Apr 30, 2012I've tried using Brush dynamics and spacing, but can't figure out how they got it to taper in two directions. Is this a pattern or something?

Choose Brush and make sure there is a tick next to Simulate Pressure. This is important as it will give your curve tapered ends which will make it rock!
I know there are many ways to create light beams or God beams. There are several tutorials and net has many brushes.I just want to make a simple tapered brush in Photoshop CS6 so that If I click at a source like window then shift click at another place I get a 'tapered' beam, smaller at origin and flaring to larger size, like a flashlight beam
it should be easy with shape dynamics and all, but I am not able to figure this out.
To create realistic threads, I simply sweep the thread profile along a helix with Align set to “no”. (This actually creates the negative of the thread, which must then be subtracted from a cylinder.)
When I attempt to follow the same procedure using a conical helix to produce tapered pipe threads, however, it does not work. When I set Align to “no”, I get an error message saying “cannot sweep the profile”. If I try it with Align set to “yes”, the profile is twisted and the result does not look like threads.
Any way around this issue, or is this a fundamental limitation of AutoCAD?
I have created a pattern brush and applied it to a stroke. My question is: Can I now taper the pattern brush once applied to the stroke?
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing CS6 on Windows 7. I've got a product photo of a product with square corners and the shot is taken on a angle so that a corner is pointed out towards you with 2 sides going away from you. I've created a copy of the layer, flipped it vertically and lowered the opacity to create a reflection. I then added a layer mask to the reflection layer and then a gradient to fade out the relection to solid white on 1 side of the product. But I need to apply a gradient to the other side of the product to fade out its reflection, but when I do this, it removes the first gradient. How can I fade out both sides of my reflection?
View 6 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop displays metadata for images, including Camera Data. The latter can include Owner, but it is not told where that information comes from. It is possible that it comes from a “metadata template” as accessed by the second of the four tabs at the bottom of the Camera Data screen. There is a folder: User>Library>Application Support>Adobe>IMP>Metadata Template, but that latter folder is empty, and (quite naturally) there exists no directions for setting up any metadata template. At least one does not turn up from searching the Adobe website. There are vague hints about the existence of direction (as at URL...), but no specific directions where they are actually likely to be needed.

I've been playing around with the pen tool and i was wondering whether there was a way of altering the brush dynamics so that when i stroke the path it produces a tapered effect i.e. so that the path starts as a point, grows thicker towards the middle, then tapers back to a point?
