Dec 23, 2012created an action in cs2 using ctrl-f12. When I hit ctrl-f12, I get a print option and my action does not run.

Sep 8, 2013I have 100's of flat images that I have to chop up into 3 parts and save as individual pieces to then load into a separate piece of software.
My problem is that when I start the batch, the 3 new images it creates for each image are simply overwriting each other when saving.
The options for serial numbers etc in the destination field of batch seems to only work for the original file opened, not the 3 new images the action creates/saves.

Photoshop :: No Action In My Action
Jul 11, 2007i am trying to build an action where the end product is a channel listing that has all the channel (R-G-B-L-C-Y-M-K (forget LAB a-b)). this will allow me to look at all the channels for contrast and subsequent extraction. i'm actually able to do this as i RECORD the action. but when i RUN the action, nothing happens.
in recording the action, i create a DUPLICATE IMAGE, then convert the new image to LAB. i then drag the "L" channel to the original image. it goes into the original image as an alpha channel which i rename to "Lightness." i then convert the duplicate image to CMYK and then one-by-one DRAG the individual channels to the original image. at the end of this process, i have all eight channels visible in the channels palette. this is what i want.
but then, when i RUN the action on a new image, the action fails to RECORD the "drag step and drop" step. the "L," "C," etc. channels are not dragged during the running of the action.
why does the "drag" step not record in the action
Photoshop :: CS6 Action (Save As A Jpg) Despite Other Format Save As In Action?
May 8, 2013 needs to overlay a grid over a photo and then save it as another file. In CS5.5 or earlier, no problem, but in CS6 it is not working for either of us.Â
The batch action (run from either Photoshop or Bridge) stops and prompts at the Save command every time no matter what format we save it in (psd, png, jpg, save for web, etc.).
I have been through the Web and the Adobe Forums and cannot find a work around for this. He cannot just hit enter everytime the popup window comes up because he has over 2700 photos to put this grid on.

May 14, 2008I've used Photoshop CS3 to create a Flash Web Gallery. I put that folder in my site root in dreamweaver, but when I add the .swf to the webpage- it only shows as a white box. Even when I press "play" nothing happens. What else needs to be done? All of the files created with the .swf are also already in the root directory.

Oct 27, 2004I am running Photoshop 7 on a Mac, the problem is that when I save a group of Jpegs, for some a preview is created, and others there is no preview. I am also using iPhoto, To get a preview I am having to use SAVE AS and that is tedious.
I seem to only be able to view the images with a preview on my DVD player - so If I burn a disk, I have to create previews beforehand.
Photoshop :: Uninstalling CS3 Created
Apr 17, 2009I kept CS3 on my system even though I've been using CS4 since it was released. Uninstalled CS3 yesterday and since then I cannot call PS4 from Br4/ When I double-click on an image in bridge it brings up the magnifier. The menu option, "File-->Open With" does not show PS CS4 as an option nor does it give me a "Choose File" option. It does list Acrobat, my browsers, and Paint as opening programs. How can I get PS4 to show as an option here? Have searched all the Preferences but see no way to do it. On a related note -- is my memory faulty or didn't a double-click at one time allow one to open a photo in an external editor? Oh yes, I can open PS4 from LR, and I can open Br from PS4 via menu or icon click. Would appreciate some help. JEL P.S.I found I can get to PS4 from Br4 by first opening a photo in Camera Row and then opening it via the Open Image button.

Apr 11, 2008I am new to this. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. I am working on a PC using Photoshop CS2. I am working with a graphic artist that uses a MAC (Photoshop CS2). When I try to import her files into my Photoshop I get a message that says the layers can not be read and I must make a composite to see the file.
I need to see the layers so I can create menus for a DVD I am making( I am using Encore) Am I getting this message because I am going from a MAC to a PC? How can I get around this?

I have no problems reopening the files but some of my colleagues get an error when opening the tif file. This is the error message "This document contains unknown data which will be discarded to keep layers editable. To preserve the original appearance instead choose flatten to load composite data as a flattened image."

Feb 22, 2004i'm getting HUGE files on my secondary hard drive, and i think they are because i designated it as my primary scratch disk. the size of the files are from 175,000kb-245,000kb. an example of the file name is "Photoshop Temp3347028". can someone tell me what these are, and if i need them all? i'm sure i can delete at least some of them, but i just wanted to make sure before i go messing anything up. does it seem normal to have these files? my system is a bit unstable, and sometimes my computer crashes when using photoshop and i have other programs open. i have 1 gig of ram, but it crashes nevertheless. i'm mentioning this because i was wondering if these files might have something to do with photoshop crashing my system.

Oct 21, 2008I'm trying to create links from a webpage to specific spots in a pdf. I can get it to work perfectly if I create the hyperlink destinations in the pdf, using the Acrobat software. However, I was told you can create the hyperlink destinations in InDesign, then export the pdf, which I'd like to do because the InDesign original is going to change a lot, and then I wouldn't have to recreate all the destinations every time it's updated. When I try it, though, I can't get the webpage link to go to the destination, only to the top of the pdf.
I'm in CS3 and Windows.

Mar 30, 2004I have a web site I would like to use, purchased it from someone who assured me all that I needed to do was "tweek it" to my clients taste. I am now having difficulties trying to put my clients images into the template. The mask which is on the layer is fine, what I would really like to do is to import or whatever it takes to get my client's picture in place of the template picture. I do understand there are layers, and that I need to be on the correct layer to make the change... my problem is that all I want to do is to drop my clients picture onto the layer instead of the template picture. My alternative was to attempt to recreate all the template web site in my own layers... but, that defeats the purpose of buying the template.

May 15, 2012It appears that Photoshop on an osx machine is also creating a ._Pictures Name.jpg file for each jpg in the same folder as the jpg. Is that a Photoshop or osx thing? is there a way to prevent all those extra files from being created?

We put the folders of jpg's on the windows server, then have to go through and manually kill all those ._files before we can use the folder.
