I've used Photoshop CS3 to create a Flash Web Gallery. I put that folder in my site root in dreamweaver, but when I add the .swf to the webpage- it only shows as a white box. Even when I press "play" nothing happens. What else needs to be done? All of the files created with the .swf are also already in the root directory.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am running Photoshop 7 on a Mac, the problem is that when I save a group of Jpegs, for some a preview is created, and others there is no preview. I am also using iPhoto, To get a preview I am having to use SAVE AS and that is tedious.
I seem to only be able to view the images with a preview on my DVD player - so If I burn a disk, I have to create previews beforehand.
I kept CS3 on my system even though I've been using CS4 since it was released. Uninstalled CS3 yesterday and since then I cannot call PS4 from Br4/ When I double-click on an image in bridge it brings up the magnifier. The menu option, "File-->Open With" does not show PS CS4 as an option nor does it give me a "Choose File" option. It does list Acrobat, my browsers, and Paint as opening programs. How can I get PS4 to show as an option here? Have searched all the Preferences but see no way to do it. On a related note -- is my memory faulty or didn't a double-click at one time allow one to open a photo in an external editor? Oh yes, I can open PS4 from LR, and I can open Br from PS4 via menu or icon click. Would appreciate some help. JEL P.S.I found I can get to PS4 from Br4 by first opening a photo in Camera Row and then opening it via the Open Image button.

I am new to this. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. I am working on a PC using Photoshop CS2. I am working with a graphic artist that uses a MAC (Photoshop CS2). When I try to import her files into my Photoshop I get a message that says the layers can not be read and I must make a composite to see the file.
I need to see the layers so I can create menus for a DVD I am making( I am using Encore) Am I getting this message because I am going from a MAC to a PC? How can I get around this?
How do I locate and action that I created in CS5, so I can load it into CS6?
I am running CS5 and 6 using Mac OSX Snow Leopard.

How can I determine if a png, created in photoshop, is interlaced?I have about 10 png files I need to check. Sure I could just re-save them for web and make them all interlaced,
but I don't want to lose image quality by going through this process again if it is unnecesary (because they are already interlaced).

I have no problems reopening the files but some of my colleagues get an error when opening the tif file. This is the error message "This document contains unknown data which will be discarded to keep layers editable. To preserve the original appearance instead choose flatten to load composite data as a flattened image."

I am just wondering if there is a certain way to export these animated gifs so that they may play on iPhone/iPad/Android? View 8 Replies View Relatedi'm getting HUGE files on my secondary hard drive, and i think they are because i designated it as my primary scratch disk. the size of the files are from 175,000kb-245,000kb. an example of the file name is "Photoshop Temp3347028". can someone tell me what these are, and if i need them all? i'm sure i can delete at least some of them, but i just wanted to make sure before i go messing anything up. does it seem normal to have these files? my system is a bit unstable, and sometimes my computer crashes when using photoshop and i have other programs open. i have 1 gig of ram, but it crashes nevertheless. i'm mentioning this because i was wondering if these files might have something to do with photoshop crashing my system.

I can get it to work perfectly if I create the hyperlink destinations in the pdf, using the Acrobat software. However, I was told you can create the hyperlink destinations in InDesign, then export the pdf, which I'd like to do because the InDesign original is going to change a lot, and then I wouldn't have to recreate all the destinations every time it's updated. When I try it, though, I can't get the webpage link to go to the destination, only to the top of the pdf.
I'm in CS3 and Windows.
When I make a web page in Photoshop CS3, I can't figure out how to create it in HTML where the page is center justified rather than right justified.

I have a web site I would like to use, purchased it from someone who assured me all that I needed to do was "tweek it" to my clients taste. I am now having difficulties trying to put my clients images into the template. The mask which is on the layer is fine, what I would really like to do is to import or whatever it takes to get my client's picture in place of the template picture. I do understand there are layers, and that I need to be on the correct layer to make the change... my problem is that all I want to do is to drop my clients picture onto the layer instead of the template picture. My alternative was to attempt to recreate all the template web site in my own layers... but, that defeats the purpose of buying the template.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt appears that Photoshop on an osx machine is also creating a ._Pictures Name.jpg file for each jpg in the same folder as the jpg. Is that a Photoshop or osx thing? is there a way to prevent all those extra files from being created?

We put the folders of jpg's on the windows server, then have to go through and manually kill all those ._files before we can use the folder.
I've upgraded to Photoshop CS6 and I noticed immediately that it has no option to use the Add_001.howto file that I was using in the previous version. Is there a stand alone application or method to access this file so that it would be convenient to view the previously saved tutorials that I created?

However I now need to edit it, how do you edit gradiants created using the tool? Or should I have used a mask and blending to retain editability.
[CS6] I created shapes with the pen tool.
Then I selected the path selection tool and selected a path.
Clicked right mouse key, choosed "Fill Path..." or "Fill Subpath" (don't know what it means). After filling with a color I get an object in
the form of the path and I can move the path to another place.
But I can't move the object in the shape of the path. I can't move it with "Path selection tool" because it's no path. Then I tried the "Move Tool" but I also can't select the object with it instead the whole canvas is moving.

How can I select and move shapes which were created with the pen tool?
Earlier this year, I was still using CS3. I created a bunch of original TIFF files, and modified files which had been created in CS1. When I am having to go back and reference these CS3 TIFFs, some of them are giving me an error message and refusing to open. Evidently, they are not compatible with CS6?

I have since uninstalled CS3, but the box is sitting on the shelf if I need it (which I am hoping I don't). Any workaround - preferably one which will not destroy my layers.
how to use 3F files created with flexcolor software in photoshop CS6. I have installed the Imacon 3F plug-in but can can only open the 3F files when I remove the camera RAW plug-in. Is there any way you can have both installed for it work. Also is it possible to import 3F files into Lightroom 5.Â
