I have created a logo however it is only 400x400 and I need it to be 2 feet by 2 feet. How do I make it so that I can enlarge the logo without having to completely recreate it?
View 5 RepliesI have a small logo (92x80 image) that I want to round the corners on. There seems to be two ways to do this. One is the filter/decor method, but this is greyed out in my menu. The other is select/rounded rectangle; I can do this one but I can't get it to complete the procedure. After selecting "rounded rectangle", I can see the dashed lines going around the rounded corners. But I can't get the rounded image to save - it saves as the original rectangle not rounded.
What am I missing? The on-line GIMP manual does not explain what needs done. I tried carriage return after selecting rounded rectangle, but that does nothing. I also tried every crop method I could find. I've spent about three hours trying to get the rounded corners.
I am probably missing something simple. Do I need to create layers - a transparent layer? I am not sure exactly how to do that.
I want to put a small logo of my company on another image (left down corner). I want to put my logo with a diagonal shape (not square or rectangular).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have CS5. The photos coming out of the camera are 300 dpi and approx 12.8" x 19.2". When I crop the photo to 300 dpi and 8x10 and send it to print, the printer says the photo is too small. It comes across as 72 dip and 8.333" x 6.667". I was expecting photos to come out of the camera with 72 dpi and a huge length x width. I can then crop and print without issue. Is there a photoshop setting that needs to be set? Is there a different work flow I need to use? I shoot with a 5D Mark III.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a small registered trademark to an existing logo. I have the front and the matte of the logo which I take in to paint. While in paint, I add the registered trademark using the text brush within the graphics option. However, I can't seem to get the matte of the trademark and the existing matte of the logo to show up when I view the matte it's either one or the other - not together. So when I render, I'm not getting both the original logo and the trademark rendered with both mattes. For now, I've just composited the two in Action so I can move forward with my work but I would like to know how to do this in paint.

However, when I save the logo in JPEG/PNG for the web its always coming out smaller than i would like it to and i cant seem to get it to the size i want.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running Auto Cad 2012. For some reason that I can't figure out when I try to print the last few jobs, they are are printing too small. For example I setup paperspace for 24 x 18. Blow out the project to fit in the entire space. The printer, which by the way is an HP Designjet T2300, pulls out enough paper but the actual job is smaller. It has happened with a few different projects. If I print to a PDF then print the project from Acrobat...it's fine. I am quite baffled. Never did this before. Everything was fine up until a few days ago.

Should I save the document as an eps file for the print shop? I am completely clueless as to how to save my logo to a disk for the printer, so I apologize if this is a completely stupid question. Now i made a logo for a restaurant which they want to print as a vinyl sticker for on their windows. I send this logo to the printing company, but they asked me for a seperate outline-file, because the sticker will be contoured cut around the logo. But in Photoshop i cannot seem to find a method to make a outline file.

the 3200 dpi images are being stored on my hard drive and then will be archived on DVD.
how do i make small files without going and editing each one?
I find it difficult to 'see' the small layer thumbnails, they can be made larger or magnified when I run the mouse over.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSomeone would like a small 1 inch by 1 inch logo for invoices at 600 DPI. However I understand that illustrator doesnt work in DPI or PPI since it's vector. Would I have to transfer the small image over to photoshop. I did try and save a 1 inch by 1 inch logo at 600 PPI, however when I saved the image it was no longer 1 inch by 1 inch. It had increased significantly in size regardless of what file format I saved the image as.

However, I'm not at all familiar with preparing files for printing on non-white fabrics (a black t-shirt in this case). I've had a hunt on Google but haven't yet found a simple answer to my question which is this:
The logo is red and black on a white background (shown below). How do I make sure that the white area prints as white and not "no ink" as would happen when printing on white stock?
There will be a small run initially, so will probably use a heat transfer method rather than screen printing at this point.
I am using an MAC OSX is Mountain Lion. I am have problems with the small folders and icons in Photoshop CS6. It their a way to make them larger permanently? They are very hard to see. Same goes for the text in PS CS6.

decke 1, decke 2, decke 3
I tried a couple of times to align them, but the result is just not right. I can't get them in the same shape (frame1, frame2, frame3).
I can't really get three frames done so that it looks like you're moving forward in a mine-tunnel. Is my approach just wrong? how I could get three frames done in psd?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 3 color logo: black, PMS 200U, and PMS 1955U. The logo was built in Illustrator and I have placed grayscale tiff ontop of it. The grayscale tiff is a stipple (dots) effect that I colorized to PMS 1955U in Illustrator, masked it out on top of the logo, and set it to multiply. Within Illustrator, the separations look good and it prints fine when printing directly out of illustrator.
The problem is when I export it to a PDF/x1a and try to print it, it doesn't print properly. Printing from acrobat, it only previews and prints the PMS 1955U stipple and black. The flat PMS 200U under the tiff doesn't print. I've tried bitmapping the photoshop file and making the stipple monochromatic and still doesn't seem to work when exporting to a PDF and printing.
Funny thing is, when I do the whole process for the CMYK logo (not PMS), it all prints out fine as a PDF/x1a.
How to get the logo to export and print properly?
I am trying to make this logo in Photoshop and I don't know where to start. Can you just give me ideas which tools I should use.

I have viewed dozens of tutorials, and I think the problem is that most of the explosions in the tuts look too real. I am looking for something more comic bookish, but not too much so. As this is for a small site selling R/C products, I thought it might be cool to have a remote control car, plane, boat, or all three coming out of the blast, with the logo somehow in the blast.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI really want to make a small honeycomb swatch pattern (the polygons should be small - 2 px x 2px) , but I just cannot get it to work. What I did is make one small polygon, and went to: Object>pattern>make and applied the following settings:
You will see that on the shoulder of the t-shirt, the pattern is kinda trasparent - the bottom layer is visible-I don't want it to be.The bottom pattern(on the side of the t-shirt) you will see came out fine, except that the polygons are too big and I cannot get it any smaller.
Just made this wallpaper, original size was 1440*900 Every avatar inside that pic are individual image file and I input them by Add layer > Import from a file, one by one = =''

I am trying to make the hands of a clock with a small red rounded rectangle near the top. But as I rotate the shape the lines are no longer straight. The hands of the clock are invisible but a bounding box for the small rounded rectangle. It won't stay straigh either. I have tried everything I can paths, etc.
