Photoshop :: Convert A Film Negative To A Positive...
Feb 27, 2009
I am photographing 2 1/4 negatives with a CANON 50D and macro lens. Then in Photoshop CS3 I was looking for the filter to convert the negative film file into a positive file so I can work on it with Adobe and then print in on my Canon printer.. I have tried to sample the orange base color and take that out and then invert and then increased the contrast curve.
I have just scanned a color negative into photoshop and lo and behold it comes up on screen as a color negative. How do i now convert it to a positive so that I can work with it.?
I have photographed some colour negatives in RAW. Any outline of a process as to how to convert these to positives using Lightroom v5. I have tried and failed!
I have created a column graph with a large amount of data. I would like to apply two different colors to the positive and negative columns. Whenever I click on a column and go to object>graph> the column section is unavailable. I checked to see if the graph had become ungrouped, even though I never selected it. If I select the graph as a whole it does not say ungrouped. When I select a column the ungroup tab is greyed out. Does that mean my columns are ungrouped?
I need a plugin that can invert positive and negative space with transparency.
Example: I have a filled square in the middle of a transparent image. I use the plugin, and the square is now transparent, where as the originally transparent space is now filled.
Visual example:
Of course, I need this to do more complex shapes. Also notice the blur is accounted for.
I can scan and preview an b/w negative but it will not show up on the work screen after being scaned. I can scan a b/w neg and then reverse it to a positive for printing !!!!!!
I want to image trace this photo to create logo. However the way the logo will be applied means that there can be no negative space less than .35mm or 1pt or the heat transfer will have them blend together.
How can I image trace while maintain all spaces (both positive and negative) are atleast 1pt sq?
I opened up my project and all the footage has seemed to change to look like a "film negative". Colors are reversed, etc... Clips on the timeline and clips in the project folder. How can I correct this..
I am setting up a table to automatically calculate plumbing fixtures based on occupancy count. The problem I have is creating a formula for plumbing fixtures for B occupancy where toilets are required at 1 per 25 for the first 50 occupants and thereafter 1 per 50 occupants. (International Building Code)
A simple formula for 1 at 25 would be "value/25" whereby the value would be a cell content (occupancy number).
Taking this further with a formula like "(value-50)/50+(value/25)" works fine as long as the value (occupancy) is greater than 50.
If the value is less than 50 the first part of the formula (value-50)/50 creates a negative result.
Is there a way to convert a negative result of the first part of the formula to a 0 (zero)

I know this is possible in Excel with the "max" function
I want to produce three positive transparency (C M Y) "films" that I can lay on top of each other over a white light for demonstration purposes (to simulate the behaviour of a slide film). Obviously each film has to be printed in its own colour (Y, M, C).
Photoshop CS6. Win 7 32 bit. Sophos Anti virus is reporting that WIASupport.8LI contains malware Troj/Zbot-DHN and quarantines it. This has just started to happen today.
I've not seen it mentioned anywhere so I must ask. When in 3D modelling, is it possible to set AutoCAD to constrain drawing and movement in only the positive Z axis? I'd like to draw obviously in the XY plane but also only in positive Z (above ground?). I don't think i'll ever need to draw anything in the negative Z plane, which by my understanding would be actually underground (correct??). If it is at all possible to constrain in the positive Z plane, would there be a way to temporarily over ride this for the times I may need to Press Pull a hole out of a solid?
I have this strange knack of drawing in Top view in a left viewport (model space) then extruding in the right SW viewport then sometimes when I try ti move objects the end up underground (negative Z plane).
I am having a problem when attempting to measure the volume of a solid in Autocad Civil 3d 2013. It returns an error: "One or more diagonal terms are not positive." I have run a check from solidedit and it returns as a valid solid.
I have a macro to create DXF files for all sheet metal parts in an assembly. What I now want to add is 2 functions :-
Move the DXF output to be in the 1st (positive) quadrant so that the left most entity is touches with the Y axis and the bottom most entity touches with the X axis,Add iProperties like Part Number, Material, Thickness and Qty as text to the DXF file. Any takers?

I want to create a positive form of the inside of a differential housing.
My idea was to put two planes on the edges of the housing. Then using the Sculpt Tool to create a New Solid of the inside of the housing.
With the Derive Tool i could seperate the two Solid Forms from each other.BUT... When I want to create a New Solid with the Sculpt Tool I get the error ' Create Sculpt feature failed'.
I've tried to Derive the part to a Sureface model, but that didn't work.
I wish to limit the user input of and edittext to only allow a positive number, float or int. I do not yet know my Regex good enough to do this. I realize that I must get better at regex but in the meantime how to do this ?
I have used this so far on the edittext:
function checkTextInput() { if (this.text.match(/[^0-9.]/g)) { this.text = this.text.replace(/[^0-9.]/g, ""); } }
Which matches 000.0001 0.45.000.1 ...1 which is not desired.
