I just installed PSE9 from the box and it has no effects in the bar and I read some posts about databases in /applicationsupport/adobe but all I have in that adobe folder is presets. How do I get my effects?

Specifically, we want to put a frame border around the edges of a photo, but the choices of frames don't show up for one user, but they do for the other (who has computer administrator privileges). View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using Elements 10 Editor for over a year now and have not run across this problem before. Nothing weird has happened with the program, it starts up just fine. I've never had it crash on me before or anything, but for some reason I can't view any of the effects in the right panel. They seem to be missing. I have reset the panels, checked to make sure everything is set to veiw and I even ran updates. But nothing has fixed the issue. I've used the program very recently and all the effects were viewable before, its just today that it seems this problem has occured.

I have verified the path and even copied any relevant plugin files from the Elements 11 directory into the corresponding Elements 12 directories, but still no luck. I looked all through the preferences and can't figure out how to re-size the display back to the default. I can't even minimize the display enough to grab the corner and pull the window in a little. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working in PSE8. All the actions I've purchased (from Florabella, etc.) have disappeared from the Effect pallet on the right hand side of my screen. I've checked to make sure that they are all still installed

and they are all there (ATN, JPG, PTN and Safari document versions). Why can't I see them in Effects anymore? How can I use them in PSE? I didn't make any changes. I've tried resetting everything, restarting numerous times.

I woke my computer up and it was 'shutting down' so apparently it was installing stuff. When I opened PSE my effects pallet was back to 'default mode'. I went into the 'photo creations' in my computer and they are all still in there but just not showing up in the effects panel. I have deleted the thumb data, and the media data all to no avail. Restarted my computer several times... NOTHING.
I cannot find my photo effects folder in PS Elements 10. All of my actions are missing. I have looked in spotlight, other folders and cannot find my folder.

I tried resetting the panel, but that did not work. I also could not find it in recent edits. Is there any way it can be retrieved and restored to the panel? While adding text and applying (experimenting) various "Effects" with the text, I used the garbage can icon to remove the "Effect", thinking it is going to remove the 'Effect" from the text, until I realized I had to remove the "Effect" with the edit button, not the garbage can. Have I now permanently removed the various "Effects" permanently or just off the screen? How do I regain them back onto the menu column? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created keyframes from audio file and used them to generate some effect, all works fine, it is amazing how easy it is However, I would like to generate flash (?) so that these effects would be dynamic to different audio files after export.
What I want is basically to create effects that can be used in life event to the streaming music.
After intalling Premiere pro CS6 and After effects CS6, I installed add-ons for these programs (newblue, boris, prodad...). When I open After Effects it gives me 38 cases of effects (Detail Enhancer, noise Reducer...) redundant in other programs, telling me to get rid of them.
When I check these effects in my programs, they are mainly .aex files, located in Premiere Pro CS6, Adobe Common Plug-ins, NewBlue Video effects collections 1 to 6. Some of them also exist in avid /pinnacle studio programs (my former video tools I still use to close previous video projects) before concentrating in Adobe CS6 suite. I don't know what to remove in a safe way. Premiere pro CS6 doesn't worry about redundancies ! Only After Effects...
