View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to design a large logo for a billboard ad. The dimensions are about 14'x6' I spoke with the printing company and they weren't all that helpful about DPI & such. The most info I could get was that they print at 150 DPI, and if I wanted to make my image smaller they will scale it up.
it's a very elaborate pixel based graphic that I don't want to be distorted when blown up. So, I've been trying to design at the literal dimensions of the sign, and 150 pixels/inch (in CS3). Problem is that I'm getting all kinds of scratch disk errors (even with 250gb free) and excessively long wait times between modifications to the document.
Is there any smaller size I can put this document to or anything I'm missing? I realize that I should be using a vector design, but the person I'm doing it for is very set on an elaborate pixel design with tons of detail.
I create a graphic that has the dimensions of a standard piece of paper (8.5in X 11in) and then i savedit on a disc for my friend and he goes to office max to print it out and it comes out with a border... Is there a way to get rid of the border or can printers just not print full page.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was designing a membership card for a company and set a resolution of 300 and I can't remember what document size I set originally.
Anyway, my sizes now are as follows:
Pixel Dimensions: W 700, H 410
Document Size: 5.93cm X 3.47cm
Resolution: 300 pixels/inch
When I save my psd as any image type, my image is MUCH bigger than 5.93 x 3.47. How can I save it so that it is the size I want, but still the good image quality (resolution) and so I get the same size when I print it.

i am having problems moving an edited photograph to a new document for printing. I get a screen stating 'The target document has a different depth than the source document. This may result in lower than expected quality.
if i try to print from the edited photograph without moving it onto a new document it doesnt fit onto an A4 paper and comes up with 'Specifit print settings (Interpolation, Calibration,Encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non post-script printer.
This has just started to become a problem I have not changed printer which is a printer/scanner/copy Lexmark 4550
I am trying to send a photobook created on Lightroom 4 to Blurb for printing.Â
I was told from Blurb that soft proofing function on Lightroom 4 does not work for them because the color profile is different. What does Adobe recommend to do to match the color space?
I am trying to print a doc 60cm x 23cm but my printer will only accept A4 paper. I am happy to have this printed over a few sheets but even using the custom print options for paper and print sizes I am only able to print one section of the picture. How I can print a series from the picture so I can paste up afterwards?

In the print options right before releasing the job we changed the use Illustrator colors to use Post script colors and it still does the same thing....Prints black where blue is supposed to go on the document. Doesn't matter if it is a .jpeg or plain text. Sending the job to a different printer works which is a Xerox work centre.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have multipage (16 pages) document with linked frames of paragraph text. Every page consists of 2 linked frames of paragraph text and second one is linked to the first one of the next page. When printed, it prints only first two pages as a whole. And the 3-rd and all the others prints only first frame of the page and two rows of the second frame of the page.
Is this my printer (Canon LBP3010) or the CorelDRAW ?
BTW: Paste 16 pages from WORD to Corel X6 takes infinity and crashes. In Corel 9 it takes about a minute for 80 pages!
I've created a pdf file (with illustrator cs3). when I try to open it on photoshop CS3 I receive this message:

I inadvertently saved a document as a jpg and wondered if there is any way I can convert it to a document file that is handled more easily with a file that is other than a photo file?

The code below crashes with an "attempt to write to protected memory" Â in debug mode (it crashes when it hits acDocMgr.add)but in the Release version it works fine. I am using Command Flags.Session
Dim acDocMgr As DocumentCollection = Application.DocumentManager Dim pStyle As Integer = Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices.Application.GetSystemVariable("PSTYLEMODE") Dim acDoc As Document = Nothing If pStyle = 1 Then   acDoc = acDocMgr.Add("acad.dwt") Else acDoc = acDocMgr.Add("acad -Named Plot Styles.dwt") End If

How do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've used Photoshop CS3 to create a Flash Web Gallery. I put that folder in my site root in dreamweaver, but when I add the .swf to the webpage- it only shows as a white box. Even when I press "play" nothing happens. What else needs to be done? All of the files created with the .swf are also already in the root directory.

I seem to only be able to view the images with a preview on my DVD player - so If I burn a disk, I have to create previews beforehand.
I kept CS3 on my system even though I've been using CS4 since it was released. Uninstalled CS3 yesterday and since then I cannot call PS4 from Br4/ When I double-click on an image in bridge it brings up the magnifier. The menu option, "File-->Open With" does not show PS CS4 as an option nor does it give me a "Choose File" option. It does list Acrobat, my browsers, and Paint as opening programs. How can I get PS4 to show as an option here? Have searched all the Preferences but see no way to do it. On a related note -- is my memory faulty or didn't a double-click at one time allow one to open a photo in an external editor? Oh yes, I can open PS4 from LR, and I can open Br from PS4 via menu or icon click. Would appreciate some help. JEL P.S.I found I can get to PS4 from Br4 by first opening a photo in Camera Row and then opening it via the Open Image button.

This is the error message "This document contains unknown data which will be discarded to keep layers editable. To preserve the original appearance instead choose flatten to load composite data as a flattened image."
