Any good place that i can get generating a vector based half tone generator from an image. the idea is that i will mill this out of solid material. ideally i would like to control the size, type (circles, ellipses, squares or whatever) and arrangement of the results.
someone gave me a download of software called "dxf halftone21" but i am not getting this to work.

Photoshop :: Gradient Half Tone For Screen Printing
Sep 27, 2013I am making an image to be screen printed. In the background theres a moon in a very dark sky. The moon is going to be white, with a greenish gradient glow (circle shaped) around it, fading into darkness in the rest of the sky. I have the gradient ready but I can't figure out what to do about making it a half tone so I can screen print it.
I suppose the specifics of my image aren't crucial. What I need to know is how to make a coloured half tone where it's essentially two colours on two separate layers that blend into each other. Should it be two half tone layers? Or is it better to have ONE of the two colours a half tone, while the other sits below and together they create the illusion of blending?

May 1, 2008I am trying to edit a JPEG. It is one layer. My mode is Normal with 100% opacity, 100% fill. The layer is not locked.
I can use several tools including move, magic wand, paint bucket, crop. However, I cannot use the eraser, paintbrush, healing tool, clone stamp (which is the one I desperately need to use) or many others.

When the modify dimensions box is open, the 'roundoff' menu gives me 1/16", 1/8" etc, even when DECIMAL is selected as the unit format.
This wasn't happening earlier, not sure what's going on. [in fact in a solved problem from earlier, a colleague found a drawing that had units set to millimeters, had its insertion scale set to inches! Different computer, so not related].

Jan 19, 2009I just bought the PHOTOSHOP CS4, and I am having problem when it prints. The image is not clear, it has dots (pixels). This computer where I installed this program is brand new. I have previously worked with Photoshop CS2 and never had an issue but was force to buy this new one because the computer that I bought has Windows Vista and CS2 is not compatible. I thought maybe the problem was my printer but is not I have a Brother HL-5140 (black and white). I have connected my old computer with the printer and the images print perfectly fine. I have printed photos and it prints clear. But this only happens with Photoshop CS4. It prints dots.

Feb 16, 2006I want to make this effect on a photo. Its abit difficult to explain, but I'll try:
The image only contains one color, say black or red, and is put together by dots in different sizes and with different space between them, not sure, might just me different space between them. In the dark areas they are close to each other and in lighter areas they have a greater distance between each other.
I also wonder how to make the same kinda dot effect, but not with only one color. like magazies and newspaper use when they print photos. Im not reffering to the halftone filters. I tried to define a dot pattern, and delete the inverted pattern in the image, but im not satisfied with the results...

May 1, 2004I have just aquired a copy of my great grandmother, unfortunatly it came from a newspaper or a magazine. However I would like to remove the halftoning and then later colorize it. The latter should be no problem as I've done tht before, but those pesky halftones have me stumped. I have tried using gaussian blur and unsharp mask but it looks a bit iffy if you know what I mean.

May 15, 2013How to even out the skin color, I have a picture of a model, unfortunately due to light and make up and her skin color the color of her face and her hands and body don't match, I think I saw a video on youtube where the skin color was evened out throughout the picture from raw I think this was done on bridge but I am not sure. How to even out the skin color either on PS or bridge?
I currently have CS5 on a win 7 pc.

Jun 17, 2006if there was a way to create a brush that half was the foreground color and half was the background color...
for example, I have a mountian brush. and the shadow of the mountian is black, as is the outline, but alot on the inside is white. Since its white, when i use the brush, if they overlap, you can see through the mountian... not exactly what i was going for. So, any way to use 2 colors? or make the brush sold without making it all back? I tried a shade of grey, but that just creates an lighter opacity of the forground color, and the FG/BG jitter just chages the color of what was originally black.

Photoshop :: Brush Is Making Dots Instead Of Line
Feb 22, 2012Last night in CS5 I was playing with the opacity and spacing of the brush, and now I can't get back to a normal brush.I want just a normal stroke, but the brush is making lots of transparent dots instead. I've switched to Photoshop Elements 7 for now and everything is fine there, it's only CS5.
