View 2 Replieshow the area shaded has a smooth look to the outline... like drawing something on Flash, how it smooths out the wrinkles and stuff.
Is there a way to do this with photoshop? They done that graphic with Powerpoint I believe.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to create a curve with the path tool and it seems like if I have a deep curve the curve becomes smooth but if I have a shallow curve (which is what I want), the curve is jagged and not very smooth - see attached thumbnail.
I've tried to convert the path to a selection then sharpen the selection and also add a feather to the selection to try and smooth it out but I have not been successful. How can I get this shallow curve I want but also get the curve nice and smooth?

When I apply a Uv map into my model it fits very well. But when I apply Smooth, it gets very distorted. How can I resolve this.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI need to "improve" an image, its a logo and its a very simple design, the problem is that the original file was lost and now i only have a smaller version, but it only looks good if i use it on small size, but now i want it bigger,so i want to remove those jagged edges, i want a smooth and pixel-free curved lines.
The tool i want to use is Adobe Photoshop CS2 (9.0)
When I export a intervenor file to jpeg or pdf, the edges are not smooth at all under the link, the jep file has the edges that are jagged up and not smooth. Are there settings to make the edges smoother or smooth when you export them to jpeg or anything.

Im having issues using the mirror function in the "move tool".I select mirror geometry with these options : -x, merge with original, and merge vertices.
This copies my model and allows me to adjust both sides of the model by selecting a single vertex on either side.
"Is there a way I can set Maya to also mirror my cut poly and smoother operations?" As it stands now, Only the vertex's that existed when i mirror geometry are visable on both halves.
Also my center vertices are not attached to each other. So when i try to apply smoothing to the entire model it smooths right through the center of the head, basically creating two halves. Both halves are registering as the same poly.
I'm rendering at 1920x1080HD 25fps. Used the expression found on numerous threads including this one to generate whole number pixel shifts per frame.

I generated the text and images in InDesign and exported as a PDF. Imported PDF into AE. Have tried a few whole number values for s including 4 and still getting judder.
Generated to H264 and Apple Pro Res codecs doesn't seem to make much difference to judder.Here is my AE project with PDF. Here is output as H264 (40MB).
Also included a Quartz Composer file .where I created the same whole number pixel movement as AE but rendering it out in Quartz Crystal I get different judder but no better. Quartz Composer previews in real time and Quartz Crystal renders same project that took some 16min+ in AE in about 30 seconds. But no smoother output — even when applying AA and Motion Blur at render time.
Any video encoder where I can down-sample say a 75 fps render to 25 fps with frame blending? Does Apple's Compressor do frame blending? What about some other app that I can get this out smoothly from. I have FCP installed but have never done a title in it either.
Since my Dell only has 60Hz at full native res (2560x1440) I set it to 1080p and selected 50Hz to see if that effected anything but it makes absolutely no difference to playback smoothness.

way to make a CAD drafted plan look like it was drawn by hand? Or is there a way to use a photoshop brush to draw a line that looks like the pressure was varied along the length of the line, giving it some artistic character?

How do i get rid of jagged lines?
Circles and diagonal lines look rubbish when i am in hidden view which i use for simple 3d black / white (i think this is the best way?).
I have tried:
- viewres (1000, 5000, 10000, 20000 sightly better)

View 9 Replies View Relatedi am doing a simple project making a survey plot for a piece of land that will be broken into subdivision. all measurements are of my starting point. after plotting the starting point i try to draw line that is 113 feet long and at a bearing of N 5d W i have no problem entering this data but when i hit enter it draws a straight line. now i know 5 degrees is much of an angle so i thought maybe it just looked straight and tried to plot the next point which was 542 feet from the last point at a bearing of N 39d E but once again after i put the info in and hit enter or space it would plot a line of the proper length but vertical, not the proper angle i need it at. here is how i would put in the info:
first i choose the lne command and choose my "beginning point" as that starting point for my line then i type 113<N 5d W for the length and direction and hit enter. when i do this it plots a vertical line of the proper length but wrong angle. what am i doing wrong? i have ortho set to off and idk what else to mess with

Is there any option with wipeout to turn the continuous lines into dotted lines instead of hiding the object? I have selected several lines (not pl or spl), just lines, all of which are the same layer and such. I want to be able to select all thirty or forty of the lines using either the select similar (lisp, AC2010) or quick select and return a total length of all of the selected lines. In the properties box it shows as varies.

For example, if I have a part that can change lengths and I need to print off a new drawing, it would be good if I could say that the lines were a set distance from each end of the part or some features of the part.
Then I could update the part length, then just open the part drawing and not have to adjust anything.
This isnt so much of a problem as an annoyance. When I try to make poly lines from connected single lines my procedure is as follows...
pedit, right click, multiple, select lines/objects, enter, yes, join x 3, esc
My annoyance is if i hit join once it will not make the lines into polylines, if i hit join 3 times or so and then esc it will.
It just doesnt seem that is right and I think i might be missing something. I have been doing pedit this way for a long time adn its probably finally time to figure this one out.
