Jun 2, 2008I have a photo of an object (a shiny silver padlock), and wish to place on the body of the lock a company logo (which is black and contains a name).

View 2 Repliesi have a client who has asked me to include her company logo, along with text, on a digital photograph which i then will have printed. writing text on a photo in photoshop is simple enough, but i don't know how to drop the logo (i've been sent two copies, jpg and tif) onto the photo.

how to put a 3D object on top of the another 3D object in autocad"! E.g.,I want to put a 3d object of one leaf (raised 1") on top of the vase, so that the edges of the leaf are placed completely on the surface of the vase.
I extruded the leaf 1" first, then tried to copy it on a solid cylinder of a vase, but it didn't work!!! It seems to be simple, maybe not!
I need to place an image underneath skin and I was wondering how to do this effectively rather than just placing the image above the picture and blending the layers. The image is off a cartoon eye that will glow different colours and I am trying to blend it into an open palm. Kind of a mix between David Blaines eye tattoo, and the clocks from the film In Time

i think this is because the point is not associated with the cloned (from xref) object? any thoughts on how to get it to work with the single object selection/insertion point prompt? in the meantime ive re-written to have a second prompt for the insertion point, which works on the cloned object.

I made the background of an object (single color symbol) transparent, then re-sized it. I then added a transparent layer to another image, with the idea of placing the symbol onto that layer. I tried to move the symbol, but that didn't work. I copied the symbol image and tried to paste it onto the layer. It pasted, but all I got was a transparent rectangle that matched the size of the symbol image.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to locate exact center of a circle in after effects? I made a perfect circle in photo editing program and since layer's boundaries corresponded to circle's edges, i thought that anchor point in after effects will be exactly at the center. but it's not the case - the anchor point is at the center of a composition!
Â
I imported the circle .psd layer together with other layers as a composition, does this have any importance? As i said, the circle layer boundaries corresond with circles edges, not with canvas' edges in my photo editing program. But whe i solo the circle layer, i see that the anchor point is at the center of a composition, not the layer.
Â
So now i have to place anchor point at the center manualy, and it's pretty difficult to do it perfectly. when i rotate the circle, it wobbles and wobbles.
I'm using CS3 extended and would like to wrap a logo around a circular object.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 3ds model of a golf ball I purchased. It imports properly into my Photoshop CC. I haven't been able to figure out how to apply an image (my logo) to the surface of the golf ball. Also, the golf ball has a dimpled surface so I will want the image to follow the contours of the ball, as if it would look if the logo were painted onto a real golf ball.
Â
EDIT: Also, I want to keep the golf ball as a 3d object so I can animate it in a scene.
I am a logo designer, and I have this photo realistic mockup for logos. So i have a layout where the main logo is a little above center, and below are two mock ups. So I am trying to have it where I can just make a change in the illustrator file and Photoshop can instantly make the change. The problem is that I am using two different mock ups and I have to edit both the mock ups (double click opening another window and pasting the smart object) to use them. The top layer is ok, because it will update itself.
I want a way to edit the illustrator logo and Photoshop to make all the changes in all three displays itself. The problem is that the bottom displays open up other Photoshop windows, with smart objects within them, but if I open up the top smart object, then it automatically opens illustrator.
So is there a way to just make one change in illustrator and Photoshop to automatically update it all.
I would like to learn how to place an object (person, animal, etc)that is outside and place 'em inside. For example: having horses outside a coral placed inside, or "inside" the coral.
I am using PS7
I'm trying to rebuild a logo in CorelDraw, and I'm having troubles with it creating a hole when the object is folded over itself.Â
The curve is closed, and it's one object that loops around like a figure 8. I've attached a photo for you to see what I mean. The top is the original logo, and the bottom is what's happening when I try to fountain fill the curve. How can I layer an object over itself without it doing that?
I created logo with a gradient object. The gradient is with a single color and transparency.
I can not export the logo, ( Ai, eps or pdf) in InDesign and keep the transparency of the gradient. Transparency becomes white. For the pdf, not only I do not have the transparency of the gradient, but I also have a block of white around my logo.
How do I resize, rotate and reposition a logo within a Photoshop object using Warp and/or Vanishing Point? This may be a Photoshop question.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop CS2 and have ordered InDesign CS3 after looking at a trial download. If I am shooting in camera raw and I want to transfer a part of an image onto a page without the background from the image, what is the best method for preparing the image... I don't necessarily need step by step instructions just to be pointed in the direction of the best method. For example we are working on a book about firearms in a museum collection and want to place some of the photos without backgrounds and some with backgrounds.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to work with another artist at a graphic design firm and he showed me a really cool way to put like an empty black, blurred mask behind people cutout or extraction which gave an illusion of depth. The mask really helped make the subject not look like an obvious knockout. He went through the steps and I should heave written it down, but failed to do so and lost the techniques.
I have been experiementing with doing a female model with flowing hair, like you see on the better fashion mags, saving the sel in channels and doing my editing there. Then I have tried using channel copies and using layer masks and it's still not the trick or result the PS artist was doing.
how I might be able to pull this masking technique out of the hat?
how to go about making a frame or edging around and image such as the photo example.
This is what I was told to do, but cannot make head to tail from it:
Magic wand outside the picture.
Select>Inverse.
Stroke - set to 1 pixel and desired colour.
New Layer
Move Marquee box to desired position
Stroke again
Move 2nd layer to back
