View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Adobe Photoshop CS2 - and I've run into a awkward problem. I cannot get it to write text in larger than font 72. When I'm trying to insert text - it has the default sizes 6-72 for font size. Other is grayed out (always is, never seen it as an option to actually choose).
I've been reading multiple tutorials for help on Photoshop and many of them mention using a font larger than 72 for watermarks or whatever else may be.
No matter what font I choose, other is always grayed out. I've scavaged through their help files and can't find anything even remotely close to this issue - so wondering if anybody else has run into this?
I have found this post from April where the bug was acknowledged in the beta:
[URL].........
I now have the official release of CS6, and I am still seeing this issue. And for clarification, here's what the issue is:
- I start off creating a text layer with a font size of 20px.
- I then transform this layer to make it larger.
- I copy the layer over so I have identical text layers.
- When I select each individually, I am shown the new, larger font size, we'll just say 40px. But when I select both together, it shows the original font size of 20px in the character palette. When I increase the font size with both selected to say 30px, it actually makes the text more like 60px.
Will this bug actually get fixed?
How to use a photo behind cut out text and everything was going fine until I tried to add text and change the color. The text is invisible even though I changed the color to white and the box resized itself really small and I can't see anything even though I set it to 150 px.
Try to unchecking the 'dynamic text' button but I don't see this button anywhere in my text tab.
I have never been able to successfully use GIMP for anything because of this problem with adding text. I have had 2 versions, Windows and Linux. Right now I am using it with Pangolin.
When I use the measure tool for the ruler an open centered cross is displayed - is there any way to make the size of the centre of the cross larger? this way i can get a more accurate measure of 2 points -

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm in PSE 10 and when I crop a small portion of an image and accept the crop, it remains a small image instead of snapping to a larger image like it did in PSE 6. I know there must be some way to have the small image automatically made larger rather than having to click on the magnifier and "+" and then on the image until it is a size I can work on. I've checked the FAQs and Photoshop Elements 10 but can't find the answer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running PSPX3. the effect of no compression (or compression factor = 1) on saving files. I've got a JPEG image file straight from my camera that's approximately 4.1MB in size. If I do nothing else but "Save As" with a compression factor of 1, the new file size is approximately 50% larger, or 6.2MB. What has changed to make the file size larger? Both images are still 72DPI, 3648X2736px. I can't image that I have done anything to "improve" image quality, so why did the file size increase?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble reading the menu text in Elements 11 that I juat purchased. I have found that with many programs there is a way to enlarge the menu text, but so far I have not been able to find a way to make the menu text large enough for me to read unless I am about 1' away from the screen which I am sure you can imagine is not reasonable or acceptible.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using Elements 8 for some time and recently purchased an ASUS monitor that is at home in both vertical and horizontal modes. Can I change the Elements 8 format to work in a vertical format to accommodate the larger size possible with a vertical image. It is difficult to manipulate the functions in Elements when the mouse is working in a horizontal mode and you are viewing a large image in a vertical format. If the format of the Elements 8 software can be changes to vertical, any protocol (directions) to accomplish this?

Is there the option to change the UI font in PSE 11 - i can not find an option, despite this UI problem being around for at least PSE 10 and PSE 9......
If no UI option in PSE11 - WHY?
I'd have thought (since this has been a problem since 9 and that HD displays are fairly common now) it would have been addressed. I still can't find a way to increase the font size in PE 11, though. Am I missing something? It seems the menu fonts have increased in size in proportion to what Windows font size I'm using, but all the other fonts in PE 11 are still too tiny to read meaning (unless I am missing something) the software is still unusable (unless I sacrifice resolution).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like Abobe to create a patch for this problem affecting so many of us. The menu's font size cannot be adjusted in PSE. It is a HUGE problem for me. I cannot return the product, I lose money, but I am unable to continue with using it. I do not understand why Adobe keeps ignoring this problem. PSE would be a great product - only if Adobe listened to customer input. I am forced to think that Adobe simply does not care enough about its customers, especially not about the older population with presbiopia.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhere the setting for the size of type/font preview drop down is located in CS6, it used to be located under pref->type->type preview - but apparently not anymore. I'm probably "blind", they surely did include this option in CS6?
(A thing I find annoying in CS6 is how short the font drop down list is, only covers 1/3 of the height of my resolution, even though I have hundreds of fonts activated - requires a lot of scrolling! I really hope this gets larger if it is possible to have larger previews)
