I still have to go thought all the tools if I hit the b key and the Brush was already selected. Thought the preference of the shift key would work, but know. What preference or cache do I reset or am I missing something.

get my pen (Wacom Intuos 2) to work properly with dodge tool like the mouse?It is the dodge effect was made by mouse..It is by the pen (same brush size)
The brush becomes too small and has a hardness effect, not smooth at all. If I size up the brush real large it's still not right (like in lower corner) and it's hard to control because I hardly see the brush movement. Pressing the pen tip on the tablet pen/mouse mode didn't.
I have PS CS2 & CS3, at first, when I used the pen tool in CS2, it would't do the simulate pressure. When I got CS3, at first I was delighted to see that here the simulate pressure DID work! But after just one use, it my joy collapsed, again the simulate pressure does not work!

I can't seem to figure out why in some cases trim works and in others it simply puts the top object under the bottom one instead of trimming it from the bottom one.
Does same thing in X3 X4 and X5?
I've tried everything from making sure both were filled with solid color - all curves closed, nothing else grouped with them - nothing - sometimes I have to try a couple times doing same thing and it will work, other times not at all - even after trying a save (which sometimes works)
Both top and bottom show on layer one in properties too!
i'm using 3ds max 2014, i'd recently installed it, and i've problems with the "conform" tool in the graphite modelling tools. i select the mesh i want to draw on, but the tool doesn't fit my mesh how i want, it just move it around the viewport with no sense. Iwas working in 3ds 2012, and it never happend

I frequently used the ctrl key shortcut in illustrator on a PC to temporarily use the selection tool last used. This still works in CC, but I used to be able to toggle selection tools by keeping ctrl held down as before and then toggle selection tools (selection tool - black arrow, and direct selection tool - white arrow) by tapping the shift key. The tool description in the very bottom of the window shows "toggle selection" when I do this, but the toggle selection tool doesn't actually occur.

The problem I've now is when I drag lasso tool on an image to make selection it doesn't make a selection even it is showed in the history state that I've used lasso,or magnetic lasso.
My machine is a Mac Pro 2010,Quad-Core Intel Xeon running on Lion 10.7.5 and my bamboo driver is the latest version 5.3.2-2. Even now I've change to use freeform path I've still cannot change form path to selection.
I having trouble with my new PaintShop Pro X4. The smear tool is not working. I've gone thru all the blend modes and tried each one, to no avail.

same thing with the connect two paths. holding the command key doesn't change the behavior of the pencil tool.i'm guessing there is no way of remapping the 'smooth tool' to option again? or was it moved to another hotkey?
I removed the original file from the Preferences folder and restarted LR. When I have done this in the past LR does not give me a catalog listing and when LR opens, the panels are all in default mode. This time I see my usual catalog list, and all of the panels are as I set them. I checked the Preferences folder, and a new plist file has been created. What am I missing. I am having problems with the program, and wanted to reset the preferences in case the file was corrupted.

Is there a one key shortcut, within the Crop Tool -- that permits us to move forward from frame to frame?I wish the forward key worked for this within the crop tool!

Since ADM is not available in CS6, I am wondering how to add preference items to the preference panel. Though AddPreferencePanel is still available in preference suite, it is taking a dialog id as parameter and the doc refers to ADMDialogSuite, so I guess it is still there by mistake.
I am using Qt, and of course I can create my own preferences dialog, but is it possible to add it to the existing preferences dialog to provide seamless interface?

To work on different parts of images I understand that stacked up layers must be created for the different parts one wants to modify. However, once several different layers are created I don't understand how to switch from one layer to another in order to work on each individually. In the Windows menu I have created dockable "Layers" dialogs and I can see the different layers I've created, but by clicking on one or the other doesn't "get me into" that layer to work on it (to paint, erase etc). Without this basic concept I cant get past square one in working with GIMP.
View 8 Replies View RelatedPSE 7; When switching from text to say clone stamp, or blur tool I get only a cross hair as opposed to the 'pixel' sized circle to see the dimensions of the work that will be affected. If I log out of Elements completely and then re-enter and go to use the clone tool, the brush 'pixel' circle dimension comes up as normal and works as it should. As soon as I go to text mode and then back to clone stamp or blur tool, I just get the cross hair and no circle dimension 'cue' ! how to go from text to clone and get the circle cue dimension instead of just a cross hair without having to log out of elements each time.

Clicking on the navigation wheel allows me to orbit but using shift and mouse is so much quicker. I have just upgraded to AutoCAD 2013 perhaps that is the problem?

I tried quitting Photoshop, no good. I tried restarting computer, it worked, for a little while, then went away again. This a Photoshop issue, and how do I fix it? Or is it a Mac issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use Photoshop 7 & do a lot of cleanup of bitmap/tiff images, such a logos & symbols that need cleaning up around the edges etc. Holding the shift down while drawing with a brush in eraser, etc. mode creates a straight horizontal line & that makes cleaning a horizontal edge easy & quick.
Is there any keystroke combinations that will draw a perfectly straight vertical line?
I'm actually about to punch my computer screen. Ok so say I draw up a triangle with the pen tool
Then i hit the colour option
it changes to 1pt
So I change the weight to 0pt. How I want it, but then the NEXT time i draw up another path or whatever, and hit the colour option it goes to 1pt again!!! this is so fricking annoying i'm about to jump off a cliff ?
