Photoshop :: Working With Pictures Already Created.....

I have a web site I would like to use, purchased it from someone who assured me all that I needed to do was "tweek it" to my clients taste. I am now having difficulties trying to put my clients images into the template. The mask which is on the layer is fine, what I would really like to do is to import or whatever it takes to get my client's picture in place of the template picture. I do understand there are layers, and that I need to be on the correct layer to make the change... my problem is that all I want to do is to drop my clients picture onto the layer instead of the template picture. My alternative was to attempt to recreate all the template web site in my own layers... but, that defeats the purpose of buying the template.
I am encountering a problem with a panoramic picture created using photomerge and 8 pictures (with photoshop cc)The result was quite good with the exception of one segment not quite properly aligned. Â I managed to switch it up by a few pixels and the overall picture is almost "perfect" except that I have at one seam some empty space which I cannot fill by none of the tools like stamping, brushing, patching or even paint bucket. Â Now i have a snicking suspicion that the problem lies with the layers but I cant figure out to create duplicate layers and when that can be done.
In Photoshop CS5 I created a long action list which include lots of Shapes. I saved these action sets and loaded them into CS6. and they kept failing saying they couldn't find layer "Shape 1" "Shape 2" etc . this is because in CS6 the layers are now called "Rectangle 1" "Elipse 1" etc .  How can I get this to revert back to the "Shape 1, 2, 3, 4 etc etc".
Stretch (with it's middle hatched polyline) Rotate (keeping the center of the rotation at the base of my block) Stretch after rotating without skewing (which it's currently doing)
Take a look at my file and tell me what I'm doing wrong.*Before I made it a block I stretched it using the stretch tool and found that the filled polyline does stretch and fill along with the rest of the object.
I am trying to download pictures in folders and sub folders into the LR catalog. The import brings all the pics in the subfolders over but when II click on the parent folder it shows not pictures or number of pictures in it.Â
I imported pictures to Adobe Lightroom and exported them to my memory card. Now my memory card is broke! Is there any way to retrieve those pictures from Lightroom. Right now they are saying missing.
I am trying to place pictures into my paragraph text so that the text wraps around the picture (like you can in Word).? Can anyone let me know how to do this in Photoshop 7.0 for Windows??
All I can find is how to wrap text around object (i.e. word on a coffee cup image itself) or putting the actual picture as fill for the font.?
how to do this? I have included a PDF of a sample of what I'm trying to do.
After install the Orgainzer works but the Photo Editor doesn't. When I click the Photo Editor in the splash screen it tells me my trial period is up. I'm using Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit
I've used Photoshop CS3 to create a Flash Web Gallery. I put that folder in my site root in dreamweaver, but when I add the .swf to the webpage- it only shows as a white box. Even when I press "play" nothing happens. What else needs to be done? All of the files created with the .swf are also already in the root directory.
I am running Photoshop 7 on a Mac, the problem is that when I save a group of Jpegs, for some a preview is created, and others there is no preview. I am also using iPhoto, To get a preview I am having to use SAVE AS and that is tedious.
I seem to only be able to view the images with a preview on my DVD player - so If I burn a disk, I have to create previews beforehand.
I kept CS3 on my system even though I've been using CS4 since it was released. Uninstalled CS3 yesterday and since then I cannot call PS4 from Br4/ When I double-click on an image in bridge it brings up the magnifier. The menu option, "File-->Open With" does not show PS CS4 as an option nor does it give me a "Choose File" option. It does list Acrobat, my browsers, and Paint as opening programs. How can I get PS4 to show as an option here? Have searched all the Preferences but see no way to do it. On a related note -- is my memory faulty or didn't a double-click at one time allow one to open a photo in an external editor? Oh yes, I can open PS4 from LR, and I can open Br from PS4 via menu or icon click. Would appreciate some help. JEL P.S.I found I can get to PS4 from Br4 by first opening a photo in Camera Row and then opening it via the Open Image button.
I am new to this. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. I am working on a PC using Photoshop CS2. I am working with a graphic artist that uses a MAC (Photoshop CS2). When I try to import her files into my Photoshop I get a message that says the layers can not be read and I must make a composite to see the file.
I need to see the layers so I can create menus for a DVD I am making( I am using Encore) Am I getting this message because I am going from a MAC to a PC? How can I get around this?
How can I determine if a png, created in photoshop, is interlaced?I have about 10 png files I need to check. Sure I could just re-save them for web and make them all interlaced,
but I don't want to lose image quality by going through this process again if it is unnecesary (because they are already interlaced).
What is the correct way to save photoshop actions that I have created? I currently save them by selecting the folder and then 'Save Actions' from the dropdown.
I have created layered templates in CS6. I've saved them both as psd and tif formats (an industry requirement). I have no problems reopening the files but some of my colleagues get an error when opening the tif file. This is the error message "This document contains unknown data which will be discarded to keep layers editable. To preserve the original appearance instead choose flatten to load composite data as a flattened image."
I am familiar with creating animated gifs in photoshop. I have an iPhone 4s and I am able to view animated gifs. I am just wondering if there is a certain way to export these animated gifs so that they may play on iPhone/iPad/Android? Or am I able to just export the animated gif as I usually do and expect them to work on those platforms?!
I have an action set for text and I want to fiddle with a few of the actions, change the feathering and so on, without having to recreate the action. It's not an image adjustment like "levels" or "contrast", the action layer is called "make text" and contains a series of steps that it won't play individually. Is this possible?Photoshop CS4
i'm getting HUGE files on my secondary hard drive, and i think they are because i designated it as my primary scratch disk. the size of the files are from 175,000kb-245,000kb. an example of the file name is "Photoshop Temp3347028". can someone tell me what these are, and if i need them all? i'm sure i can delete at least some of them, but i just wanted to make sure before i go messing anything up. does it seem normal to have these files? my system is a bit unstable, and sometimes my computer crashes when using photoshop and i have other programs open. i have 1 gig of ram, but it crashes nevertheless. i'm mentioning this because i was wondering if these files might have something to do with photoshop crashing my system.
I've created an image from scratch using Photoshop CS2 (I combined a number of images into one image), to discover I need to make the image larger. Do I need to start over, or is there a way to resize the image without degrading the quality of the image?
I'm trying to create links from a webpage to specific spots in a pdf. I can get it to work perfectly if I create the hyperlink destinations in the pdf, using the Acrobat software. However, I was told you can create the hyperlink destinations in InDesign, then export the pdf, which I'd like to do because the InDesign original is going to change a lot, and then I wouldn't have to recreate all the destinations every time it's updated. When I try it, though, I can't get the webpage link to go to the destination, only to the top of the pdf.
I've noticed that this background texture is used quite a bit as html background tile. I can't for the life of me figure out how to create it. Is it a filter or a technique?
