sort of bottle cap shape. How do I make it round off only the outer corners?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a bunch of bowls and dishes that have been photographed in a perspective view. That is they're not photographed from a top down or profile view. I'd like to place a pattern around the bowl but how do you make the pattern bend and follow the contours of the bowl accordingly?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a detail shot of an ongoing project for a Group Challenge. The supplied image was the door and steps, and you can see what theme I am going with. The entire guitar has been constructed as PS illustrations. The strings are a four layer smart object bent from the Nut to the tuning pegs with Puppet warp, but I need to curve the strings around the pegs to look like they have been wound.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a photograph of a jar and a smart object which is my label. If I go: >3D >New mesh from layer >Mesh preset >Cylinder - then the label is wrapped around the cylinder and is actually perfect - job done.
Questions:
- How to I make the Cylinder transperant so I only see the label
- How do I get out of the 3D window so I can place my wrapped label on the photograph of the jar?
I can't work this out (I have previous experience with Cinema 4d and Modo) or find instructions/YouTube videos that make sense.
Easy enough in ID and Ill, sure. However, how do you wrap text around an irregular shaped object in Photoshop?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've never worked with 3D effect before (not even in the earlier versions), until now when I finally need it. I've therefore searched the Internet and the Adobe Forums in order to get to know how to wrap a text/image around a glass bottle in Photoshop CS6. I've found several answers and tutorials, but none of them regards CS6 or they are simply too primitive, whereby the effect is too fake. But when I try follow the instructions in the explanations/tutorials I've found so far for earlier versions of Photoshop (especially regarding 3D effects), I can't find the right buttons, commands, etc. - I can't make it work. how to do wrap a text/image around a bottle/cylinder/object in Photoshop CS6?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have to animate a long tentacle like object eminating from something , wrapping around another object and pulling it backwards. I have been looking at splineIK,pflow and some other approaches but they only cover part of the animation I need.
I am playing with PFlow and I can get something to spawn along a spline path to wrap around the object but not sure how to simulate the thing retracting and pulling the object with it.
I know there must be a better way to do this.
I am trying to use conform, but when I pick the wrap to object, it inherits the material of the wrapper object. I am using active viewport and I am aligned directly over the object to be wrapped to. What am I doing wrong?
my specs are this quad processors, 8 Gb RAM, windows xp64bit, 3ds max 2011
Is there a way I could wrap a stencil around the object ?
For instance.. on a cube.. I use the stencil, straight line to wax a hard surface.
But on the edges, it breaks because it projects from the front.
any way to wrap the stencil around the object so the line continues without breaking on the edges ?
I am a relative newbie to photoshop - I am trying to create a border around a logo that has rounded edges. I have used to stroke tool and it creates the border. However, when I try and save it and use it it still has square edges.
How do I get rid of the square edges?
I am using Xara Designer Pro7 and i want to do something like this [URL] Is it possible with Xara?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to wrap some 2D text around an object, which has perspective. See example below:
The above is my attempt at wrapping the word "NEIGHBORHOOD" around the object. What I did was Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh... and just approximated how it should look by using a combination of guides. There has got to be a better, more precise way of doing this in illustrator.
I have a created a spiral path and added type to it. This spiral circles a planet-like object. This object is not completely circular, therefore overlaps some of the spiral. I would like the type on the spiral to wrap these protrusions. And I have tried the usual way of applying a text wrap (object > text wrap > make). The type on path doesn't seem to recognize the text wrap.

How we can WRAP a 3D object around a cylinder in either Autocad or Inventor!!!!
For instance, how we can wrap a 3d tree/leaf around a cylinder (see the attachment).
I'd like a more intuitive way to set up UV maps in Maya. It seems to me that there should be a process similar to using low polygon models as wrap deformers. Basically I figure that the low polygon would act as a projection wrap allowing for less UVs to adjust but enabling a very good flow of the texture map around any polygon, subdivision, and NURBS model of any complexity. Is there such a thing? If not, is there a way I can convert a wrap deformer to be a UV projection object?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I am have been working on this model and am 90% complete and am back to where I started initially. Best technique to model the round foot with the concave design that seems to wrap around the foot (Highlighted area). I have tried a number of ways and have ran into problems such as pinching around the corners, the mesh overflowing over the top of the corners and hard edges that dont seem to want to be softened, but now I am picking the expert brains as far as a technique that might be better suited.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to wrap an image around a curved object. This is a front elevation of a sign I am attempting to render and the sign wraps around a pole. What I am attempting to do is not just "squeeze" the copy but actually attempt to show what the image will look like if you are looking directly at it which means that the closest portion of the image will look normal but as you look further out towards the edges then the graphic and copy would appear to merge and disappear backwards. I hope I am explaining this well. I am trying to wrap my brain around this concept. I know you can do this in photoshop with stretching but cannot fathom how I can attempt this in CorelDraw or Illustrator.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhy does the Round() function require that the number of decimal places be either a number or an object if you want to use a variable? It seems that a Single should work here, but iLogic won't accept it.
See sample code below which is rounding off dimension values. If I dim the variable "somenumber" as Single or Double, I get this error message from the Round() function: "Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'Round' can be called without a narrowing conversion."
When I dim "somenumber" as an object it works, but this seems unnecessary when all it is storing is a single digit number. Why wouldn't Single or Double work for this variable?
Here's the code snippet:
'Dim Current Sketch & Count Constraints
Dim oSketch As Sketch = ThisApplication.ActiveEditObject
Dim oDimCount As Single = oSketch.DimensionConstraints.Count

I downloaded the deaf friendly seal as a vector image from a stock website. Now my co-workers want me to add that "sunburst" round edge and put it behind the round part of the deaf friendly one. Rather than download another vector image of the pointy round thing, I'd like to try to do it myself but I'm not good with Illustrator.
How to create that round object with points around it - maybe a quick and easy way to do it?
I have a photo of an object (a shiny silver padlock), and wish to place on the body of the lock a company logo (which is black and contains a name).
