View 9 RepliesPhotoshop CS3 won't let me paste in a screen shot anymore. I hit PrtScn, open Photoshop, create a new file (the file IS created at the size of the screen, which is a start), and hit paste and nothing happens. Edit/Paste is greyed out in the menu.
I can however, paste a screen shot into Word, and then copy and paste that into Photoshop, but Word does something to the colors in addition to creating an extra step in the process.
I am using Photoshop CS6 to prepare images for use in online Help and a print / pdf user guide for the company's newest software / Web app. What do you do to remove blank space from a screen capture? I am specifically curious if you add some type of indicator that tells the user that the actual image will be larger.
The first screen shot (left to right) is a typical screen shot that I've not edited. In the second one, I've cut the bottom button bar and moved it up to reduce the white space in the image. In the third image, I added a quick and dirty little "wave" to tell everyone that I've cut out some of the white space.
I am making a screen shot video for my website. I created 6 individual short videos that look great. When you play them individually, they look great. These are "how to use the website" short videos that do have typing on the screen. The typed words are perfectly clear as individual videos.
As soon as i merge the clips into 1 video, the typed words and the whole video gets fuzzy. I have re-shot new videos and I get the same result.
I have searched all over the internet for the last couple of weeks researching a solution. I've enlisted smart proxy and gone through just about every setting in "preferences" painstakingly slow and I still can't figure it out.
All of my information for my computer should be correct, but wasn't sure if i got the video card correct.
I have just installed PSP X3. I have 2 questions that I could not find answers to when searching the forum (though admittedly I found searching through here very confusing at times)
First the Service Packs. Do I need to install each on of these in chronological order? Or, will installing Service Pack 5 include all the prior service packs, so I only need to install that one alone?
Secondly, Screen Capture. I have clicked on Import/Screen Capture. However, Set Up and Start are grayed out and will not allow me to do it. On my old computer the prior version of PSP worked beautifully with screen captures and I never had to do any tweaking to make it work. What do I need to do in order to get Screen Capture functionality?
I'm not a pro at any of this by any stretch of the imagination. I'm a journalist and I use PSP for the pictures that are uploaded to my column. I need this screen capture capability in order to grab important pictures that I need on occasion.
Snap a screen shot of both Import and Export CAD File formats?

i'm guessing this is some sort of plug-in for photoshop or maybe illustrator? i can't imagine anybody taking the time to do this by hand... at first glance it seems like a bevel effect but i can not duplicate it without going through a long process of filters and adjustments. it seems to be some sort of gel effect...
does anybody recognize this effect?
Is there a good way to either tone down or remove the reflective glare that frequently shows up in a photo subject's eyeglasses? I have a number of otherwise nice photos, but the viewer will always see these glare spots first.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with Inventor 11 Studio. The reflection on the ground made by "XZ Reflective Gp" works in a way that when rendered, it shows a partial or cut reflection of my assembly, see attached .jpg file. I have not found yet where this "reflection depth" is regulated.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use AutoCAD to render some small parts. I am used to using Inventor Studio, but AutoCad's rendering tools have taken some getting used. to. I have everything figured out, with the exception of the ground plane for shadows and/or reflections.
I originally wanted a ground plane for a shadow to be projected on. However, I had no luck with that, so I modeled a large box under the part. Using that, I am able to get a shadow, or reflection, BUT, the edges of the box are showing in the background. The easy fix is to make the box larger, however, I need the reflective surface and background to be white so that it can be printed on paper without seeing the rendered edges.
How can I set a ground plane, or model a plane, for shadows or reflections, AND made it true white so that the edges cannot be seen?
how to achieve a polished, reflective finish on these machined parts (see attachment)? I've tried all the default materials and even some of my own but can't get the results I want. One factor I can't solve is the location for "advanced" materials in the Create Material pulldown in Materials Browser, this selection is not listed.

You'll noties that the image is flat.. Is this something I can achieve using the perspective tool? If so, do I change the perspective of all the individual images and then merge them? Or do I merge them, and then change the perspective in sections?
I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I discovered this "new" function on my camera today (just bought it recently and I'm still just playing around with it). A thingy called Multi-Shot where the camera takes 16 pictures in about 2 or 3 seconds and then makes it into a single image. Where you can see all the frames, which end up at a resolution of about 400*300 on the 7mp total resolution.
Is there any way possible to make photoshop automatically take my 16-pic multishot picture, take every single frame, crop it and save it as a separate image file? So I end up with 16 different pictures instead of one containing all the frames?
I want to make a mug shot of myself, but in black and white. and not black and white like b&w photography, but REALLY black and white, like this text.. that's as far as i've gotten w/ it. but i have no idea how to accomplish this. I got a book on photoshop "Photoshop WOW book" and so far i've learned a few things from it.. but would rather bypass some of the stuff in the book and jump right into what it is I'm wanting to do...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Video Studio Pro X2 to create a DVD on my new Windows 7 PC. I have produced the project file (95 minutes) and am now ready to burn the disk. I have used the software before on my old PC (Windows XP) with no problems. From the "Share" menu I selected Create Disk and DVD.
I am trying to amend the Project Settings in order that the project file (lasting 95 minutes) fits nicely on a 4.7Gb Disk. I have set-up a Disk Template (which should hopefully produce a file about the right size) and want to select that template for my project. The problem I am having is that when I select Create Disk, the Project Settings button is not displayed, so I cannot select the template I have set-up. The Project Settings button should sit just to the right of the Settings and Options button on the bottom left of the screen, just under the main panel (according to page 146 in the manual), but on my screen (see image attached) all I can see is the Settings and Options button, and then a half-obscurred "Next" button (which should sit on the right of the page, but on my page it is on the left, partly hidden by the Settings and Options button). There is also no "Close" or "Change Display aspect ratio" buttons visible too, which are shown in the manual, but don't appear on my screen.
This is the first time I have used VS Pro X2 on my new Windows 7 PC - it worked fine on my old XP machine and I have never had this problem before. I am now using Windows 7 (64 bit version). I have tried doing a "Repair" to Pro X2 using Control Panel, but this has made no difference...I am still getting this corrupted page without the very button I need to change template. Any way I can create a file that is about the right size to fit on a 4.7Gb blank Disk.
I am working on a very large Metal Screen that is Approx. 55'-0" H x 240'-0" W.
I need to create the actual punched screen for my Revit Model Renderings and can not use a decal as an option. Each 4'x8' panel will be punched based on a Raster image that I have created an algorithm the convert the image to a Vector Autocad file so the metal fabricator can program the puncher. Every panel is different and thus can not be created and just copied over the entire screen.
The only way I have been able to attempt creating this screen hase been to Edit the profile of a wall. this method though is insanely time comsumming and not really an option, how to select all the lines brought in from cad together and edit. I have only been able to click individual lines...
I am attaching 2 DWG files, one that is off a full size portion of the screen and one that represents one panel (approx. 4' 8').
I am also attaching a RVT file that has the DWG brought in an placed on on elevation of the "wall".
When I create a curve using spline on the screen I have noticed that often the curve between the points of the spline will become as straight lines. When I click on a point the curve appears again as normal and as I wanted. Any way to stop it from happening? Is this simply a characteristic of AutoCAD or something I am doing wrong? Does the curve appear as desired when plotted? The curves I am referring to are sections of a ships hull.
