View 1 RepliesI understand how to make text wrap around a circle by using the path tool. But is there any way to make the text wrap around it in a sunburst shape? So that each returned line ends or begins at the path? Here's an image to describe my question.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have many drawings that were created with the xref's as full path and I need them to be relative path. I would just go in and reatch them as relative path but the drawings are complete and there are different layers frozen in each one.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll I have found so far, shows me how to hand draw a complex shape. I just need a circle. I can do this in a few minutes in CorelDRAW and Illustrator.
You must be able to do it in PhotoShop. The end result is - I want it to work like a ship porthole. All you can see is what is behind the port window.
Using PS CS6, Windows 7 x64.
I was under the impression that when hovering my mouse over the document title bar, I would see a tooltip showing the full file name, including the path. This isn't happening and I'm wondering if there is a way to do this. I know I can click File > Save As, or Ctrl+Shift-S to see the full path, but hovering over the title bar would be easier. (What I am seeing now in the tool tip is the file name, % magnification and which layer I have selected. Basically, the tool tip is just showing what's in the title bar without hovering.)
In PS CS4, my path turns into a selection using the dashed circle at the bottom of the paths palette; however, it is the inverse of the path. How do I have the default be the selection sams as the path?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create an effect of small text following the outline of very large bold block text (see picture). The idea I had was to first create the 'ME' in very large font as text. Then convert that text to an object / path using "Object -> Flatten Transparency... -> "Convert all text to outline"". Then, select that path and use the "Type along path" tool.
However, when I use that process, the resulting path is a compound path that therefore the Type Along Path tool doesn't work. Any pointers on how to achieve this? The image below I just used the pencil to trace the letters (quick and dirty) but the result is choppy, etc.
In the code below, the "oLibraryPath.Path" returns: .Library. How can I get the full path?

how do I show the full name (path and all) at the top of the Acad dwg?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOur company uses some third party software to track the number of plots being printed. In AutoCad there is an option to display the full file path of a drawing. I do not see the same setting in Revit. Only the drawing name is sent and recorded which makes it difficult to determine the correct project that should be billed for the plots (our project number is found in the file path).
Can this be enabled in Revit so the full path is sent when a user plots?
Is there a way to make sure whenever I x-ref a file it is not saved as "full path"? I prefer that be the default as I never x-ref outside of the folder I am working in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to place text to a "curvy" path. I took some screen shots to show you want I'm talking about.
I created a simple curvy path 1 point on each end. (I noticed I drew in a node in the middle of the curve as well. But that actually doesn't exist in the path. I created the text a reasonable size and clicked "Text Along Path". As you can see, it never starts at the beginning of the path. Ever. I have sized the font up, and it gets a little closer to the beginning, but obviously the end of the address flies off the path. I've sized down the text and it will start even further to the middle of the path.
I have no problem getting my text along a path but I am having trouble getting the text and the path to align so that the center of the text element is centered on the path.
Is this possible or do I have to figure out someway to make my path of a certain length so it ends up that the text fits to it perfectly??
Here is a screenshot of my current problem. You can see that the text and the image below it are centered. I then placed some guide lines to make sure my path was also centered. When I placed that text along the path though, it left justified the text when I want it to be centered instead..
When I choose Open Drawing and the window pops up, it would be nice if the full path name of the file showed up on the bar where it shows the file name (see attachment). As it is I can't tell if this file is on my c drive or my back-up drive.
The individual drawings show the full path name once they're open, can the same be achieved with the Open Drawing window?
I like to have the path display in the title bar at the top of the screen. I check the box to display it in options. It works! But the text is almost illegible in the title bar. The title bar is black, the text is black with some cloudy grey background. It is impossible to read. I can't seem to find anyplace to change it's appearance either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn Civil 3D 2012, if you enable the option of "Display full path in title" under the Options --> Open and Save --> File Open area, the active drawing name and path displayed in the Tittlebar is not correct?
I've noticed this when the drawing window is maximized, didn't check when restored. Win7 (x64), EVGA 790i, 8GB RAM, EVGA 8800GT, 250 GB iSSHDD, & RAID 0/1
A co-worker asked how to display the full drawing path in the window header. He said that it used to, now doesn't. I have never seen the full path of the drawing in the header before. Mine just says "AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 (Drawing File Name) [Project Folder]"
I checked in Options, but didn't see anything.
My after effects is not showing the full bezier curve. The star is supposed to bounce from upper left to upper right. The curve is cropped. How to adjust this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny variables that would cause my XREF paths to change from Full Path to Relative Path when I save a drawing?
This is something that just started happening recently and has me completely at a loss. I haven't installed any patches or hot fixes recently and nothing else has changed that I'm aware of.
I have updated my RFA library to RY2013 (from RY2011, RY2008 before).
Inside Revit (full, Bulilding Design Suite), the preview pane of the "edit type" window shows for the updated component families the sun path circle centered in a position which is far from the insertion point of the component, always got as intersection of 3 strong reference planes with "define origin" checked. Because of this, the preview of the component is not immediately available and several zoom in operations are needed to give a look to the component. This is the case for 3D views and plan views.
The sun path cannot be turned off and also the origin of the sun path cannot be moved inside the family file.
Any solution for the single component family?
Is there a way to batch turn off the sun path circle in every view of each family of the library and also to move the origin of the sun path circle to the insertion point of the family?
How can I distribute multiple objects without distorting them on a circle path?
I have a few objects that I want to distribute to a circle line. I've tried scatter brush (looked horrible) , pattern brush (what you see here). No matter what I do, those objects are distorted.
Clients may want objects to be as many as 30 or 40, so I hope to avoid switching the objects manually.
I'm trying to extrude a circle around a path in all dimensions, so I drew my path in lines, filleted the corners then tried to join using the PEDIT - Join command.
Firstly, the join says something like "2 segments added to 2 polylines" when really all I want is 1 polyline.
Second, when I try to insert my circle for extrusion I OSNAP to the end of the line, then when I specify the radius it draws in the wrong plane. So far the only way I have gotten around it is rotating the ucs. Is there an easy way to do this? my Dynamic UCS is on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've tried every permutation of copy and paste; I renamed the path to path. It looks like a path when I add stroke, but it does not behave like one. I can't cut it or join it to any other path. It remembers it's text path status. I'm running OS X 10.7.5.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI accidentally converted a path to a text path. I searched the forum for how to convert it back to a regular path. The answer I found said to select the path and hit Command+C+F. This gives me another text path! I now have at least 6 copies of the path in my files but they are ALL text paths and none are visible with a stroke.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy the "Text along path" feature hovers the text so far above the currently active path? (in my case, the space between the path and the text is about 3 times the height of the currently used font!). I've been told that the letters should lie on top of or at least closer to the path instead. How can I move the text closer to the path?
