Photoshop :: Cannot Seem To Delete A Pattern Preset
Nov 2, 2013I created a pattern (.pat) but I now seem unable to delete it. However, this pattern is not in my Presets > Patterns folder. When I search for it in my Finder, it doesn't show up. I am using Photoshop CS 6 and OS X Mavericks.

Lightroom :: How To Delete Develop Preset Folders
May 11, 2012I'm wondering if it's possible to delete the develop preset folders that come pre-installed with LR 4. I don't see them in the Develop Presets folder in Application Support/Adobe, and right-clicking on the folders themselves in LR doesn't provide the option to delete.
The folders I'm talking about are:
Lightroom B&W Filter Presets
Lightroom B&W Presets
Lightroom B&W Toned Presets
etc...

Oct 29, 2012When I was first using LR I was playing around with a watermark for my pictures, as well as a watermark. After I created the user preset and watermark, and also became more comfortable with the program and understanding what all settings meant, I wanted to edit them saving them under the same name, hoping to replace previous settings. However all I got was a notice that "The name is already in use." This then caused me to save the settings as a new preset and watermark. I was just wondering if there was a way to delete those original presets that I am not happy with?

Jun 22, 2012When i try to delete a file from LR using the delete from disk option the file does not so up in my trash. I have deleted 200 bad files and the never showed up in the trash. I have been trying to clear up some disk space but the available disk still shows the same so I know they haven't been deleted. Am using Lion on a MacBook Pro 15 and am fully updated. Am I doing something wrong?

Feb 9, 2013I have LR 4.3, Camera Raw 7.3
Until yesterday I was able to delete pictures, using the contextual menu or the delete key. I got the message asking me if I wanted to delete them from disk or from the catalog.
But now, that popup message doesn't appear. The picture is not removed, just nothing happens.
I checked the logs and this is the error message:
performCommandDesc could not perform command ag.library.expandAllStacks (Command was disabled.).
I uninstalled LR moving it to the trash. Then I deleted the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist and I also removed the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
I rebbooted the machine and installed it again. But the issue is still there, with the same error message.
I verified the disk and checked file permissions.
I also tried to use another catalog from a backup.
Nothing, same error.
One anusual thing that I did before the error was to install the "HDRsoft Merge to 32-bit HDR Plug-in for Lightroom - Version 1.0"
I removed it but the error was still there. After the re-install I didnd't install that plug-in again so if it was the problem, it shouldn't be after the clean installation that I did again.

Mar 25, 2013I had CS5 and downloaded CS6 and now I need to get my presets into CS6 and I followed directions to export and import and migrate as well even drag and drop and only one pattern comes up from the 22mb folder file I had in CS5 that we exported?
Any reasons why this would happen to to fix the issue as well?

Mar 21, 2005It used to be that in creating Photoshop work for video, you would start with 720 x 540 and then re-size down to 720 x 480 to correct for the square vs. rectangular conversion.
Now I see that Photoshop CS seems to have various presets for new files but I'm not sure if the regular DV (720 x 480) and others will work straight away without the conversion process.

Photoshop :: Can't Load Preset From Levels
Jan 2, 2013Ever since upgrading to CS6, when I click Levels>Load preset, I can no longer search in the window for the file. Previously, I could type in the file name and it would come up and I would select it. Now, when I search for the file name, there are no results at all. The file can be found by doing a regular search in a Finder window, but not through the window that comes up from the Levels window. I've reindexed Spotlight, and that has had no effect. The workaround is to open a Finder window, search, find the file, drag the file into the Levels' load window and select it there.

Jun 2, 2013I have a set of RAW Presets that I am trying to get to work in my RAW window... They are all in there and I have followed all the instructions that came with the download, but when I go to apply them to an image I keep getting these pop-up blocks!
First, it says to change to '2012' so I do that, and then when I click them again under the 2012 setting it says to go back to using '2010'!!

Jan 2, 2013I'm using CS5. In PS, when you go File > New and then try to save a new document preset, in the "Include In Saved Settings" group, there's a checkbox named "Content".
The tooltip for this checkbox says "Include initial document content in preset". What does this actually means? The document is empty, since it hasn't been created yet. So what is the "initial document content" it is referring to?

Jul 17, 2005I did this a while back and now I am putting together a content pack for some 3D content and need to add some home made patterns to the preset manager for some over lay effects.
I see the files are .pat files and tried to save a neat texture I made using an image my friend took of some fungus (trust me it looks cool ) using the GIMP 2.2 and then browsed to the new file in PS-CS and tried to load it up and got an error message that it was corrupt.

Aug 23, 2006i'm trying to make a new brush from a scanned photo. now i've done this before, and never had a problem, but it seems that with this particular picture, i can't. i've selected it, erased the background, turned it to grayscale etc.. looked in the tutorials, help, in many many forums.. i made sure the feathers were turned to 0, and the option "define brush preset" remains untouchable.

There is, however an x jitter flip and a y jitter flip.
I am using CS4 and my graphics board is NVIDIA GeForce4 MX420.
Operating system is XP Home.
Can I get the preset panel to work correctly?
