Photoshop :: Keystroke Moving Up & Down In Snapshots

I've used History Snapshots before, even changing the current view from within InDesign, but today I opened a file that should have had two snapshots saved in it, but both snapshots were gone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not that good at typing and when I make a mistake in Photoshop CS6, suddenly find myself in a strange place from which I often don't know how to return from. I use about twenty keystroke commands, but there are so many others I don't use and which cause me problems.
Is there someplace on CS6 to turn off those commands I never use?
In previous versions, when in the file requester, with the File Type field focused, I could type the first letter of the format I wanted (ex. J for Jpeg), and it would select it. That was a nice little feature that sped up the saving process (...didn't have to open up the File Type pulldown, and scroll through the selections until I found the one I wanted).
Is that now gone in CS3 (extended), or is there some setting I can change to get that back?
Is there a keystroke to get to layers blend mode.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems like a simple enough request, but I'm just not seeing it. When I export (from Library) I want all the photos and snapshots of each to be exported. Is there a way to do this? Or, do I need to make virtual copies of each snapshot, THEN do an export?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use CTRL+A;Delete;CTRL+D key combination in order to clear the content of the active layer. When I'm doing it manually via the keyboard, the results are as expected.
But when I feed this and a sequence of keystrokes to one of my Wacom tablet keys: If the pointer is off canvas nothing happens, and if it's over the canvas, the canvas gets surrounded by a blue border, same as if I were holding down the CTRL key alone for selecting the whole layer.
Which key combination should yield the expected result via a table keystroke?
LR 4.3, Windows 7. I've started using Snapshots as a convenient way to capture in-process images. But, I can't find a couple things I'm sure HAVE to be in here somewhere...
1. The "generate virtual copies from all the snapshots of this image" button
2. The "export all the snapshots to jpgs or tiffs or whatever" button
I am testing the LT 2012 version in Windows. I want to use the pan command which used to be a easily visible button, one click. In 2012 I have to go to View>Pan to acess the button, 2 clicks, If I type P I get a popup menu with every command starting with a P, with Pan at the top, click on Pan, 2 clicks again.
So, can I move the Pan button to the Home tab to make it simpler? Can I edit something so when I type P it knows I mean Pan and don't have to make another choice?
This is really slowing down my process and work flow, it's like stutter! Used to be a seamless flow of click, click, click. Now it is click, pause, search, click, pause, search, click.
When i am taking uv snapshot, an error is seeing.
Error: Failed to open output file: E:WORKSMayaMaya WorksSwordimagesoutUV.jpg
I want to select part of an image with just one layer. Say I just flattened the image and have to move one part of. I select it with the rectangular select tool. It seems intuitive that I could then just move what I selected, but when I drag the selection, the selection itself moves without moving what is inside the selection.
If I then remember to click the move tool and try to move what's in the selection (seems to work sometimes, maybe when there's multiple layers?) the entire image moves.
The only way I can move part of the image over is if I make a selection and then cut it (ctrl X) then paste it.
How am I supposed to move part of the flattened image, is there a way I can set it to default to "When I select something, I can immediately drag that selected area around."
Is there any way to force Snapshots and Virtual Copies to read metadata from the original raw file after an update of the same?
I had to change the lens name on some Leica M9 files to correct an operator (me) error, and I did it by editing the exif data with an exif editor and then forcing LR4 to read the metadata from the file. This worked well for everithing but the snapshots and the virtual copies on which the metadata remain as originally registered, unchanged.
Out of the blue today, my OSNAP shortcuts disappeared. Whenever I'd bring up the menu, I could not hit the E key on the keyboard for Endpoint or any other shortcut keystroke. Upon more research, this applied to all menus. Turns out this is not an Autodesk issue but a Windows setting. Here's how to restore if you encounter this as well.
1. Hit the Windows + U keys to bring up the Ease of Accees Center
2. Click on "Make the keyboard easier to use
3. Check Underline keyboard shortcuts and access keys
in ACAD 2013 if I use object tracking to space an object or dimension (or anything, really), as soon as type on any key the tracking goes away. What can I do to change this? I do not have this problem in 2012.

First I will state that everything within the program, to my knowledge, works just fine. Although..
I'm having a really strange issue when I try to type a command. It's an intermittent problem that occurs very often and can be extremely frustrating.
If I try to type a command, i.e.. M followed by enter to move an object, often times the command will repeat "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" and the command entry will fail. This happens for every button I press too. Letters, numbers, and even the Enter key will be repeatedly entered into the command prompt. Often times I've already pressed enter to execute the command. During this process the whole program seems to freeze, but not for too long. So I often have to enter the command multiple times, regardless of which button is repeating itself.
The repeating of a keystroke only lasts between 1-2 seconds but as I said has a very frequent occurrence.
I'm almost positive that this has nothing to do with my keyboard, as I've never experienced this kind of problem elsewhere. This is my machine at work and I've never encountered an issue as frustrating at this. Could it be something that my machine is doing?
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.

View 11 Replies View RelatedIn the past two weeks I've noticed a weird problem with my Photoshop CS5. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit with CS5 version 12.0.4 X64.
Sometimes (not always) when I click a layer in the layer menu and try to move it with the move tool, it jumps to a different layer (not to the one I selected) and moves that one instead. Now, this is only if I move it with my mouse. If I move it with the keyboard, it works fine.
Also, if it starts doing this with a layer, it will continue to do it with that layer forevermore. Even when I close the program and re-open it again. Or if I save it as a diffeent filename. If I duplicate the layer, it will do it on both the original layer I was having trouble with and the new copy of that layer. I can also merge it down with a blank layer and it'll retain the problem in the new, merged layer.
It's annoying to have to move the affected layers with the arrow key.
I did find a mention of this problem on a mac, but the solution did not seem to apply to a PC.
I have exhausted the disk space on my MacBook Pro and need to purchase a model with more space. Can I move my CS6 to the new computer, and if so, how should I do so?
