I have finally finished my logo for my friends small business, and want to save the document to a disk for the printer. I am using photoshop cs2. Should I save the document as an eps file for the print shop? I am completely clueless as to how to save my logo to a disk for the printer, so I apologize if this is a completely stupid question. I would also like to save it for a black and white application.

I realized PSP has the mentioned resources to handle images to Office applications. I intend to print Microsoft Word obtaining the best image quality of my pictures. Is “Save for Office” or “Copy for professional printing” worth using?
Many times I take images through PSP “screen capture”. So, if I use in PSP “Copy for professional printing” and paste in Word, will it improve the final document printing?
I have created a logo however it is only 400x400 and I need it to be 2 feet by 2 feet. How do I make it so that I can enlarge the logo without having to completely recreate it?

Now i made a logo for a restaurant which they want to print as a vinyl sticker for on their windows. I send this logo to the printing company, but they asked me for a seperate outline-file, because the sticker will be contoured cut around the logo. But in Photoshop i cannot seem to find a method to make a outline file.

However, I'm not at all familiar with preparing files for printing on non-white fabrics (a black t-shirt in this case). I've had a hunt on Google but haven't yet found a simple answer to my question which is this:
The logo is red and black on a white background (shown below). How do I make sure that the white area prints as white and not "no ink" as would happen when printing on white stock?
There will be a small run initially, so will probably use a heat transfer method rather than screen printing at this point.
I have a 3 color logo: black, PMS 200U, and PMS 1955U. The logo was built in Illustrator and I have placed grayscale tiff ontop of it. The grayscale tiff is a stipple (dots) effect that I colorized to PMS 1955U in Illustrator, masked it out on top of the logo, and set it to multiply. Within Illustrator, the separations look good and it prints fine when printing directly out of illustrator.
The problem is when I export it to a PDF/x1a and try to print it, it doesn't print properly. Printing from acrobat, it only previews and prints the PMS 1955U stipple and black. The flat PMS 200U under the tiff doesn't print. I've tried bitmapping the photoshop file and making the stipple monochromatic and still doesn't seem to work when exporting to a PDF and printing.
Funny thing is, when I do the whole process for the CMYK logo (not PMS), it all prints out fine as a PDF/x1a.
How to get the logo to export and print properly?
I've been doing some group photos for my work and would like to overlay our logo and text, but be able to use it again for other shots and change the text when needed. Something like class photos where all I would change would be the text.
Can I create a transparent PSP image that can then be overlaid any future photos?

I have a logo which I would like to use as a transparent .gif file on my wordpress site. I have saved it for web use on Illustrator, but when I uploaded it, there is a white outline on the transparent logo, and it is all pixelated.

I have a logo with a transparent object (trying to achieve a stamped/weathered look), transparency set at 80%. When I go to save as pdf, the object looks jagged and 100% (no transparency).
View 3 Replies View RelatedThere's a great divide between illustrators and engineers which is showing up in the difficulty of programming 3D printers using an illustration source. I would like to produce bas relief images from digital engravings and photographs but I've encountered several problems.
Problem one is finding a program which looks at an illustration and allows the user to determine where to bend and contour the surface and produces a file which a 3D printer can interpret.
Problem two is that all the present 3D devices are designed to make prototype devices. For bas relief, the Z dimension need only be an inch or two but height and width need to be greater than most 3D machines allow at present.
I raise this subject here because I wonder if Corel are alerted to the idea of producing interpretive 3D software. If the software existed, I feel sure that the hardware would quickly follow.
I am having an issue placing my Ai file, saved multiple ways, in InDesign without losing quality? Maybe save settings or a step-by-step? I work between Ps, Ai, Id often but just started using Ai to create my own graphics.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use the graphics section of PSP X3 pro for architectural drawings. Recently when I tried to print a drawing from the *.psp image file all but one of the text objects went missing.
I finally converted the file to *.jpg and was able to print it with all its text. I haven't encountered this problem before and the file is rather small (310KB). Relying on the *.jpg file for printing is not a good option for me since in more complex drawings the *.jpg version is degraded.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem printing out a black and white photo. This is the first time I'm tring to print from PSP 3. When the photo is printed out, instead of looking like what I did in PSP 3, it looks like it was imbossed and black pencil. I have done a search and played around with PSP 3 with no luck..Even reinstalled PSP 3. If I go to the photo file, both the saved and the original, and print it directly, they comes out near perfect, except for a purple tint in both. You do not see the purple tint in the photo when in PSP 3 or the saved file untill it is priinted out.

Is there anyway to bring up a the printer dialogue box or tell the printer I need more than 1 print of the layout? It's time consuming to hit that printer button x number of times. I just had to print 50 pages of the same layout today and it would be so much easier to let the printer print the 50 copies instead of sending 1 page 50 times to the printer.

I want to send it to be printed in an external store. With CorelDraw, it is just sending the CDR file (with vector in curves) and the file by itself shows A3 paper dimensions when opened. So, the guy who will print just make the job, without any question!
It seems to me that files like PNG or JPG can’t be handled as CDR file by the person who will receive the file. So, what should be the better PaintShop file format to send to external store to be printed in the way I mentioned?
I am new to Corel PaintShop Pro X4, and am attempting to enter text into a template I found online. I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. I can't get them to open and then save them as a .jpg or a .pspimage format in either PSP9 or in X3. In X3, when I click on the pic, it brings up the "Canon RAW Lab" dialogue box, showing a black and white image but with a deep pinkish cast to it. And there is no options to save it. What do I do from here?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI haven't really used PSP for doing custom graphics, mostly for working on photos; but before that I was using Adobe Photoshop and I liked (and still do) how it made saving easier than PSP does. Unfortunately Photoshop is horribly expensive so this is a better option.
I can't figure out for the life of me how to save .psd or .eps with the layers? It keeps telling me that due to how I am saving or the file format the alpha layers will be lost and so on.
When I open an image from my NAS, edit the image, and then attempt to save it as the default jpg type I get the following error message: "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
This error doesnt happen with any other image filetype. It doesnt happen with local hard drives. It doesnt happen with unedited images. It just appears to happen with edited images, the default jpg filetype, and my NAS.
When I actually type in ".jpg" at the end of the filename it works.
Its an annoyance i would like solved because I do this a lot.

When I Save a workspace, I untick Include Open Images. I have always done this. When I save a workspace in X5, the 'Include Open Images' is always ticked. I un-tick it and save the workspace. X5 then asks me if I want to save changes to the open images in the workspace. Why? I click on No, repeated for all the images that are open at this time.
I then click on Save a Workspace again and yes, the Include Open Images is ticked again. In previous versions of PSP this remained unticked until the user ticked it again.
