I have just upgraded from Elements 11 to version 12 and cannot get the new version to recognise Perfect Effects 4 as a plug-in. I have verified the path and even copied any relevant plugin files from the Elements 11 directory into the corresponding Elements 12 directories, but still no luck. This is running on Windows 8 64bit.

What's the analogy to those instructions in PSP? "Batch Process" seems the most likely candidate for "Automate", but there's no Perfect Resize options there.
I understand that X6 will load 8LI plugins, is that correct? How about Panels? I've both pointed PSP to the Perfect Resize directory, as well as copied the plugins into PSP's default plugin directory. No joy in either case. Both programs are x86 & x64 and neither makes a difference.
Are there any logs that may indicate whether the plugin is being loaded, or errors if it's not?

It always gave a bright and glowy image, but a few months ago that changed. I have never changed any of the settings, but one day when I used it it turned out all dark and grainy. The settings are the same, diffuse glow, so I don't understand why the sudden change? I have tried everything, but I can't get it back to normal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been working on embedding an Illustrator Live-Effect plugin to a new Illustrator CS5 plugin.One of the live-effects alters the text of text objects to use standardized abbreviations for place labels in maps.
I have ported the plugin using the exact same Live Effect name and the same parameter names to the live effect dictionary of the art.This in the hope that when I open the illustrator file in CS5 the effect will continue to work on converted text art.
But when I open an Illustrator 10 file in Illustrator CS5, the text object comes up with an "<Unknown>" live effect entry in the Appearance panel. And as the text is converted from legacy text to new ATE-text, the result of the live effect is also gone.
Studying the contents of the illustrator files, I find the following in the Illustrator 10 file

It initially tagged 5 photos when I used 'add people' and these show ok but since then it will not show any others even though they have been tagged. If I try to run the add people again, it just says there are no new people to tag. I have reset all the defaults but still nothing. If I go to the People - Family sections they are shown there as tagged but will not appear as stacks in the main People section.
