I can scan and preview an b/w negative but it will not show up on the work screen after being scaned. I can scan a b/w neg and then reverse it to a positive for printing !!!!!!

Example: I have a filled square in the middle of a transparent image. I use the plugin, and the square is now transparent, where as the originally transparent space is now filled.

Of course, I need this to do more complex shapes. Also notice the blur is accounted for.

Then in Photoshop CS3 I was looking for the filter to convert the negative film file into a positive file so I can work on it with Adobe and then print in on my Canon printer.. I have tried to sample the orange base color and take that out and then invert and then increased the contrast curve.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a column graph with a large amount of data. I would like to apply two different colors to the positive and negative columns. Whenever I click on a column and go to object>graph> the column section is unavailable. I checked to see if the graph had become ungrouped, even though I never selected it. If I select the graph as a whole it does not say ungrouped. When I select a column the ungroup tab is greyed out. Does that mean my columns are ungrouped?

One of my most common examples: Layers in a specific XRef with names that do not contain specific string.
I tried XRefName|*[~anno]* and it gave me ALL the layers from the XRef (including the ones with anno in the name).
I also tried XRefName|*~anno* and it didn't list ANY layers.
It it possible to do this? I've read throught the docs on using wildcards in the filter properties but don't see anything.
I have some old black and white negatives I would like to caonvert to make prints. How to do this in Elements_7?

I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. View 1 Replies View RelatedCorel X4, still installed on my PC, has no problem at all.But Corel X6 (CorelDRAW as well as CorelPHOTOPAINT) crashes after the preview scan with Epson Scan (EPSON Perfection V330 Photo) in professional mode. When I use the simple mode (which does all automatically: preview scan, border recognition, best guess about resolution and color mode and the final scan) there also is no problem.
But I wonder what the TWAIN driver does with Corel X6 after having finished the preview scan ..I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the (latest) driver suite from EPSON without success.
I'm printing booklets for our inhouse marketing and to do so (because of the printer I'm using), I have to send the document in reverse order (last page to first page).
I have to print from a PDF and this changes to colours... I don't see anything in Corel I can check so it's done automatically.
A feature notably absent from the Oil Paint filter is any way to temporarily disable the effect (e.g., not preview it).I happen to like using Oil Paint to make refllections in the surface of water smoother and more "liquid" (which involves turning off the "Shine"), and it would really be nice if I could easily gauge the amount of the effect easily by blinking back and forth between original and processed image with a quick "disable preview" functionality.
With most standard filters, one can either uncheck a [ ] Preview box, and/or click the mouse button down on the image to temporarily show what the image is like without the effect.Yes, I know I can turn the Stylization down to 0.1 and see how a very minimal amount of the effect can be applied. And I can look at the original image in Photoshop proper, but of course that can't be zoomed while the Oil Paint filter is active.
Also, the zooming / panning seems kind of stiffly implemented.In summary, the more or less standard and expected filter features I'd like to see added to this (new class of) GPU-accelerated filters are:Preview/No Preview capability. It doesn't have to update Photoshop, just the preview display in the filter itself. I suggest a [ ] Preview checkbox and/or an on-mouse-click temporary effect disable.
Modal click and drag Zooming vs. Panning - i.e., based on a Zoom or Pan function selected (e.g., via an icon along the left) vs. having to hold modifier keys down. I personally would want it set to Zoom by default, not Pan. Since the filter has scroll bars (a Good Thing), I would have thought Zoom would have been a better default as it is. I have implemented these things in my own GPU-accelerated plug-ins, so I know that all the infrastructure Adobe needs to support them is already in there. These changes are controls only and should be trivial to implement.

What I would like to do is add additional text at the bottom of the circle but concave instead of convex. I hope that makes sense. I want to have the text at the bottom wrap around the circle but like a smile so the text isn't upside down.
I'd like to make a texture thats got a 3d qualities (different surface depths) to appear in reverse. like an image of soap suds on a window seen from the other side: the concave bubbles would appear convex. are there any plugins for this sort of thing on Paintnet?

Could it be possible to add the "Get image from scanner or Camera" to the menu bar ? It would reduce clicking a great time for me (and surely many other people too).
Some scanners require that you install special software or drivers so that they can be accessed by programs that use WIA to scan with them. Paint.NET uses WIA, and not TWAIN, to acquire images from scanners and cameras.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to scan a picture using a LEXMARK Platinum Pro905 all-in-one printer with PSP X3 (v. 13.2.1.20). Lexmarx drivers are the latest available.
Please note I'm using a French version of PSP so I'll try to translate the titles, menus and messages in English. I'm going in File > Import > From a scanner or a camera (3rd option)
A pop-up windows is opening with settings for scanning. I'm able to modify every option if I want to. If I click on "Preview" (with a document in the scanner), I'm getting a preview of the document. Using the preview, I can select the area of the document I want to scan. So far so good.
When I click on the "Scan" button, the pop-up with the scan setting is disappearing (which is probably normal) but a pop-up error message is displayed right away :
The French says "Une erreur s'est produite lors de la lecture du fichier".
In English, it would probably translate by "An error occurred while reading the file". The only choice I have is to click "Ok".
I also tried with another scanner (HP Scanjet Q4010) with same result. Both (Lexmark + HP) are using an USB connection. In the past (few months ago), I was able to scan a document using this method with my HP scanner and PSP X2.
In the older versions adjusting the settings to negative numbers was as easy as highliting the text, clicking on the lead button and entering -0.075 Now, I can't adjust to negative line spacing.
