How can I rotate my video which displays sideways to vertical in PSE 7?It's a waterfall, I filmed it vertically, but it displays horizontally. Full Edit doesn't work on film clips and the rotate option is greyed out.
View 1 RepliesCurrently I’m riding my Premiere Pro CC skateboard on “L” plates and already I’ve hit a tree and landed on my backside. I filmed a video of my daughter with my DSLR camera and shot my take vertically. No doubt this is a clear sign to all of you reading this that I am a beginner, I mean a trainee-wheels-nappies-spoon-fed beginner. When importing my vertical file it lies horizontal in this CC editor. Surely this must be some button to push to rotate my take back to vertical. Meanwhile I’ll fix myself up with some band-aides and thumb through the ABC book to the part about horizontal out-put devices.

View 11 Replies View RelatedIn 2013, just placed a view in an idw. Now I need it rotated 90°. In pre2012, there was a rotate Horizontal and Rotate vertical command where we could pick the edge and it would align to it.
Has that been taken out of 2013 or am I just overlooking it? Restarted Inventor and that didnt work. I did not restore the marking menu because I have some customizations that I dont want to lose.
For what its worth, Wiki help shows the "Rotate View" command in the video..... maybe I don't have the full version...IDK. Looks like I am missing several commands here, like Apply Design View.
I can place a solar panel on the surface of the roof (flush with roof surface), but cannot tilt it up. No matter what I try, an error message comes up saying "can't rotate element into this position".Have tried creating new panel, renaming it, etc. The panel seems to have a constraint of some sort that I cannot override.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a number of video files captured at 1080X720 full frame resolution at 29.97 frames/second, shown on my PC as .MOV files.
When watching the original files either on my PC or TV, movement is fluid and smooth.
When watching a finished video created via VideoStudio Pro X4 using the aforementioned files, movement is jerky, and is particularly noticeable when watching a panned scene. The effect is so bad that it makes viewing on a large screen impossible as the picture movement jerks/judders about. I have looked at the project preferences, and notice under Project Option>General tab, the only available frame sizes are the standard ones which only go up to 720X576. The radio button to select a user defined frame size is greyed out and cannot be selected to input my own frame sizes. I’m therefore unable to actually input the frame size of the source video files.
Basically how do I render a finished video without jerky movement?
I can only get horizontal or vertical 'orientation' in "Break" view.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAm trying to rotate a MPG video taken with an original aspect ratio of 16:9 in portrait mode ie long side vertical. The video loads into Videostudio fine, ie the image is sideways-on as expected and there are the black bars at top and bottom in the edit window as is usual for 16:9 videos. If I use the rotate button, this does rotate the video, but there are now black bars down the left/right sides as well as top and bottom, and the viewable image looks 4:3 (?) - it is flattened ie people look short and fat. Is there a particular project property/create video setting I need to set. I don't understand the settings - I'ver tried things like 'non-square pixel rendering' without knowing what to expect - but nothing so far seems to work.

Can I change the Elements 8 format to work in a vertical format to accommodate the larger size possible with a vertical image. It is difficult to manipulate the functions in Elements when the mouse is working in a horizontal mode and you are viewing a large image in a vertical format. If the format of the Elements 8 software can be changes to vertical, any protocol (directions) to accomplish this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a post that can only move up and down and I want to be able to drive an angled wedge sideways under it and back again, such that the post is progressively lifted by the wedge as it moves further under the post and then goes down again. How do I link this? I tried creating a path that coincides with the angle of the wedge and linking the post to that with it set to only inherit movement on the vertical, but that doesn't work. I will also need to do this with a wedge that has a wavy leading edge so that the movement of the post up and down is not linear, but follows the shape of the wave.
Perhaps another analogy would be to have a car drive over a hilly terrain, but instead of the car moving, the terrain is moving sideways under the car, which stays in the same position but moves up and down with the terrain (and the car's orientation is always horizontal (i.e. doesn't pitch its nose up and down).
Is it possible to turn an image a little bit, not rotate or invert, just turn it maybe 15 degrees? A friend of my daughter's did this for me originally and I want to duplicate it. I've attached an example.

I cannot use the pattern sideways due to different center distances between the parts. I could get this distance by using several patterns, but I rather not if there is another way.
I have made a code for suppressing the parts in element 2 if the same part is suppressed in element 1.

I made an attempt at drawing out what I'm trying to say in MSPaint. At my office we use an HP Designjet 800ps to plot our drawings, most everyone uses AutoCAD 2010-2011 and I use AutoCAD LT 2010. All of our drawings are ANSI C size (17"x22") and we use paper rolls that are 24" wide x 150' long. For some reason our plotter always prints our drawings sideways causing us (read 'me, the assistant') to have to trim the excess off of every single print. Not only is this time consuming but it is a huge waste of paper! If I can get it to rotate we will get 19 MORE plots out of every roll of paper!!!
I was wondering if there is some way to change settings somewhere so that our drawings are printed the correct way, saving me lots of time and saving our company lots of paper? Is it normal to plot this way?
While using the 3D extrude and bevel tool, specifically the isometric preset from the position drop down menu. I am noticing that when I expand the shape (in this case a perfect cube), the vertical paths are not exactly perfect, and are not truly vertical, but off slightly. Is this something that can be fixed or adjusted in the settings, or is this how the tool works?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI happened to download a rather dark black and white entry into Photoshop and noticed it was several shades lighter in Photoshop than in my browser. It loaded in Photoshop in Grayscale mode. So I tried this:
1. Open Photoshop.
2. Set the background colour to 53 Red, 53 Green, 53 Blue.
3. Select File - New, set the Width to 800 pixels; the Height to 600 pixels; leave Resolution at 72; set Color Mode to Grayscale - 8 bit; set Background Contents to Background Color; and click OK.
4. Save as a jpeg (maximum quality).
5. Open the jpeg in your browser.
When I do this the browser image (I tried both IE and Firefox) is a shade or two darker than the Photoshop image. I used the Colorzilla extension in Firefox to measure the actual color displayed and it comes out at 37 Red, 37 Green, 37 Blue.
I just downloaded and installed PS CS4 Extended, and set to use the Trial.Okay so my problem is that whenever i open a new document and start to color in it, it displays in some triangles or well spikes. You can see a Screenshot i took.So, I tried resetting the settings, but still came up with this problem.The graphic card that im using, is Ati Radeon HD 2600 - with fully updated drivers.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhy is Photoshop CC displaying images 25% smaller than my other applications? If I open a 72 ppi square pixel aspect image in Photoshop, I have to zoom to 125% for it to be the same size on screen as in my browser or any other image viewer. Photoshop reads the correct pixel sizes, but displays it smaller.
I design and build websites and have been using Photoshop for over 15 years and haven't noticed this until CC. If I save the images and build out the site, or even just drag the image into a browser and then overlay that browser window above the Photoshop window to see both images side by side, I can clearly see a 25% difference in size.
If I zoom in Photoshop to 125%, then the sizes match. So, the problem is when designing a website, everything looks smaller in photoshop. Then when I build it out, everything is way too big.
My browsers are definitely at 100% zoom and I can open the image in any other image viewer at 100% and the affect is the same. Is there a setting that can be adjusted in Photoshop to correct this?
I've been struggling with color calibration for a while now. I have two displays:
1) Samsung 226BW (22" 1680x1050) which is a pretty cheap TN panel and is very poorly calibrated by default
2) Viewsonic VP930B (19" 1280x1024) which is a nicer panel and pretty well calibrated by default
Video card = 8800GT. In XP, I always used the nView calibration tool an followed the onscreen sequence to get both screens very nicely calibrated, and they would always stay that way. In Vista, unfortunately, NVIDIA has decided to not carry over their excellent nView software. So I'm stuck leaving the Viewsonic uncalibrated (which is mostly ok), and for the Samsung I use a software from Samsung called "MagicTune" which takes me through a series of onscreen exercises (not unlike nView did) and leaves the monitor pretty well calibrated. I've tried other software like QuickGamma and simply cannot get the same results as I can get with the MagicTune, which puzzles me.
Anyway, the problem is that (1) MagicTune almost never applies the correct "MagicTune profile" at startup, so I have to apply it manually, (2) I often have to re-open MagicTune (after gaming, for example) and re-apply the correct "MagicTune profile," and (3) MagicTune only functions well when the secondary Viewsonic (unsupported by Samsung) is disabled, so I often have to go through a long complex rigamorole of disabling and re-enabling the display to get MagicTune to work.
Is there any way I can "save" the color calibration state that the Samsung is in (when properly calibrated by MagicTune) and use a different software (or just Windows) to apply it, so I can stop relying on MagicTune? I know that I can manually adjust a lot of things about my color calibration without using MagicTune, but without the MagicTune exercises on screen I cannot achieve the same end result, and the "profile" created by MagicTune can only be applied by MagicTune.
