I create a graphic that has the dimensions of a standard piece of paper (8.5in X 11in) and then i savedit on a disc for my friend and he goes to office max to print it out and it comes out with a border... Is there a way to get rid of the border or can printers just not print full page.

I have tried using two different printers using the same 8.5x11" glossy paper.
If it is not the printer, it must be some setting in Photoshop (CS6).
What an I missing.
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
I am using CDR X5 SP1.
After moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the past two days, two-page PDFs that I save out of CS6 are printing with the second page upside down. I have tried resaving the documents—didn't work. Tried saving the documents as individual PDFs and combining the PDFs in Acrobat—didn't work. I have had my colleagues print them, and the second page is upside-down too. When I print two-page PDFs that I saved last week or longer ago, I have no problem at all. It just seems to be happening with recently saved PDFs. I didn't update any software on my computer between saving the PDFs that are printing correctly and when this problem began.
View 11 Replies View Relatedwhen I expand the document window in the client area of the user interface, the window expands completely to cover the whole screen, including the surrounding panels, menus, etc. The only thing shown is the full document window. I'm not sure if this is something that can be configured in the preferences or not. I've tried all the interface settings and nothing works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn PS CS4 Mac, I used to be able to print the full document info that appears in the title bar, including the currently selected layer/group. This would print at the top of my document and might look like:
File Name.psd 100% (layer name, RGB/8)
I always thought this was a function of selecting "Label" in the Output window of the print dialogue box. However, it does not seem to be working anymore, and now it simply prints the file name, like this:
File Name.psd
How can I turn this feature back on so that I get the entire document window? Or another method to accomplish something similar? I am printing individual layers from a single document and having them automatically "labeled" is useful.

Now I want to be able to put it on my website, with the text readable of
course. So what would be my best approach here.. a pdf might be okay, but it's also nice for the web user not to have to view a pdf file especially if they do not have the reader ...
Using PS CS6, Windows 7 x64.
I was under the impression that when hovering my mouse over the document title bar, I would see a tooltip showing the full file name, including the path. This isn't happening and I'm wondering if there is a way to do this. I know I can click File > Save As, or Ctrl+Shift-S to see the full path, but hovering over the title bar would be easier. (What I am seeing now in the tool tip is the file name, % magnification and which layer I have selected. Basically, the tool tip is just showing what's in the title bar without hovering.)
I'm having problems printing (to an Epson 3800) on 17x25 paper (the image is 16x24 @ 240dpi). The image is not printing the full width of that it should. The odd thing is that it fills a different width every time I try to print it. I have tried multiple images and the same thing happens, so I do NOT think it is something specific to the image.
I suspect it is a problem with my printer. But after spending almost 45 minutes on the phone with Epson, they claim is must be a problem with PS (I'm using CS5 [12.0.4] on Windows Vista 64-bit, SP 2 machine). Epson support had me save the image as a JPG and print it from Windows native print util (and not PS), borderless on 17x25 paper and the printer was able to print the full width of the paper..I think it could still be a problem with their printer driver (and not a problem with the print head physically not being able to move that wide).
I've printed hundreds of prints this size with this version of CS5 on this exact same machine and printer and never had a problem bef.The "native" dimensions of the image are 2336 x 3504. I have resized it to 3864 x 5796 (which is 16.1 x 24.15 inches @ 240dpi). The first time I printed it (where this problem occurred), it printed about 12 inches wide; the 2nd time about 11 inches, the 3rd time about 13 inches. Note: the image is NOT being scaled, it is printing at full size but it just being cut off.
The weird thing is that if I size it to any of the other 4 sizes I regularly print at everything is fine (5 x 7.5 on 5.67 x 8.33 paper; 8 x 12 on 8.5 x 12.5 paper, 10 x 15 on 11 x 17 paper and 12 x 18 on 13 x 19 paper).
But the experiment the Epson tech had me do shows that the print head is not "blocked". Thus, I can only think that there is either: a) CS5 is someone putting an incorrect "bounding box" in bit stream it is sending to the printer or b) there is a problem with the Epson print driver in that it is interpreting the "bounding box" of the image incorrectly (but only when sized at 3864 x 5796)..I tried Adobe's Chat support and got nowhere and the hold time for phone support is over 2 hours..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI need publishing a PDF from a Word document full of diagrams created with Adobe Illustrator CS6. My diagrams are all vector. I am free to export them anyway I like. My Word doc has many cross-references, footnotes and Endnote references and a large table of contents. It is a few hundred pages long, with around 50 diagrams. I would like to preserve the original quality of the vector art and the intra-document clickable links.
Each step in the process has multiple possible paths, and each path often many options. There are 3 steps:
1) Export from Illustrator to: .ai, .pdf, .eps, .wmf, .emf
optional 1b) Convert (eg. use Acrobat to convert .ai to .doc, .eps or .ps)
2) Import to Word: drap and drop, file cut and paste, insert picture, insert object, insert object linked to file, PDF Reflow (Word 2013). I tried them all.
3) Publish to PDF from Word. Many different paths...
- Print to PDF: I have AdobePDF, PDFCreator, NovaPDF printers installed
- Save as... : Save as->AdobePDF or Save as->PDF or XPS
- Plugin toolbars: Acrobat->CreatePDF, NovaPDF->Save as PDF, PDF Architect->Convert
or
- Save as .doc and convert with Adobe Acrobat.
I have tried many different permutations. There are 4 possible errors:
E1 - The diagrams are converted into bitmaps.
E2 - The diagrams are 'linearised' - curves are converted into chains of linear sections
E3 - The diagrams are corrupted - text missing, characters changed, dotted lines become solid lines etc.
E4 - Hyperlinks are lost.
Here are some results of my tests.
I see no difference so far between Word 2007 and Word 2013. Results below stand for both.There is no difference between Word->Acrobat->CreatePDF and Acrobat->Convert Word to PDF.Illustrator -> AI -> Acrobat -> Word almost works, but diagrams are corrupted in various ways (eg. dashed lines become solid).When export from Illustrator as EPS level 2, EPS level 3, EMF, WMF and PDF and get different results depending on the path to PDF:

I created an envelope with a return address and logo in photoshop. It looks fine in print preview but when it prints the envelope has a pink tint.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to design a large logo for a billboard ad. The dimensions are about 14'x6' I spoke with the printing company and they weren't all that helpful about DPI & such. The most info I could get was that they print at 150 DPI, and if I wanted to make my image smaller they will scale it up.
it's a very elaborate pixel based graphic that I don't want to be distorted when blown up. So, I've been trying to design at the literal dimensions of the sign, and 150 pixels/inch (in CS3). Problem is that I'm getting all kinds of scratch disk errors (even with 250gb free) and excessively long wait times between modifications to the document.
Is there any smaller size I can put this document to or anything I'm missing? I realize that I should be using a vector design, but the person I'm doing it for is very set on an elaborate pixel design with tons of detail.
I haven't been able to find any zoom levels between full-page view and the Ctrl-U zoom that seems to be 1:1. At full page, 12 point text is very difficult to read and edit and anything smaller is impossible. At the Ctrl-U zoom level, I get about 40 characters of 12 point text across the screen & proofreading & editing a text box is very time consuming.

Whenever I do any minor modifications anywhere in the text or spacing, of course all the photos move to the wrong places.
Unless the photo is a small one and is placed truly within the text, in which case I can anchor it and it stays where it belongs.
but sometimes the photos w/captions (grouped) take up a full page.
Then there is no text on the page to anchor them to.
Is there anyway to anchor them to the text on the previous page?
I use to use Elements which has a nice feature to print multiple selected files in many different formats on a page. A selection button lets you print each picture only once so that you can, for example, shoot 60 images to the printer and get 20 pages with three 4x6 on a page. The Picture Package automation in Photoshop does something similar but it's a struggle to print each image only once -- you've got to manually set each page up correctly. how to do this more conveniently? Plugins, etc?

View 7 Replies View Relatedi am having problems moving an edited photograph to a new document for printing. I get a screen stating 'The target document has a different depth than the source document. This may result in lower than expected quality.
if i try to print from the edited photograph without moving it onto a new document it doesnt fit onto an A4 paper and comes up with 'Specifit print settings (Interpolation, Calibration,Encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non post-script printer.
This has just started to become a problem I have not changed printer which is a printer/scanner/copy Lexmark 4550
CS6, no page setup? I see no option permitting me to choose landscape or portrait view. I'm using mountain lion and a canon mp560. There's nothing under print settings. "layout direction" Is it a compatibility problem between CS6 and my printer? Is there a workaround?
