Photoshop :: Changing Numbers To Brush Name In Preset Picker?
Oct 30, 2012
how to change the numbers to the brush name in the brush preset picker?
When you hover over a brush in the picker you get the name of the brush. I think it would work better if the numbers were replaced with the name of the brush.
I hereby have a school note report from my little brother. He told me he had some bad notes in his last period and I would like to make a fake copy of it.
Basically, I scanned his 3th period notes and I would like to change some and add some
How you can remove numbers and add new ones over it and add numbers with the same digital code used on the old ones to put those in empty notes
Can you save custom brush presets in CS6 for people in lower versions to install and use?? So far hasn't worked... error compatibility message. I've designed all of these things, and now only those with CS6 seem to be able to utilize!
i'm trying to make a new brush from a scanned photo. now i've done this before, and never had a problem, but it seems that with this particular picture, i can't. i've selected it, erased the background, turned it to grayscale etc.. looked in the tutorials, help, in many many forums.. i made sure the feathers were turned to 0, and the option "define brush preset" remains untouchable.
I'm unable to find a brush option for using a brush to change the density of an existing density to a preset density in the same way color fil is used to fill a tone. An example of the use would be...a shadow or reflection on a 255 white background; when the brush with the color or shade is used to paint over the background, it fills only the shadow/reflection in with the preset density. Thus allowing you to have the same exact color/density for all shadows/reflections. This is how the color fill or color setting in brushes works only that doesn't change density, only color/tone.
I'm using Photoshop CS5 on a MacBook Air running OS X 10.8.2...I have managed to change the brush in my quick selection tool, or at least the way it looks on the screen, and I can't figure out how to get it back.
It now looks like a paint brush with light rays around it instead of the circle with the plus sign in the middle. It does not change size when the ] key is hit.
The current preset says its Quick Selection Tool Hard Round 250 1...In addition when I use the marquee tool I can not see the crosshairs when I am inside the image. The only thing I have knowingly done is to create a preset for a dashed line and imagine in doing that I have messed up the other. I have also changed the preferences for the cursor back and forth between standard and precise but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
I've done it before in earlier versions and I assume it's in the same place but where is the option to rotate a brush in CS6, I have to many layers to deal with transform after applying I know it's here somewhere?
I've loaded a set of brushes I created into CS6. They show up fine in the menu bar brush window, in the Preset Manager, in the Brush Preset palette above my layers palette, but they will not appear in the brush preset fly-out window. This is where I do all the manipulating of my brushes, of course, so this is essential. I have created many, many brushes and done this many, many times and have never had this problem.
I am sure that in the past Texture settings saved when I loaded a saved Art History Brush tool preset. But suddenly, the Texture setting - specifically Depth, is not being remembered. In other words - I have saved an Art History Brush as a Tool Preset. I have then used some other brushes and experimented with texture including the Depth setting. When I go back to the saved tool preset, the Texture Depth setting has changed to whatever it was when I last used it - not its saved value. I thought the point of Tool Presets is that they save all brush characteristics.
I'm using CS6. The tool presets and their Texture attributes work fine in CS5. Maybe I need to reinstall CS6.
When in brush mode, clicking "ctrl" switchs to color picker until yourelease. Is this shortcut editable? What if I want this to be set onAlt instead, for instance?
I could not find any shortcut which looks like it would do this in thekeyboard shortcuts list. Is there one? How to change this shortcut?
i can't find a way to change opacity by taping numbers on my Macbook Pro Retina (French version AZERTY).I think the problem comes from the fact that i don't have a numeric keypad. For instance, on the brush tool, if i enter 1 (by pressing shift+&), i change the flow to 10% and so on, but i didn't find a shortcut to change the opacity. On the move tool, if i enter 1 (by pressing shift+&), the opacity of the active layer don't change.
How do I to change some of the information in a custom metadata preset which I already created for in the "Applying During Import" window. If the preset can/t be modified, is there a way to simply remove it and make another one. Also, how to enlarge or reduce the size of lightroom on my monitor?
I'm using CS2 on Mac OSX 10.4. Recently I tried importing a Photoshop image into Illustrator and then matching a color in Illustrator to a color in the Photoshop document. But Illustrator changed the CMYK values of the color in the Photoshop document even though I have "Preserve CMYK colors" checked in the color setup window. Both applications and files are set to SWOP v2.
I don't have the same problem when placing either Photoshop or Illustrator files into InDesign.
I ended up recreating the project in InDesign to get consistent color, but I need to know how to make Illustrator preserve color numbers for the project that will come up for which I need Illustrator features.
I've been using Corel Draw! 8 for years and my favorite tool was the angle of rotation. For example, I would select an object, usually a rectangle that has the point of rotation at end of the narrow rectangle. As I rotated it, I could see how much the angle of rotation in degrees is. Therefore I could type a value in the box and the rectangle would rotate some many degrees. Fast forward to my Corel Draw 12. Now when I click on the same object, the box will display what the angle is in degrees already based on the circular angle startingaat the nine o'clock position. I need it to say ZERO and I can't find the setting to set it at zero
what I am drawing is I rotate a narrow rectange and basically creating a dial face for instruments.
I'm teaching myself 3D from a textbook. The text gives an example of how to create a UCS that is located on a 3D example part from the CD that came with the book; this is done using the UCS command. It also shows how to use the viewport presets. I was able to move the UCS as needed around the part, I was able to use the viewport presets to look at the part from different sizes, but if I created a UCS and then used the preset views, the new UCS I created did not stay oriented, but instead appeared to default to the origin. But when I rotated the part with the mouse without using viewport presets, the UCS stayed put.
When using a hard-edged brush (round in this case), and using Shift+click to draw a continuous segment, the segment isn't perfectly straight at top and bottom. I know this is because of the "spacing" value of the brush, so the question is... can you make a global change for ALL brushes to have a spacing value of 1%?
trying to create a signature brush for signing my work in cs2.
I have done everything you are supposed to do but after I marquee my free form signature and text I cannot define the brush preset under edit. It is greyed out.
How do I make cursor size the same as paint brush size in CS6? It isn't and it makes selecting more difficult. Preferences>cursor does not seem to fix.
When changing brush size in CS6, I've noticed that it is has granular resolution from 0 pixels up to around 500pixels, incrementing in size very slowly. However, above 500 pixels it increases in size very rapidly, jumping to 800, 1200, 1500 and then into the 2000s.
As most of the photos that I work on have a high pixel count I find that my ideal brush size is between 400 and 1000, occasionally I use it at around 100 pixels, and occasionally at 2500.
Is there any way of changing the scale of the brush size so that it allows greater sensitivity in the 400 to 1000 range?
i have used photoshop for years now. However, I still have CS3 or 4 still. Anyway, my brackets ( [ ] ) aren't changing the brush size any more. Instead they're changing the opacity. I can't figure out how to change it back. I desperately need it to change my brush sizes again. It takes way too long doing them manually ;)
We use C3D 2012 (metric only) - We are attempting to customize our list of structures for Sanitary Sewers. The structure list shows sizes we do not use and we would like to modify them. However, when we try to select the "Inner Diameter" it displays a list of sizes that we can not seem to modify or add to.
I have looked at some of the XML files to try and modify or add new sizes (example: AeccStructConcentricCylinder_Metric.xml) , but they do not seem to be recognized even after I restart the program.
My brush and dropper tips had changed when I opened the program today. I'm trying to switch from Precise to Normal. I've tried to change it through Preferences, but it seems that my changes won't save. I have Elements 10 and Windows 8.
I have subroutine that retrieves a list of detail numbers in a drawing. Sometimes there are missing numbers. I am looking to find a list of any missing numbers.
Example -
(setq List_DN (list 1 2 3 5 6 7 10 11 12 17))
Missing numbers are - 4,8,9,13,14,15,16
I would like a subroutine to take the List_DN are return the following missing numbers as text
I am trying to link my parts list to a drawing however all balloons have different numbers.
I open the assembly and check everything out from vault I open my bom and change item numbers. When I get back to my drawing and apply for auto balloon I get completely different item numbers in my balloons. We just updated our software to a new 2012 version so it's maybe something with set up.
