I use pse9. I have been shooting with a canon T3i in raw, cr2 mode and uploading to and editing with pse9 just fine. I recently upgraded to a canon 70D and pse9 does not recognize raw cr2 files. It says they are the wrong file type.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just installed ACR 5.6 on my old Elements 7.0, hoping that it would allow me to upload RAW files from my Canon S100. I get a message saying something like "Cannot open file (filename.CR2) because it is the wrong type of file". Someone in another thread suggested that not all CR2 files are the same...that they're camera dependent. (It seems like they shouldn't be) Supposedly ACR 5.6 supports the Canon S90, which is 2 generations prior to the S100.

It works just fine using EOS Utility: I can do shots, change camera settings and so on but I really want this feature inside of LR because of variety of features of LR.

I just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 6 to Elements 11 on a brand new iMac running OS X 10.8.2, but Elements 11 will not recognize my Epson Perfection 4990 PHOTO Scanner as an option to import from when I click on "File" then "Import." Is there a Plug-In that may be missing for this to operate as it used to in Elements 6 running on an older G5 Non-Intel processor? I don't have the new Elements 11 Disk to copy anything from, since I downloaded the program directly from Adobe.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a iMac OS X 10.7.5 and installed PSE11 tonight. When trying to organise using the People section, it does not recognize any of the tags. It initially tagged 5 photos when I used 'add people' and these show ok but since then it will not show any others even though they have been tagged. If I try to run the add people again, it just says there are no new people to tag. I have reset all the defaults but still nothing. If I go to the People - Family sections they are shown there as tagged but will not appear as stacks in the main People section.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI scanned some images using Phtoshop CS2 and saved them in Photoshope as jpgs. But apparently photoshop interpretted the end of the file name that I typed as a file extension - so a file that was called Portrait-06.22.1999 - was saved as a "1999" file as opposed to a jpg file. I can view these images in Windows Photo Viewer or Windows Live Photo gallery but they won't open in Photoshop. How do I change the file type so photoshop will recognize them? I tried just to add a JPG extension to the name of the file but that did not work. Also those photos that had this problem but were listed under "open recent" - I was able to get back in and save again as jpg and now they are fine.
