Is there a way to get several pages of existing text from a word processing or page layout program to flow into corresponding pages in Lightroom?
View 3 Repliesis it possble to arrange artboards in Illustrator CS6 so page 1 is on its own and pages 2 and 3 (and 4 and 5 etc) are facing each other as they would be in a printed book. In other words the same way as in InDesign?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to be able to copy text from another program (Microsoft Word) and then, using the Text tool in Photoshop (CS6), paste that text, but where it retains the correct italics formatting I had in the other program--and not as an image of text (Ctrl+P), in which the formatting is present, as a flat image, but rather as an actual unpasteurized and editable Text layer.
For example, the sentence “I told you..” where 'told' is italics, simply pastes into Photoshop as "I told you.." without the original formatting. Is there a way to get Photoshop to recognize formatting from pastes without my having to manually re-apply the formatting myself? This would be a hassle over a long period of time. If necessary I would be willing to use a plug-in that allows for this sort of recognition.
I am working on creating a book layout for print. I opened the .doc file through my Mac text editor and placed in InDesign CC as a text flow. I am working on adding design elements now (after I adjusted the page layout of the text on all the pages) and blank pages keep inserting themselves in weird places (for instance page 7 will suddenly turn into a blank page and my text will move itself down while design elements such as chapter headings will stay in the place where I put them, but then be completely out of place according to where the text is now). I have tried to adjust it every way I can think of--- by moving all of the text up onto the new blank page and re-aligning the chapter headings, by moving the blank pages to the end of the book and deleting them, and of course, by just simply deleting them. (Deleting them just causes the layout to become mis-aligned even worse, and just re-adds the blank page I attempted to delete.)

It would be much easier for me to stay in Illustrator. My plan is to create a a pfd book and an ebook for sure - and possibly, later a printed book. I'm completely stumped about how to make the right choice. BTW - I don't plan to produce the ebooks via InDesign but through a simple iPad App that just allows you to lay in a picture and put the text over it.I'm using CS4.

In the print module when I click on page setup it is only showing me measurements in mm. This means that when I want to, for instance, create a 10x8 custom page, I can only do it in mm. I have the ruler units set to inches in layout. I've looked to see if I can change it in preferences, but can't find anything.

I'm trying to create a simple 6 image per page book using Auto Layout. No matter what I try, I cannot get it to lay the images out in sequential order.
The images are numbered 001_XXXX.jpg and I see them in the correct order in the LR Library.

I find I cannot pick up the additional text by clicking the + sign to place it on the next text cell thus linking text from page to page. Am I missing something or is such a useful facility unavailable in Lightroom? If that's the case, is there a good reason for Lightroom not offering text linking between pages?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to put 2 .pdf pages on one page. I used to do it with Illustrator (CS5) and it worked just fine up until now, but now (when I import .pdfs) Illustrator gives prompts like:
"The font Arial is missing. Affected text will be displayed ..."
Is there any way of eliminating such prompts with those .pdfs?
Ive got a headed paper done in photoshop (as it is quite difficult to create a decent design directly in word) and was wondering if there is any way it can be imported into word (maybe as a template, or bacground image, or something)

I checked out the macro for the consecutive numbers by using the print merge option. I found out that using the print merge and merging it to a new document does exactly what I needed to do to be as efficient as possible, except if i need to number 120 labels, it opens up 120 pages on the document. How to merge the pages to have 1 page with all 120 labels. I know there is a way to put as many labels as possible on a page when using a regular printer, but I'm printing on viynil and theres a cut contour I need

It's a book, and I want the opposing pages to have wider spine-side margins, so I'd like to be able to set up every other page with a different master page to accomplish this. Is there any way to automatically set this up? I'd hate to have to go through and manually select every other page of a 200+ page document and set the appropriate master page.

I tried making PDF and importing it into corel but most of logos not coming well bcz those are bitmap, some bitmaps are viewing as a horizontal sliced.

It's time consuming to hit that printer button x number of times. I just had to print 50 pages of the same layout today and it would be so much easier to let the printer print the 50 copies instead of sending 1 page 50 times to the printer.

With Draw X5, you have to hit page up or page down twice to switch to the next set of pages.
Not a huge deal to hit it twice now, but is there a way to set X5 to the previous behavior where with facing pages one page down would take you from page set 1-2 to 3-4?
Is there any way different than drag and drop for moving pages in multiple pages designs. I have some presentation designs lately and have to change pages numbers or move multiple pages.
Drag and drop is not user friendly on 30-50 pages documents.

I need to export pages (ie set as default ie pg3 - pg8) as .eps file. we would like to have the page name included as a suffix of the file name i.e. customer_name_2XL.eps
file name is customer name & 2XL is page name.
All editing I make on a page changes all the pages.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to load single pages from multi page tiffs, convert them to monochrome (dithered), flatten the image, then save them as single monochrome, ccitt group4 tiffs. - all through scripts.
The multipage tiffs contain pages in grayscale and color which were created using the old style (problematic) JPEG compression option.
I have tried other tools, such as libtiff (modified with a patch to handle the old jpeg compression), and the latest version of imagemajick. Unfortunately they cannot correctly convert the files, whereas gimp can, but only one page of the multi-page tiff at a time(gimp crashes if I load a 5page document (as separate images) then convert each image to monochrome,flatten and save in one session)
the scripting function for loading tiffsfile-tiff-load does not expose the options to load individual pages, or to select loading as images or as layers, which the visual file load/import does.
How I can achieve this using a script.? Manually is not a problem, but too time consuming for large (eg. 200page) tiffs.
