I run an action to prepare my photos for FB, 500px, Photo.net, etc., which reduces image size 960 x ?, 8-bit, sRGB, and 72 dpi. I then sharpen and add copyright info. However, when I use "Save to Web" it reduces the size of the photo and strips metadata for faster loading but reverts back to a 300 dpi resolution.

I prefer to use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+< for step backwards and SHIFT CTRL+> for step forwards in the Application Menus > Edit. After changing to these shortcuts I save them but each time I restart Photo-show they have changed back to their original settings. How can I stop this happening?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with a drawing done by an architect. It is a map tile with a site layout drawn on. The way it is rotated, north is actually pointing somewhere east. I reckon they have shifted the UCS for whatever reason, and the cursor has become that rotated red and green crosshairs.
How can I change it back so the north of the map tile is actually pointing north?
I transfered photos from "My Pictures" to photoshop to fix them but now I'm unable to transfer them back to My Pictures. How can I do it?

I have both Adobe Premiere Elements 11 and Photoshop 11 which I got three weeks ago. The only thing new on my computer is the software that came with my Nikon camera - NX2 - a photo storage and photo editing program. My photos are still in my Windows Pictures program.
I have a couple of floating licenses for an old inventor series 11 product. Â The license server is down and I need to change these licenses back to standalone licenses. Â I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as standalone but it will not let me activate the software with the serial numbers on the back of the packaging. Â

Everything seemed to install just fine, but when I open LR4, the new whites highlights shadows blacks sliders instantly turn back to the old LR3 recovery fill light sliders....I see them for about 3 seconds and they change right before my eyes.

When I select it the colour options are grey scale. I can change the option but if I click off the image the options go back to grey scale. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing with several dynamic blocks (over 1000 block references) with visibility states. I recently noticed that all of the blocks no longer have the option to change the visibility state (i.e. the upside down blue triangle no longer appears when clicking on the block).
If I insert a new block it comes in with the option to change the visibility state. However, the previously placed blocks still do not have the option of changing the visibilty state. Even if I update the definition of all block references in my drawing nothing changes with the previously placed blocks.
Is there an option/command to bring back the option of changing visibility states on my previously placed blocks?
Going back to look for photos in LR is very tedious due to this error. I fully expect this error to occur multiple times while locating a past photo. I have to do it in steps by closing LR often, and reopening it so I don't have to start at the beginning of the search when this error occurs. LR does not write a current position to disk until closed (it should write current), which means it forgets where I was after this error. Â

My photos are in directories by year/date. Expanding a year to find a photo is like fully expecting this error to occur. My preferred import arrangement is year/date (to minimize the length of any one physical file list based in the way I shoot). I don't know if it's the arrangement, but this errors a LOT. I am on V4.4, and this error has been occurring for as long as I can remember. The product testers are obviously not running into this error since it isn't getting fixed. I don't think they test the left pane very well for the various directory schemes that a user can come up with.

My catalog previews were recently rebuilt. The catalog is around 5gb and contains all my photos. I am using SSDs for the LR user files, catalog, raw cache, and previews. Only the actual photos are on spinners.
My workflow goes like this:

I use LR3 to apply adjustments, occasionally a preset from say VSCO. While in LR I use, PHOTO > EDIT This photo in - PHOTOSHOP

I do my edits, ADD NOISE, SHARPEN....

Then PHOTO > SAVE AS.....

I save the photo to my external...

Here is the issue, when I re-open LR the photo is then present in my Catalog and there in LR to be viewed.... from here I export the final size for web etc and I am done

QUESTION IS:Â The photo that is now within my LR catalog is missing the NOISE I am added completely, and the SHARPENING is gone, or much less sharp then the photo I have saved in PS.

How do I export all the photos I imported back to their original folder just as they were, they haven't been modified, adjusted etc. I imported them by mistake.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have moved and renamed a folder in the external harddrive. Syncing that moved folder in lightroom is not working in bringing back all the photos to Lightroom - Although all the photos exist in that folder as I have confirmed through windows explorer.

Another Option: If I choose "import photos to this folder option" in LR and browse to the source to that folder - the missing photos are shown as shaded back and the import button (bottom right corner) is not highlighted. Therefore I cannot select these missing photos and hence cannot import them to the folder.
I have all of my photos on an external hard drive that I am currently accessing through a router. I would now like to access the external hard drive directly from my laptop (thereby changing the path). How do I do this while still retaining all of the tags and places I have stored?Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedMany of my videos seem to be trimming and saving to a file. With a HD video at a high data rate, all I do is trim the video and save back to a file. However, I select the "Same as first video clip" to save to a new file. What I usually do is save the file and use a third party software to reduce the video the data rate I need.
In other to reduce the re-rendering time, I wish both processes could be done in VS's 'Options' button.

View 10 Replies View Relatedchanging the background colors of multiple photos. I have tryed all the erase options, but colored boex are always left after I finish erasing. While erasing there is also a black square around the circle shape erase tool.

I did select the foreground and background colors to be white. White is the only colors selected.
Should be a simple question. Using Designer Pro X I load a PNG file. I then do nothing except "save as" also in PNG format.
My expectation was I would get the same file. Instead it seems to have changed the resolution and now looks terrible.
An ordinary graphic program like paint.net or photoshop would save the same file back to disk.
There must be something I am failing to understand about Xara. How do I edit a bitmap and have it save back in its original resolution?
