View 5 RepliesI have a bracketed series of a landscape shot from Rocky Mountain Park that varies by about 3-4 stops. In the lightest the shaded areas of the foreground are great but everything else, especially the sky and distant mountains, are blown out. In the darkest, the highlights are just right but the shadowed areas are far too dark.
The scans are from 6x7 Velvia chromes.
I have made a pretty good print by combining parts of three of the scans by cutting, pasting, and blending them. But there is a halo in one very difficult area and that's a very tedious project.
I have tried the HDR but Photoshop says the chromes don't have enough exposure range for HDR.
how you would go about adjusting an image in photoshop so it apperars overexposed and under exposed, so I can then use them to complie a hdri map in hdrshop.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't seem to be able to use my Photoshop CS5 and Camera RAW to process my in-camera multiple exposure RAW photos. When imported, they have a reddish cast to them. This is not happening in other programs nor with regular RAW photos. Only multiple exposures made in my camera.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have multiple exposures of the same photo that I'd like to combine into one image showing the specific details of all. I've been messing around with layer modes and opacity sliders but can't quite get exactly what I want.
These are a a couple of the images I'm trying to combine:
What I'd like the final image to show is the pronounced shadow behind the railing in the first exposure and the lit up details of the hallway in the lower left corner of the second exposure, if there's a way to achieve this without having to draw layer masks and such.
I did a studio shoot recently and all 400+ images were properly exposed. But at one point during the shoot I must have hit a setting on my camera that under-exposed by 1 stop or so about nine frames. Is there a way in Lightroom 4 to bring those nine frames up to the same exposure value as the others. I was shooting in Canon camera RAW.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife took my picture in front of the UW Husky Stadium but the video screen above me is overexposed (washed out). So I took a separate shot of the screen with proper exposure. As you can probably see, I took this shot much closer to the screen. I want to replace the overexposed screen witht the properly exposed screen in the picture of me.
Because the properly exposed shot was taken closer to the screen and maybe at a different angle (rotation) those would have to be adjusted.
I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 running on Windows 7. I have used it for a while but am an absolute beginner with anything more than the simplest functions so I would need all the steps spelled out in detail.
I discovered this "new" function on my camera today (just bought it recently and I'm still just playing around with it). A thingy called Multi-Shot where the camera takes 16 pictures in about 2 or 3 seconds and then makes it into a single image. Where you can see all the frames, which end up at a resolution of about 400*300 on the 7mp total resolution.
Is there any way possible to make photoshop automatically take my 16-pic multishot picture, take every single frame, crop it and save it as a separate image file? So I end up with 16 different pictures instead of one containing all the frames?
I want to make a mug shot of myself, but in black and white. and not black and white like b&w photography, but REALLY black and white, like this text.. that's as far as i've gotten w/ it. but i have no idea how to accomplish this. I got a book on photoshop "Photoshop WOW book" and so far i've learned a few things from it.. but would rather bypass some of the stuff in the book and jump right into what it is I'm wanting to do...
View 9 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop CS3 won't let me paste in a screen shot anymore. I hit PrtScn, open Photoshop, create a new file (the file IS created at the size of the screen, which is a start), and hit paste and nothing happens. Edit/Paste is greyed out in the menu.
I can however, paste a screen shot into Word, and then copy and paste that into Photoshop, but Word does something to the colors in addition to creating an extra step in the process.
I created a thread asking for someone to make a logo for my band because I don't know very much about photoshop. Because I didn't read the rules the thread was closed. So I would like to show the logo I came up with,

I have look at curves and levels but can't seem to get the right masking or layers that keeps the products properties. The main problem i think is because the product itself is a light colour against a background of what should be white.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS6 to prepare images for use in online Help and a print / pdf user guide for the company's newest software / Web app. What do you do to remove blank space from a screen capture? I am specifically curious if you add some type of indicator that tells the user that the actual image will be larger.
The first screen shot (left to right) is a typical screen shot that I've not edited. In the second one, I've cut the bottom button bar and moved it up to reduce the white space in the image. In the third image, I added a quick and dirty little "wave" to tell everyone that I've cut out some of the white space.
After being able to complete several Photomerge Group Shot projects before, the program is no longer saving them. It allows me to open all photos (I've tried merging group shots from 2 pictures to 5 pictures in an effort to find the error) and to go through all the motions but when I click 'Done' nothing happens. No error. No lag. One of my open files just sits there untouched.
I read somewhere that I should delete my preferences, but I haven't made any changes. This is the only feature I've ever even used on my new Elements program.
I tried opening the program under my husband's user name (new settings / preferences), but the same thing occurs. It just doesn't save - even when the computer has just been booted up and I'm only trying to merge two photos.
My machine is a Dell Inspiron 530S running WinXP 32-bit SP3 with 2GB RAM. I just clean installed WinXP and all windows updates. The only programs I have installed are Office and PSE10.
I just got Lightroom as a Christmas gift that is incompatible with this computer. If this is a RAM issue...or if I should upgrade to 64-bit...what should my minimum system requirements be to optimally run both Elements and Lightroom?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor Nikon D50 cameras Adobe Creative Suite 6 does not read "As Shot" white balance data whether it's specified or not. It defaults to "Automatic". We have the problem only for Nikon D50 and only in Photoshop CS6, Adobe Camera Raw 7.3 and Photoshop Lightroom 4. (Not in CS5. Not for Nikon D5100 or D7000 or Canon S95) .
