I have an existing web page that I would like to keep updating by adding new hyperlinks. I have built the page in Photoshop and "Save for Web" to MS Frontpage. The page will eventually have 36 slices in it so I can add hyperlinks to it.
My problem is that when I unhide a layer (for my new hyperlink) in Photoshop and resave for web into Frontpage, I have to add all of the hyperlinks again. If I add a new hyperlink each week, by the time I get to 36 weeks I will be tired of adding all of those hyperlinks each time I add one. Any ideas? I think the answer lies in the ImageReady part of Photoshop, but I'm not sure how to accomplish it.
i use special non standard non latin fonts, say font X.
and I save my files as PSD
when I open the same file later, photoshop7.0 ME asks me to update the layers in which there are those fonts as if it does not find font X among my system's fonts.
If I choose to update, the new font is totally different from font X, and font X is still there and I can use it....
what shall I do to prevent this ? I would highly appreciate your feedback.
(I surely do not want to rasterize my layers, as I would like to change the font later on)
I can open GeoPdf files in Cs2 but when I upgraded to Cs5 I only get a blank image when I open up the geopdf files. Is there a certain setting I'm missing?Â
I'm attempting to create a table within autocad that I can update as I add new things to my drawing.Â
I have a ton of dblocks that carry attributes with them, and I want to be able to have the table in autocad populate with the information from each insertion.Â
The table in autocad will be linked to an excel spreadsheet that should also be updated (either as a separate action or automatically... not sure what would be better).Â
The table in excel will go through a system of formula that will divide it up into useable groups for me. How do I update a table within Autocad, instead of having to create a new table every time I want to add data to the extraction information?
I have recently updated my template files in Inventor (.idw, .ipt (standard/sheet metal), .iam (standard/weldment)).I added ilogic rules and custom iproperties to them.
I would like to update all my existing files to have these changes so they would be available when we copy design new parts.Is there a way automate the process of updating these files? I have about 4924 of them.
In fact, some of the things I've found online refer that you cannot automatically replace entire Titleblock Templates for existing Sheets in the Sheet Set Manager. So, here's my question:
Can you replace all existing Sheets in a Sheet Set with an entirely new Template file automatically, without opening each Sheet and re-inserting the Title block?
Example: Let's say I have a Sheet Set. Inside the Sheet Set, I already have 20 sheets created. I then realize that my Template file is missing our company logo. I then have to open the Template file and insert my company logo. Well, this works for all newly created sheets from that point forward, but how can I get this change to automatically populate in the existing 20 Sheets that are already in the Sheet Set?
I am trying to add page numbers to an existing document. I have tried to add them in Prepress, but all I see is the "Print File Information" and even that is not in a location I want. I have the "Position Within Page" checked.
I am using Mech 2007. I have created a template to use with new drawings, and want to know if there is a way to update all the drawings at the same time when updating the template.
I have an image which is simply a one color gradient, with transparency from nothing to something. I would like to be able to access the existing gradient on the image and change only the color. I have hunted high and low and cannot see how to do this.
(I am familiar with how to make a new gradient and how to change the colors in a saved gradient via the gradient dialogue. But for the life of me, I can't see how to access an existing gradient on an image and change only this one parameter.
I'm trying to create an all new existing surface over existing ground. I have a TIN surface of the EG, and I have drawn overlay splines that describe the new surface, but how to go about creating that design surface.
It is a compound surface, open on one end and closed all around on the other, somewhat like a half of a football stadium, but with an irregular upper edge because I am needing to figure out cuts and fills to manipulate the EG into this new surface without costly major terraforming. There is about 40-50' vertical elevation between the "field" and the upper rim with a generally constant 7-10 deg. slope all around. I'm just at a loss to figure out how to approach this project, and am quite new to Civil 3D.

I have found loads of tutorials showing how to do this with a normal single tone page but I am having trouble getting the curl to work well on the bottom right hand corner with the texture and also the torn edge. I have tried distorting it but it just goes all blurred.
Some background: We have a composite surface of existing surveyed contours as a TIN pasted into existing aerial contours that we received from a client. We used polylines to generate our proposed contours, and then generated a proposed surface from that. We've made a blank surface, pasted in the existing surface, and are trying to paste in our proposed surface... only the existing contours outside of the proposed suface no longer line up correctly once we do.
We've tried applying the method laid out here: [URL] ........ (and the link referenced in the bottom) but are still having trouble getting the surface to work. We've tried offsetting as little as 0.25' and as much as 5' with the feature line draped over the existing surface, but it seemed that the greater the offset, the greater the discrepancy.
Just to make sure we even tried that correctly - should the breaklines that we add be standard or non-destructive? (I've tried it both ways with little success either way, so I don't know if it matters much in this instance, but perhaps for future reference it would work.)
I've attached a screen shot of our surfaces. The pink and green lines are the proposed contours, the white dashed are the existing. The outer red line is offset 0.25'. As I've mentioned, we've tried offsetting various amounts with decreasing success.
Is there a way to remove the *Model* page setup entry from the list of Page Setups in the Page Setup Manager? This is the first time I am seeing *Model* in the list, and I suspect that it the reason I am not able to generate a PDF for this particular drawing. When I try, I get the following error:

I have this idea that removing *Model* from the list will do it. In addition to causing PDF creation failure, I believe it is also responsible for forcing the Model to always be in the Publish list, even though I have unchecked the "Include model when adding sheets" option. I can remove it from that list manually, but it comes back every time.
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
Several times a week I need to take a PDF (single-page doc), then convertto a page-sized PNG with quality good enough to read the text (and atransparent border), and then convert to a SWF. I have a PNG-to-SWFutility, but when I used it on the PNG saved after I opened my PDF andexported from GIMP, the end result was not good enough. A co-worker saidGIMP couldn't make a PNG (w/transparency) with enough quality. He said we'dhave to use some other software. Part of the issue was not being able toresize without losing quality before the PNG export. True or false?
After moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.
Trying to set up a datamerge file to create multi page spread documents with fields on different pages. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.  I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.Â
If it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?
I am guessing this will be a no but is there a way to change page setup for more than 1 page at a time? Â I have multiple pages in a drawing that I want to change to all the same page setup.
how to get the page count of a multi page PDF file? I know you can then open each page using the PDFFileOptions (pagetoopen). But I need to know up front how many pages there are to loop thru to open each page and process each page.
Indesign CS6: I've years of extensive experience using Master Pages. Now, however, when I insert a single page in a facing page document, the headers shift off the page. I've tried everything I can think of to stop this. I'm not using liquid layout or any of those layout things. Â This is very problematic as I do textbooks with hundreds of graphics and I either have to manually move all the master page items on every page after an insertion; or I have to shift all graphics manually to the next page after moving those to the next page, and the next, and so on. Â I'm praying this is just a "hey, you must have X set to X and by deselecting it you'll be fine."Â
In the past two days, two-page PDFs that I save out of CS6 are printing with the second page upside down. I have tried resaving the documents—didn't work. Tried saving the documents as individual PDFs and combining the PDFs in Acrobat—didn't work. I have had my colleagues print them, and the second page is upside-down too. When I print two-page PDFs that I saved last week or longer ago, I have no problem at all. It just seems to be happening with recently saved PDFs. I didn't update any software on my computer between saving the PDFs that are printing correctly and when this problem began.
Does Xara Designer support the ability to change one object on for example page 1, and that the change propagates to all the same objects on all other pages? I'm doing a lot of web design work, so this would be quite handy, but I haven't found a way to do that.
A little + sign appears at the bottom right corner of a text cell when the text overflows. I find I cannot pick up the additional text by clicking the + sign to place it on the next text cell thus linking text from page to page. Am I missing something or is such a useful facility unavailable in Lightroom? If that's the case, is there a good reason for Lightroom not offering text linking between pages?
I am trying to update ACR in CS6 to take photos from Canon 6D. However for some time I have been getting the error message "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect.
I have 2 updates, download them and install is said to be done but they don't.It continues to tell me I have updates and then download but nothing happens. I have tried everything I know toclean, clear cache, defrag, etc. etc....but it remains the same. Anyone have any ideas as to why I can't get my downloads...or by chance if there isn't any...why "update" is not greyed out?
