How can I get the company logo onto my title block. The image I am trying to use is a .tif file. Is this the correct file type? The image is simple and shouln't be very big in size. I've tried using insert command.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've seen in previous thread's how to add a company logo to your title block/plot frame using a jpg file. Plus i've set the image parameters to 0 to remove the line around the image that appears. I've also set the transparency to "ON" - not sure if this is correct but did it anyway - i think.
My problem is that when I come to print it off - the logo appears with a slight background (very faint grey) when it should be just white. The logo is made up of black and red shapes with black text on a white background.
Been working with Auto Cad for a while, but using the same tittle block that was created by someone else.
The tittle block seems to be made up of some text lines (which is the area I want to modify), but tied to several 'attributes' below the text, project, drawing number etc.
The only way I can access the text is to 'explode' the whole area (block?), I can then modify the text, but in doing so the several attributes function individually, and not as a whole block.
How do I 'un-explode' the area?
I have made a template for my mapbooks and I got the main viewport, key viewport and adjacent map arrows to work great, but the title block is proving more difficult. I have tried it many ways, in a seperate drawing in model space which did not work, in the template as a block in a layout which came in, but did not allow me to edit any foelds unless exploded, etc, etc...
How to use an existing company title block incorporated into the map book template?
We are trying to update our company logo on hundreds of autocad drawings, any lisp routine or a better way to get this updated. We are trying to update our title blocks that have company logo in it and want to change the logos to the new one.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble inserting my title block in a 3D drawing. I'm kind of new to 3D modelling but it's probably a small mistake i'm making.
I started with my view in SE Isometric, drawed something and then I copy/pasted my title block from another drawing, all in modelspace.
My drawing is 3D and my title block is 2D but in the wrong position.
starting a new job at work so setting up the job folder etc. grabbed the title block and the text attribute insert from the library.....
so here is when the issue started.....so title block and text attribute are both saved in model space, both have all the same settings, this also applies to the template we have here all match.
so i xref in my title page at 1:1 which comes in normal, then i insert my attribute block in at 1:1 but it comes in at some super size thing, normal 3.5 text size is now 1000......
have fiddled with everything gone back to the library set etc but got no idea.
the interesting bit is if i open the title block and insert the attribute block in, it comes in perfect......
so in saying that i am assuming it is the work template..... but none of this has changed for over a month and have created drawings since then........maybe a random setting somewhere has changed but again haven't done anything different to normal no new radical changes....
i have attached a copy of the title block and the text attribute.
The incorrect plotted logo is xref'd into a title block. It appears fine on a plot preview. The same titleblock is Xref'd into all other drawings with no problems. I have tried printing both directly from my desk to the printer, and plotting it to a file. I have tried PDFing it in both Bluebeam and Adobe. Bluebeam PDF has lines vertically, evenly spaced, throughout the entire drawing; Adobe is unexceptably blurring. I have purged and audited all the Xref's in the drawing as well as the drawing itself. I have even created a new drawing and rexref'd everything and brought the work over. Nothing has worked. There is nothing more frustrating then having all the work done but not being able to submit it. I already spent 2 days trying to fix this and the project goes out at the end of the week.

I'm trying to come up with a Logo for our small engineering company. The company name is (CHJ Incorporated). We do soils related work in southern california. We are looking for something very simple, professional, and something to focus on the CHJ letters. Perhaps just a great new font, etc. So far, our internal ideas have all been focused on just the CHJ letters with font changes and shading.

It's attached so how I can recreate the shadow all around "patco". It's really sharp on the edges of the shadow and I'm just not able to recreate it. I tried drop shadows and that didn't work. How to do a wrap without the top bending either.
I have to duplicate a Logo that was created for a company. The files used to create the original are not available to me, but that's another story.
Any since quite a bit of the logo is the actual name, is it better to use something like illustrator for the logo instead of photoshop.

The title blocks that we use have prompted entries in them and I would like to find a way using iLogic to copy the entries from one title block to another within the same drawing; i.e.. if the user decides to change from an A2 to A1 drawing.
I already have an iLogic rule which allows the user to change the active border, title block and sheet size based on a form selection but would like it to capture the prompted entries already entered and re-use them after the change.
I have a title block inside my drawing and i want to link my title on the title of the file itself, so that if the title of the file was change, it will be change also inside the drawing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe're using C3D 2013 SP2. The survey company we use uses point styles to show the blocks. Say they shoot a catchbasin. Instead of inserting the block, the point shows up as the block.
I did a field check & needed to insert a missed CB. When I inserted the block, the other points that were CBs disappeared. I had to insert the block, copy it the clipboard, undo the insertion & then paste the block in. It did this on other drawings & other blocks.
Is it possible, via whatever methods (lisp?) to be able to have a premade block with an attribute and insert it into a drawing then assign a value to it by selecting another existing block in the drawing and using one of its own attribute’s values?
For example, say I have a block representing a telephone and it had an attribute called "PhoneNo" and I inserted it into a drawing showing an office floor plan that had blocks in each office space that are telephone junction boxes with attributes "PhoneExtension". I would like to be able to autocomplete the entering of the “PhoneNo” data by selecting one of the telephone junction boxes in the drawing and using its attribute’s value.
I have created d/blocks for my different pipe sizes i.e one block with a dropdown to select the different sizes and have done the same for my flanges. now how do I link / insert the flange d/block to the piping block so that I can export the information into a material list later on.

Are they any examples that does the same as above using the non-interop code?
I have several blocks saved as separate .DWGs, some of which are dynamic. I want to review and test these blocks, but I can't find a way to open the existing block definitions in the Block Editor without first inserting the blocks into a drawing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have a title block and border which is used in MS. If this is referenced using AMTITLE then it acts as expected. We issue these to some external people to create our drawings but they have been using CTRL-C and V to place them in a new drawing. ACAD does now not see them as a Title block or border but as blocks. We have a process to bring DWG's into SAP and this will check for a title block and border.
The issue is we need to fix these drawings and currently this means removing the borders and title blocks and placing new ones then adding all the attributes again. Is there a way to convert the blocks back to how they should be?
