View 1 RepliesI need to know how to print a color separation pdf from Illustrator cs 6. I am using Adobe Acrobat 9. When I hit the print command the file just disappears to who knows where.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with printing a color seperation. I'm working with CS5 and it won't allow me to print seperations to a pdf-file. I tried to print to an Adobe PostScript file, but also this won't allow me to select the Separations (Host-Based) or In‑RIP Separations Mode as that option is greyed out.
I followed: [URL]
I made sure all colours are in cmyk and already unsuccessfully checked google for solutions, but i'm sure that i'm just missing a simple option.
i really like the effect of half tone dots but i dont know how to acheive it.
the effect im going for is in this pic.
i assume it a series of filters
I have PS, AI and ID. Any good place that i can get generating a vector based half tone generator from an image. the idea is that i will mill this out of solid material. ideally i would like to control the size, type (circles, ellipses, squares or whatever) and arrangement of the results.
someone gave me a download of software called "dxf halftone21" but i am not getting this to work.
How does this site make the half-tone like patterns at the top and bottom?
I can't figure out how to do this with Photoshop CS2.
I am making an image to be screen printed. In the background theres a moon in a very dark sky. The moon is going to be white, with a greenish gradient glow (circle shaped) around it, fading into darkness in the rest of the sky. I have the gradient ready but I can't figure out what to do about making it a half tone so I can screen print it.
I suppose the specifics of my image aren't crucial. What I need to know is how to make a coloured half tone where it's essentially two colours on two separate layers that blend into each other. Should it be two half tone layers? Or is it better to have ONE of the two colours a half tone, while the other sits below and together they create the illusion of blending?
Draw X5 and Photo-Paint X5 won't print color on Canon iX6500. The print preview is B&W when it should be color and the print is B&W. The printer will print color just fine through any other application with the same printer setup settings. My old Canon ip 4300 will print color through both Corel X5s - no problem. the printer was installed after installing X5 if that matters. I'm thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor a long time I have been struggling to find a good workflow for what I would call "multi channel color separation". What I want is to reduce a full color RGB image into an image with only a limited number (e.g. 5-8) well-chosen colors, for instance to use as set of masks for screen print. (I'd also like to use this as an effect in itself, mimicking a typical 'screen print' or 'litho' effect on an inkjet print)
The idea is to create a set of monochrome layers or spot color channels. Colors are to be selected by myself (so not necessarily RGB or CMYK). Each channel/layer has to be a continuous tone that I transform myself into a dedicated half tone screen (e.g. with the Andromeda screen filter).
Till sofar it is clear to me. My issue is: How to separate the image in the predefined set of colors?
I can not just select a color range: I can adjust a "tolerance" but that is too general. I need the pixels of with a specific hue but with the full range of lightness (e.g. all the purple pixels that range from dark/medium purple to very light purple). The dark colors can be made dark with a black channel. I'm not sure how to deal with the saturation range.
An approach that gives sometimes a result that is to some extent acceptable is to transfer from RGB mode to an Indexed Color mode and use a custom palette. However, this does not give much control on the halftone screening process.
I envision for instance an approach of filling a layer with a solid given color, select in one way or another only those parts that correspond to the original image and subtract that layer somehow from the image. This process is then to be repeated for each color. Up till now I have not been able to figure the right options to do this. But maybe there is a better way to do it.
One final wish: it would be great if the process can take into account that some layers in the final print are (semi-)transparent. In my opinion this would exclude just selecting a color and deleting de pixels.
I am trying to learn about color separation for silk screening.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday CD upgraded itself as I turned it of to go home from work, when starting it the day after all seemed to be as it was util I should print out a color separation. Suddenly I now have to check every color that I want to print out, the only color that doesn't need to be checked is black(cmyk black) all pantoen colors have to be checked.
Why is this changed?
Can I set it up so all colors is to be printed as default?
Also having some trouble in exporting to EPS, when exporting all seems fine, but the file appears to be empty, the next exported files seems to be fine thou. First export is always empty.
Well as much as I do design work for customers for tee shirts,I never had to do color separation, for the screens.I’m wondering how do you do this? ( how do you separate colors in corel, for screen printing) .
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to create an A4 borderless print in my canon mg6150 from within the print module. I can do a borderless print using the canon easyprint.
I go into page setup and the properties of my printer and set the page layout to borderless and click OK.
However, I am unable to set the margins to zero. When I go back into my page setup and check the page layout, it has reverted to normal so it has ignored my setting.
Using Elements Ver. 7. I have one photo which I have cropped using a 4x6 aspect ratio. I've done the same thing on dozens of photos but this one only prints on half the page (4x6 photo paper) no matter what orientations I set the printer or the program to.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have scanned 35mm B&W negs into LR4. have printed about 40 images. all have different tones. some have blue or green or brown tones. some images are warmer than others and some colder.
the temp and tint scale are grayed out. impossible to have all images with same exp/contrast/etc.i have been told that when presenting a b&w body of work, all printed images have to have a similar tone.
I am currently printing/plotting a ANSI D size drawing to 1:2 scale but whether I plot directly to the printer or publish to PDF I lose the drawing border.
View 7 Replies View RelatedBrand new GIMP user. I have been able to layer my pictures to create the effect I want. My problem is PRINTING. I can print but it is only printing half of the picture. Trying to print 4x6. If I flip the setup on my printer to landscape it only shows the bottom of the picture and it is not centered, the right size, and is on the top middle of my 4x6 photo paper. If I leave at portrait, it only hows the right side of the picture and, again, is the worng size and on the left side of the photo paper. Obviously I am missing something very basic?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am making a short stop motion, and I need the colors to be somewhat the same in each picture. I have 150 pictures, but some a brighter / darker than the rest (and some are more yellow than others).
Is there a way, to "align" their colors?
I just ran into an issue with Photshop Elements 9. I was working on a digital painting trying to use a flesh tone color and while using the brush tool, when it started coloring a much more saturated version of the color I wanted. When I used the pencil tool though the color was exactly how it was supposed to look. I don't like the jagged edge the lines created using the pencil tool make.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just installed an HP5000N printer on a Windows 7 Network. I'm printing from CORELDRAW X3. (Same problem exists when using X5) I'm using the HP UNIVERSAL print driver. (I have both PCL & Postscript versions installed.)
I'm trying to use the ADVANCED Settings - which require POSTSCRIPT - with no success from either driver. I can SEE the dialog for changing LINE SCREEN, it allows me to change line screen (i.e. 35 lpi) and Screen angle (i.e. 45 degrees) - but when I PRINT - it give me the default printer screen of 100+ lpi.
I have also run the windows wizard and let WINDOWS search for a driver. It selected the HP5000 PCL 6 driver. This driver does NOT support the TABLOID (11x17) nor does it solve the no postscript functionality.
Getting an HP5000N to print different line screens from X3, or X5 running on W7 platform?
I'm looking for a way to print CDs (to Canon ip8500 and ip4300 printers) directly from Photoshop. I'm on x64 where Canon's CD Lable-print won't run, besides which I'd much prefer to print from Photoshop anyway. Is there a plug-in, a work round, a clever trick?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to edit a JPEG. It is one layer. My mode is Normal with 100% opacity, 100% fill. The layer is not locked.
I can use several tools including move, magic wand, paint bucket, crop. However, I cannot use the eraser, paintbrush, healing tool, clone stamp (which is the one I desperately need to use) or many others.
I have been printing half tones for quite some years now with no troubles, all of a sudden my post script printer wont print half tones, I must have changed an option somewhere, and dont know what I did whether I have changed something in corel or on the printer itself but I dont think it is the printer .
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been a long term Photoshop (elements) user, but rarely use it. I primarily use Aperture. I have a shot that I've printed successfully in 20 X 20 on aluminum and would like my next print to be bigger, 30 X 30 would be ideal.
I have a JPG Aperture export that measures 2318 X 2318 pixels. I was talking to a person at an art show this weekend, discussing my goal for this photo and he mentioned a feature of Photoshop that can take this image and basically adds more pixels. It's a 3 second motion shot in low light, so I'm not too worried about losing sharpness.
Here is a 1024 X 1024 export of the photo.
Where is it? It was there in 5.0 and 4.4.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have stiched together six photos to make a panorama photo. When I go to print that combination photo only one of the six photo shows up in the Print window. Only one photo is printed, not the panorama one. I tried using the Finder > Print box and the copy of the panorama photo I had in a folder on the my desktop. That worked. I want to use photo paper for the print and make some adjustments, that doesn't work from the Finder > Print selection. The original panorama photo was a TIFF file and ended up to be 155MB, but I made a copy in JPEG and that file was 13.2MB.

Previously I had corel x3 now there is problem with the new version of corel the color display is not proper that is the colors yellow appears to be deep yellow in corel x5 where as if I save the file & open it in corel x3 the yellow color appears properly. I mean to say that there is always a darkish tone added to all colors in corel x5. Both corel x3 & x5 are on the same PC as I am facing this display problem I have to switch back to X3.
