Now I'm trying to have window stickers made for vehicles. I need this image to be completely white so it can be seen against a tinted window.
I'm trying to come up with a Logo for our small engineering company. The company name is (CHJ Incorporated). We do soils related work in southern california. We are looking for something very simple, professional, and something to focus on the CHJ letters. Perhaps just a great new font, etc. So far, our internal ideas have all been focused on just the CHJ letters with font changes and shading.
View 9 Replies View RelatedTo make a long story short, is photoshop what I should use to create it? I'd like it to be scalable, vector I believe it's called, but wouldn't Illustrator be a better choice for this? The logo will probably be some fancy text, with a bit of a effect, and a very simple identification mark.

I have to duplicate a Logo that was created for a company. The files used to create the original are not available to me, but that's another story.
Any since quite a bit of the logo is the actual name, is it better to use something like illustrator for the logo instead of photoshop.

I've seen in previous thread's how to add a company logo to your title block/plot frame using a jpg file. Plus i've set the image parameters to 0 to remove the line around the image that appears. I've also set the transparency to "ON" - not sure if this is correct but did it anyway - i think.
My problem is that when I come to print it off - the logo appears with a slight background (very faint grey) when it should be just white. The logo is made up of black and red shapes with black text on a white background.
We are trying to update our company logo on hundreds of autocad drawings, any lisp routine or a better way to get this updated. We are trying to update our title blocks that have company logo in it and want to change the logos to the new one.

I sell clothing online, and I'm looking for the best way to quickly remove the price from an image of the retail tag. Everything I've tried seems to be tedious, so I don't think I've got the right tool so far. I just want to be able to do what was called a "Smart Erase" in my old Digital Image Pro program -- I simply drew a quick outline around the area to be erased, and then clicked on the erase button, and the price was gone off the tag (it inserted the same background area there).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a small logo (92x80 image) that I want to round the corners on. There seems to be two ways to do this. One is the filter/decor method, but this is greyed out in my menu. The other is select/rounded rectangle; I can do this one but I can't get it to complete the procedure. After selecting "rounded rectangle", I can see the dashed lines going around the rounded corners. But I can't get the rounded image to save - it saves as the original rectangle not rounded.
What am I missing? The on-line GIMP manual does not explain what needs done. I tried carriage return after selecting rounded rectangle, but that does nothing. I also tried every crop method I could find. I've spent about three hours trying to get the rounded corners.
I am probably missing something simple. Do I need to create layers - a transparent layer? I am not sure exactly how to do that.
I'm trying to add a small registered trademark to an existing logo. I have the front and the matte of the logo which I take in to paint. While in paint, I add the registered trademark using the text brush within the graphics option. However, I can't seem to get the matte of the trademark and the existing matte of the logo to show up when I view the matte it's either one or the other - not together. So when I render, I'm not getting both the original logo and the trademark rendered with both mattes. For now, I've just composited the two in Action so I can move forward with my work but I would like to know how to do this in paint.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSomeone would like a small 1 inch by 1 inch logo for invoices at 600 DPI. However I understand that illustrator doesnt work in DPI or PPI since it's vector. Would I have to transfer the small image over to photoshop. I did try and save a 1 inch by 1 inch logo at 600 PPI, however when I saved the image it was no longer 1 inch by 1 inch. It had increased significantly in size regardless of what file format I saved the image as.
View 10 Replies View RelatedThe little windows (colors, tools, etc.) can be EXTREMELY annoying, as they are always blocking some part of the image or another. I think it would be great to have an option to make them into toolbars on the side or top of the image... something for 4.0 perhaps?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have succeeded in making a graphic background transparent.... However, There are 4 small sections that appear transparent but when i hit the wand they are a different transparent color (still white and grey little boxes but don't turn pale blue on top when i hit the wand... And, It is these 4 small areas that still print white.
I don't know if i messed it up with layers before ... but i am guessing??? These areas won't erase again because they show as erased.
I tried copying and pasting in paint.net a variety of formats... Gif, Jpeg, Pnd and then tried erasing again and although Jpeg did erase.... i was back to square one and these 4 small areas keep printing white. How i can transparent these 4 small areas?

Why is the Transparency command window in the Clone Tool property bar so narrow? By comparison, the window for the Feather command next to it is twice the size. The reason for the moan is because my display is set to 110% as I like to see slightly larger text but I've had to go down to 100% because I can only see one complete digit in that tiny little window.
Is there any way to make it a touch wider so I can see two digits without a problem?
