Feb 29, 2012Five Macs , five or six different Epsons, every OS from 8 to Lion except the Leopards, and Preview prints are banded. Printing from any of a dozen imaging apps is fine.

Photoshop :: Printing Only From Adobe Preview In CS6
Apr 23, 2013Whenever I print from Photoshop CS6 it launches Adobe Preview where the image appears and I can only print from Preview. If I print 'Print One Copy' it does the same thing. I reinstalled printer drivers for my Canon iP4950, looked through preferences in both Photoshop and Preview, and checked the System Preferences, still couldn't see anything obvious. All image files have preferences set to be opened in Photoshop. How to reset this so I can print directly from CS6 Photoshop?

Mar 9, 2012I am new to Corel PaintShop Pro X4, and am attempting to enter text into a template I found online. I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. May 2, 2011The lines apear with different width, but they have the same properties (layers, pen , thickness etc...). AND THERE s NO supperposed lines. The only thing different is one have vertex z, and the other only x and y.
Have tried following solutions:
match properties,
flatten image (all z with 0),
repair archive with audit, regen
copies past theses line in a new archive,
print with different printers...
nothing change.
Something more strange there, when i draw line they are with x and y vertex. When i draw circle it have also z vertex, wich made another apprarence... .
Photoshop :: Oil Paint Feature - Preview / No Preview Capability?
Sep 3, 2012A feature notably absent from the Oil Paint filter is any way to temporarily disable the effect (e.g., not preview it).I happen to like using Oil Paint to make refllections in the surface of water smoother and more "liquid" (which involves turning off the "Shine"), and it would really be nice if I could easily gauge the amount of the effect easily by blinking back and forth between original and processed image with a quick "disable preview" functionality.

With most standard filters, one can either uncheck a [ ] Preview box, and/or click the mouse button down on the image to temporarily show what the image is like without the effect.Yes, I know I can turn the Stylization down to 0.1 and see how a very minimal amount of the effect can be applied. And I can look at the original image in Photoshop proper, but of course that can't be zoomed while the Oil Paint filter is active.

Also, the zooming / panning seems kind of stiffly implemented.In summary, the more or less standard and expected filter features I'd like to see added to this (new class of) GPU-accelerated filters are:Preview/No Preview capability. It doesn't have to update Photoshop, just the preview display in the filter itself. I suggest a [ ] Preview checkbox and/or an on-mouse-click temporary effect disable.Â
Modal click and drag Zooming vs. Panning - i.e., based on a Zoom or Pan function selected (e.g., via an icon along the left) vs. having to hold modifier keys down. I personally would want it set to Zoom by default, not Pan. Since the filter has scroll bars (a Good Thing), I would have thought Zoom would have been a better default as it is. I have implemented these things in my own GPU-accelerated plug-ins, so I know that all the infrastructure Adobe needs to support them is already in there. These changes are controls only and should be trivial to implement.
Lightroom :: Library Preview Displays At Lower Resolution Than Develop Preview
Jun 2, 2013I recently bought a Nikon D7100. I took some test shots and imported the images to Lightroom 4.4, then generated 1:1 previews for all the images.

Previews zoomed to 1:1 in Library Mode are noticeably soft. The image below is a screen shot of the Library preview:
Moving to Develop View produces a higher-resolution 1:1 preview. The image below is a screen shot of the Develop preview:
Look at the bricks and window screens to see the difference.

This difference occurs immediately after import (with a User Preset applied during import). Once any Develop work is done, the Library preview updates and displays at full resolution.

This problem makes doing initial editing/selection of images time consuming, because I can't determine the sharpness/quality of imported images until I've done some kind of Develop adjustment on each image.
After Effects :: Preview Is Just A Black Screen Throughout Entire Preview / Titles Never Show Up

Mar 29, 2014I am using MacBook (late 2008) OS X 10.9.2 and recently upgraded to Lightroom 5.3 from Lightroom 4. After a while, some photo started to show exclamation mark at the right hand corner of the photo (*.CR2 raw files in NAS) in grid view. When I click on the exclamation mark, it shows a dialog with following message; "Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo". So, I moved previews.lrdata, which is about 9GB, to the trash and restarted the Lightroom 5, expecting Lightroom 5 to create a new previews.lrdata. However, it won't create any preview at all.

Photoshop :: Tile Printing With High Resolution Printing?
Oct 2, 2006i have an image that is 28' wide by 60' high. i have to tile print it, but i have to print it out on film (see thru acetate). it has to be able to print at 1400 dpi. i know how to print at 1400 dpi on adobe photoshop, but i dont know how to tile print on that program. i have the image now in illusrtator, because it lets me tile, but i cant get it to print out for film (1400 dpi). im using a epson 1280 printer.
i really need to be able to tile print this in high resolution on film. anyone know what i can do??
Lightroom :: Can't Jump Back From Publish Service Folder Preview To Different Folder Preview In Grid Mode
Oct 7, 2013Just downloaded LR 5 and noticed that I cannot jump back from a Publish Service folder preview to a different folder preview in grid mode. The only way to view photos in another folder is to restart LR 5. This only happens when I am viewing photos in a Publish Service such as Flickr.

Lightroom :: Convert Colour Profile Of Custom Printing Package From Pro Photo To SRGB Before Printing
Oct 30, 2012How do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.

Jun 4, 2004i recently upgraded to photoshop cs from 7. immediately i realized that when you look for a psd with windows explorer it no longer shows you a preview of the file, or what it looks like. is there any way around this, or is there a setting i can change to enable this? i know that you can use the file browser in cs, but i find it to be a lot slower and more tedious to find a psd that way. this can be really annoying when you are trying to find a file among a hundred or so psd's in a folder.

I seem to only be able to view the images with a preview on my DVD player - so If I burn a disk, I have to create previews beforehand.

Jul 27, 2009When my instructor shows the brush preview mode, his brush looks like the selected brush, which means that if there's a lot of feathering on it, he can see that. In the same mode and with the same cursor settings in the preferences, I only get a circle indicating the size of the brush. There's nothing to see about the relative hardness of it.
