I was playing around with my settings and did something that is keeping me from printing. When I go to print preview, the page is blank. I have tried opening up jobs that I successfully printed before and they also show and print blank. Everything looks normal in the work area. I just can't print.
View 14 RepliesExcuse my awkwardness but I'm self taught on AutoCAD & have managed fine for last few months but have encountered an issue this evening I can't resolve. I've produced drawings, basic they may be, but when preview them the actual drawing area is barely noticable & when export to pdf it practically prints a blank page. I have very simple items in drawing, stockpiles, excavations test locations, and have been producing pdf's fine, even as recently as this morning using the same cadfile. But what ever I've managed to do since then has changed something and I can't resolve the issue.

I go to plot (either to paper or pdf doesn't matter) in the plot setting I check "Plot Transparency" print preview shows everything fine. When I print I get a blank page.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt crashes without warning, it just closed... that's all.It happens whenever I try to:- Save (either clicking on the save button or using CTRL+S)- Group (with CTRL+G or by clicking on the Group button after right click), I've tried to remove the "Pattern" and I can group finally, but still closed when I try to save.I try to remove any fillings but still closes when saving (but it didn't got saved at all)I've browsed through the forums and tried everything... nothing works. Even un-install and re-install didn't work.
It even closes when I try to save a blank page (with only an object like rectangle or something on it)

If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)
Is there a way to merge with a fluid result ?
Ie row one takes up 2 lines Row 2 takes up 5 lines Row 3 takes up 1 line etc

i have been working on this project in corel draw12 for several weeks now, as it is or/was coming to its final stages a few days ago it now only opens a blank page, it is 2.14 gb and it will get bigger as it reaches its final stages.i can still see it in preview. when it was opening it took a very long time to open i realise the reason for this is the size im using very high resolution images and designing and editing, or maybe there is another program that you may recommend that will support the size so i can complete my work.
i found a backup copy but it will not import the size is 1.70 gb seems its still too large to open ,
i don't think it has anything to do with memory , i have a full drive laptop is new. my thoughts are that corel draw will not open a file that size, and you are right about breaking it up i should have worked in several sheets but saved them desperately.
When I try to plot my drawing, my drawing only takes up 2/3 of the page on print preview. The top half of the page is blank. How can I make my drawing take up the whole available page?

If I enable the welcome screen it asks me what I want to open but if I disable it all I get is a grey area and I have to go to the drop down file menu ans select 'new page'.
The lines apear with different width, but they have the same properties (layers, pen , thickness etc...). AND THERE s NO supperposed lines. The only thing different is one have vertex z, and the other only x and y.
Have tried following solutions:
match properties,
flatten image (all z with 0),
repair archive with audit, regen
copies past theses line in a new archive,
print with different printers...
nothing change.
Something more strange there, when i draw line they are with x and y vertex. When i draw circle it have also z vertex, wich made another apprarence... .
I'm unable to get a print preview displayed prior to printing using PSE11 and a Epson Artisan 730 printer. I've ticked the print preview box but the print preview fails to appear and the printer prints the image straight away!

If I set the quantity to 5, I still get just 1 page. HP won't be updating the driver as they say that the printer is obsolete although they are still selling it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to CorelDRAW X5 from X4. I'm having problems printing a landscape page to an Epson Stylus Pro 7880. This is a paper roll feeder. No matter what combination of settings I try it will only print portrait orientation. I had zero problems with X4. I have read as many of the previous forum posts I could find on this issue, so I'll add - I don't have a PPD file and the manufacturer does not either.

Then in print preview i have chosen to print the business cards in the center of the page. But the cards are on the bottom left corner and what ever i do it will not change.
maybe i have to change the margins in page setup-customize label? But don't know the inches.

CorelDraw X6 disappears for a second or so to display print preview - showing all background windows.
When I attempt to view text with no fill and a hairline outline in the print preview nothing shows. Is their anyway around this?

I get the specific Page numbers to be printed instead of current document or selection for e.g. If there are three pages in the document and I press Print it takes the page no. 5-6 by default even though I have only three pages in the document & I do not see anything in the preview pane
so I have to manually select the current document or the selection option to print

I created an image 3.004" x 2.0"
I go to print, select my plotter, select print range "selection", go to preferences>advanced, set my paper size to PostScript Custom Page Size, make my paper 3.05x2.05 for a little extra boarder. Back in Print I set my Layout to Preposition to Center of Page which un-greys the position options and now it tells me my image size is 5.1"x2.0 and the Print Preview is showing the center of the image beginning at the left edge of the page...
Mind you, this is the same style of setup I've done numerous times per day for the past 5 years with x6 and x4...magically today it does not center my select graphic to the center of the page. If I put the graphic in the middle of the workpage and tell it to position as in document, it is not an issue, but if the graphic is else where on the workpage, it refuses to center..
We are having issues with Corel X6: when we try print preview, the print preview window opens, but after we click print, it just crashes and that's it.
Both corel and Windows are updated, and the machine is clean.
I'm currently working on an XP 32 bit system with AMD Athlon 64 3200+
CorelDraw is displaying a print preview but is otherwise completely idle. It has finished displaying the preview, so it is just waiting for user action but has nothing else to do.
Photopaint in another window was running extruciatingly slow so I checked task manager. CorelDraw.exe was showing to be using 98% of the CPU.
On further investigation, this happens only when the print preview is on the screen. I close the print preview, return to CorelDraw design screen and CPU is 0% when idle. I do another print preview -- 98% CPU again.
I'll try it later on a quad core system, but it seems that print preview should not be hogging the CPU when idle waiting for operator action.
I have a rather large job, a book with 370 pages. when we want to reprint w/o any changes i would like to turn off the print preview to eliminate the delay.

I've been searching for this for over a week & finally thought I'd better go to the experts!
I have a 2 page document that has CMYK on one side and 100% Gayscale (with 2 Grayscaled bitmaps) on the other side. My problem is that when I go to print preview it shows the Grayscale as CMYK Separations. My printer is counting it as color instead of grayscale so we are being charged much more than the grayscale would be. I haven't changed anything in my color profile and actually deleted my ColorSettings.xml and rebooted Corel Draw to reset the color profile default. Still no change.
What I am used to (& what I need) is for the print preview to show my page 1 as CMYK separations and my page 2 as black like it used to. I do a lot of ads and need to be able to determine if there is any color in my document when there shouldn't be.
Problem number 2 is that around my grayscaled bitmaps when my document is printed there are thin black lines showing up where the edge of the photo is. None of which shows up in print preview.
I am using Corel Draw X5, Windows 7 - 64 Bit
Previously I could choose a large paper size on my printer select fit to page and the document would scale up to printer out on paper large than than the design page. When I try this with X6 the image disappears. Is this a known bug?
