In the Photo Editor of Elements 11, when I click on the Text Tool, I can't get the Text Control Box to open. I've tried everything I can think of. The video on Adding Text shows the window aready open. While your answering, I will check in the Preferences.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I open lighting effects in CS6, there are none of the resizing/repositioning icons [controls, widgets, whatever you want to call them] that I see in all the tutorials (and remember from previous versions of Photoshop). The Lighting Effects Properties window opens on the right, but no amount of fiddling produces any change in the image. Even if I choose a preset, my image is still just a useless darkened version of its former self (and still no icons appear).
BTW, I am running Windows 7 on a quad core laptop with a supported video card (Radeon HD 6520G), so this problem should have nothing to do with that.
When I open Photoshop Elements 10 Editor to edit a text layer on a 511KB 412x292 psd photo the text layer is not shown. How do I open the text layer? How do I edit the text layer? How do I save the finished work product? The background layer is locked. I can't unlock it. I have tried any number of approaches none of which open the text layer for editing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI’m using Photoshop Elements 10. I want to round the corners of a photo I’ve added filters to. I want to control the amount of roundness. When I select the rounded rectangle tool and draw a rectangle over to photo, I do not see the handles that control the roundness. Is there an easier way to do this? I eventually want to add a beveled edge, drop shadow, and use the image as a background for a web page. I have the complete CS6 suite.

I have had Elements 9 on this computer for 2 years without being asked for this permission. If I click yes, photoshop opens, if I click no, it doesn't open so I then have to click yes!

Simple question:
am trying to edit a text layer but i am unable to open the text box to change text.
It creates a new text layer everytime i click on the layer.
I have just started exploring APE 11 and found one problem. I cannot control GPS coordinates and location tags when I use Add Places. Google maps does not always show correct place on map when address is entered, if I adjust the place on map manually, it either loses location tags or asumes that it is another address. Neither scenario is desired. What I would love to do is to be able to type coordinates and edit location tags (now only deletion is an option). API 11 does not allow to do what I want, is that correct?
I was thinking about doing some manipulation with *.pse11db file as it apperantly is SQLite database. Any example of SQL query that would
a) list all photos (their full file paths) for specified album and
b) SQL query that would allow to edit GPS coordinates and location tags for specified photo (its full file path)?
I need to clean up a picture of a worn out control panel. This will be printed on decal transfer paper for hobby modelers. The photo is entirely black and white. I just downloaded photoshop elements 12 (free trial). My question is what area of the editor is the best place to start with?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on an animated gif, and so with bitmaps, to which I am adding text in Xara.All of the text that I create seems to want to be gray. I have tried changing transparency, I have tried setting my default color, and changing the color of the text.I have also checked to make sure that the text is not set to transparent. If I select the text, and then the transparency tool, it shows "No transparency", and the transparency is set at 0 percent. It is interesting that, if I move the percent transparency above 0 percent and then back down to 0 percent, it changes to "None" in stead of "No transparency". Is "None" the same is "No transparency"?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has been happening intermittently but now seems to be permanent. When I slect the Multiline tool, click to place the text box, then click to place the other corner the box ignores the size I set and snaps to as wide as the screen and one line high. It does this in several different drawings so it is not native to one. If I enter text and deselect I can adjust the handles and alter the text.
I have attached a screen shot to show. It doesn't matter how close or far I am zoomed in on the drawing.
For what it's worth I do not like the way the ribbon panel controls handle text, it usually takes multiple tries to get it to change the text height. I usually resort to using the Properties flyout but that adds mutltple steps to the process.
Running AutoCAD 2009 on Win 7, how do I get a drop down box for text style control, similar to my dim style control etc, onto my toolbar at the top? I've tried clicking on customize and dragging it but it won't move. Other users of Acad 2009 in our office have it but I can't see how to add it to the toolbar, only the icon?

I have 2 viewports, one at 1:1000 and the other at 1:250. They show exactly what I want with respect to the area covered and the zoom factor, BUT the text on all of the survey shots is changing size based upon the different viewport scales.
I need the text on the survey points to remain the same size and not adjust based upon the viewport scale. So the text should be a fixed scale and not associative.
I have looked at the labeling style Composer dialogue and can not see a way to specify a fixed height which does not adjust based upon the viewport scale. I can set the point symbols to a specific size so they do not scale - Can I do the same with the text labels (description, elevation, etc.)?
I am typing in Farsi which is a right-to-left language. What I see in the monitor is correct. Words appear from right-to-left. But when I print, Entire sentence appears from left-to-right.
This happens even if I print to PDF file. So it is not a problem with printer.
if i have a size indicated in my text style and i change the size from the style controls, updating the style, should all the instances not change to comply? This is how styles work in other software and how I intuit controlling this parameter.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to follow along with a video at Lynda.com on AI CS6.However, in the video, Deke McClelland is showing the TEXT "Align" on the top Control Panel.On my screen, it's not a text, but a small icon. When I click it, I don't get the same options he does.
I've searched and searched and can't find how to get MY screen to look like his. I have even tried to "Reset Essentials" (the workspace he's using) and still no luck.
Using AutoCAD 2013 and TOL command to generate feature control frames. We set our lineweights based on layer assignments.
Problem is that when printing, AutoCAD seems to randomly assign a lineweight to the feature control frames. It can vary from what it's supposed to be (such as lineweight set for the dimension layer) or thicker than even what the object lines are set at. Seems to pick a random linewieght at time of printing for these elements (just the boxes, not the symbols/text itself).
Is there a setting we should be defining somewhere to force it to follow the lineweight of the layer that it has been assigned to? Known bug?
it seems like in the past whenever i made either artistic text or paragraph text color default, that was reflected in the control Text using the Dimension tool.
but no matter what changes i make in X6, it remains a chalky blue.
I try to control the width between the border of rectangle and the edge of the text I put inside.

I've been experimenting with different ways to control the appearance of my symbols and elements.
I've seen multiple examples where people would add custom styles to the head of the html document created by edge. I've tried this, but no matter how I tweak it, I can't seem to get it to work. I've tried adding it to the existing edge runtime <style> tag, creating my own <style> tag (both before and after the edge runtime) and then adding the CSS into that, but to no avail. I have tried adding the class to both symbols and elements on the stage using both jQuery and that class form field next to the element name. I've also made sure to close out of the project before I add my styles, just in case that was the problem.
I feel like there might be some edge animate terminology/notation thing that I'm missing, because it seems like it should be a pretty straightforward process.
