I am using an MAC OSX is Mountain Lion. I am have problems with the small folders and icons in Photoshop CS6. It their a way to make them larger permanently? They are very hard to see. Same goes for the text in PS CS6.

I am trying to make a slide show of photos for my brother's funeral. The photos will be shown on a screen at the church and on a TV monitor at home. I was used to Photoshop 4, but had purchased but not really used Photoshop Elements 10. I am about 1000 miles away from home so I cannot go back to try to using Photoshop 4 which is not on this laptop. I don't think I want to change (i.e. resample) the pixels, etc.

I have put into order all of the photos. However, the photos are of varying sizes. The photos taken digitally are fine. However, I have a lot of photos take a long time ago for like 3X3 or 2X3, i.e. like in the 50's - 90's, which were scanned. Then provided to me in a variety of ways. Coming to me they are small on the page. ie like in one corner. I am not trying to shrink these photos. I am trying to resize them larger. And probably get rid of most of the white background.Â
I am running a subscription to Creative Cloud on a new Windows laptop....just Photoshop to start with. The fonts and icons are so small I can hardly see them...I have to get really close to the screen. I went to Edit >Preferences >Interface and changed the font size from medium to large but that didn't work (or if it did, the change was negligible). My screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 (recommended). I tried lowering it but that only changed the sizes of the fonts on my desktop, not in Photoshop. I run PS cs4 on my old laptop and never have had this problem.Â

I've tried some dedicated programs like Microangelo but PS has more tools and effects.
I would like to crop a small part of a larger image with custom / free flow dimensions to the crop and then be able to print / export at a know print friendly aspect ration. An example would be a taking a crop of one person in a couple,from a larger image. The crop is outside common aspect ratios. Can lightroom fit the image to an aspect ratio of my liking whilst maintaining everything I have cropped?

We have tried changing it in setting with no luck and we can't seem to chance the view into full screen due to the option seemingly being inactive. The program is for my mother and her vision is to poor to read any of it.
I just tried running this program on a computer running on Windows 7 professional OS. When I tried to share the album I created by exporting to CD/DVD, the preview showed only small thumbnail icons without the pictures. I tired to troubleshoot the compatibilty but did not seem to work.

I have 20/20 vision but the workspace is so small on this computer. I've tried changing the resolution on my screens and it's not changing photoshops screen at all. I'm not sure why it is a great size on my past computers and this updated computer it's not showing properly ? I can not use the program any longer with the changed sizing.

Well, I've grabbed my arc on one of the anchor points and I drag it to the larger shape's path but no snapping, no "path" or "intersection" labels show up. I've got all the options for Smart Guides checked off and I've got Snap to Point enabled but still no luck. It makes precise alignment a guessing game.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to Gimp 2.8, I am loving the single window mode. But the brushes are working a bit differently to 2.6.
I work, mostly, on A4 pages at 300DPI. So when I want to enlarge a brush, I like to use a custom shortcut to quickly upscale the brush so that I can to a large size quickly.
This happened nicely in 2.6. However, in 2.8, I can't find a way to quickly upscale the brush in the same way. I've created the same custom shortcut, but the upscaling takes a lot longer to reach the desired scale. It's a case of holding down the keyboard shortcut and then waiting while the brush gets bigger.
Is there a way to speed up that upscale motion?
EDIT: In other words, is there a way to make the "increase brush size more" function increase its increments?
I've been trying to make a icon for Vista (actually Windows 7 RC, but it uses the same guidelines) and simply cannot get it to work. I have my icon made in a 256x256 size and saved into .png. I edit the .xml file for my library that I want the icon to go for, but it simply changes it to the default folder icon. The XML coding is right, the location is correct, so it must lie within how I made the icon. Now, I know the default icon in the "Vista guideline" requires 256x256 and 11 other sizes; I had figured this would just downsize automatically. Do I resize the icon manually in seperate layers or what? And I apologize if this is the wrong place or this has been answered. I've searched the internet for at least 30 minutes, searched this forum lightly and came up empty. Also sorry if this seems more like a Windows issue rather than a Photoshop issue, but generally going into a Windows forum and asking this will get you a bunch of garbage, seeing as they may or may not have experience with making icons. View 2 Replies View RelatedJust recently, any prints I try to make on paper larger than 8.5 x 11 is offset, small or both using my epson 3880. Up until about 2 months ago it was fine. Also, the colors appear somewhat muted on the larger prints. Plus, I am still having a problem with prints being too dark but that is minor to the skewed printing. I still have LR 2 & 3 installed and tried using these programs with the same results.
