View 4 RepliesUse merge for standard things like labels.Have a large ongoing project which requires
Lots of Excel data - eg: 6685.excel example.tifcolumns x AZrows x 300 upwards
All rows required to create a book of running information.
If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)
Is there a way to merge with a fluid result ?
Ie row one takes up 2 lines Row 2 takes up 5 lines Row 3 takes up 1 line etc

In MS Publisher, if you move objects off of the page they are in the scratch area. The scratch area enables you to have several objects readily available to you as you layout the page.To hide the scratch area objects and see a clean view of your page, uncheck the Scratch Area option. Objects that are partially on the page will appear clipped so that the portion in the Scratch Area is not shown. How can I do that in Coreldraw?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering why, all of a sudden, the pasteboard area around the page is tied directly to the page. Example: If I draw full-scale out in the pasteboard area on page #1, then go to page # 2 or whatever, everything in the pasteboard area disappears. In a multi-page document this is really a problem as I have to click on every page to find out where my full scale drawing is. It wasn't always like this. What ever was out in the pasteboard area was always visible no matter what page I'm on. This is something new and it's very inconvienient. How do I reset so the pasteboard is unaffected by which page I'm on?

View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery time I wish to print a docu and I press the print command
I get the specific Page numbers to be printed instead of current document or selection for e.g. If there are three pages in the document and I press Print it takes the page no. 5-6 by default even though I have only three pages in the document & I do not see anything in the preview pane
so I have to manually select the current document or the selection option to print
Haven't had this issue until today (after I installed the recent patches)
I created an image 3.004" x 2.0"
I go to print, select my plotter, select print range "selection", go to preferences>advanced, set my paper size to PostScript Custom Page Size, make my paper 3.05x2.05 for a little extra boarder. Back in Print I set my Layout to Preposition to Center of Page which un-greys the position options and now it tells me my image size is 5.1"x2.0 and the Print Preview is showing the center of the image beginning at the left edge of the page...
Mind you, this is the same style of setup I've done numerous times per day for the past 5 years with x6 and x4...magically today it does not center my select graphic to the center of the page. If I put the graphic in the middle of the workpage and tell it to position as in document, it is not an issue, but if the graphic is else where on the workpage, it refuses to center..
Previously I could choose a large paper size on my printer select fit to page and the document would scale up to printer out on paper large than than the design page. When I try this with X6 the image disappears. Is this a known bug?

I was playing around with my settings and did something that is keeping me from printing. When I go to print preview, the page is blank. I have tried opening up jobs that I successfully printed before and they also show and print blank. Everything looks normal in the work area. I just can't print.
View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I select a layer inside the document area?
I would have thought that if I click on an object (in the document area) it should select the layer. But this does not happen. In order to select an layer, I have to select it from the Layers palette.
So is there any way I can select an layer inside the document area?
I do a lot of CNC milling of molds for foundries. Lately I get a lot of models that need cores and they are made without regard to the inside dimensions. Usually I explode them and break them down as far as I can then delete all but the inside surface then reloft the geometry as a solid. More and more models are coming with very intricate cores.
Any easier method of creating the solid core. Attached is a simple model of a simple part. How would the inside hollow area be created as a solid?
I have a skull on layer skull and bones on layer bones which is set to display under layer skull. I want to add a layer mask and paintbrush out the bones that are inside the skull area.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
I am using CDR X5 SP1.
If it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?
How would I go about this. if a two blocks or polygons are overlapping area?
A good method or the algebraic formula for a function to tell me if a point is inside a polygon or block's area?

Is there any way to default the "Area to Save" option on the export menu, to "Page"? This is nothing crucial, but it would save me some time, because I select that hundreds of times. If I could pre-define "Page", I would be even more happy

Why the dashed line (view area) changes on a page layout between plotting to pdf and plotting dwg to pdf? I have a title block that measures 16.25 x 10.25 that will print fine to pdf (for 17x 11). This same block will not print completely when using dwg to pdf.
In creating the page layout for pdf (only)the offset is .125 x .125. Once created, if I use this layout and then choose dwg to pdf as my plotter I do not have the ability to "fit to paper"
In creating the page layout for dwg to pdf the offset is .228 x .70. When bringing in the title block at 0,0 there is no way for this block to fit inside the dashed viewing line. The amount that this block extends beyond the top dashed line is way beyond what is available at the bottom.
When trying to scale the print size, after clicking inside the scale box, the sizes just keep increasing, even though I never got a chance to enter anything. It just keep getting bigger and bigger. How do I turn this "feature" off?

If the web site was created in 72 dpi RGB resolution, I'm assuming it wouldnt print well because its not a high resolution CMYK image, am I correct?
Ive already created a CD portfolio, but is there a way to print (hard copy) a nice crisp clean image of a web page to show a client/ employer.
Say I make a new A4 page in Photoshop or Illustrator then fill it all in red, I would expect the whole page, when printed, to be red. Ive tried so many ways to fill the whole page but I have no idea how to.
