Photoshop Elements :: 11 Does Not Seem To Recognize NEF Raw Format
Oct 25, 2013
I have a Nikon D5200, and I take pictures in the NEF raw format. My Photoshop elements 11 does not seem to recognize this format and will not bring up any photos taken in this format, yet my Nikon supplied software does. I want to use elements 11 is there a work around for this problem.
I just puchased a canon rebel t4i. Elements 10 does not recognized the camera's RAW file format. When will Adobe provide support for the rebel t4i RAW files in Elements 10?
I installed the ACR plugin which is supposed to allow importing and editing of Oly ORF files and Canon CR2 files but it only will allow the CR2 files to be imported into the catalog.
I use a iMac OS X 10.7.5 and installed PSE11 tonight. When trying to organise using the People section, it does not recognize any of the tags. It initially tagged 5 photos when I used 'add people' and these show ok but since then it will not show any others even though they have been tagged. If I try to run the add people again, it just says there are no new people to tag. I have reset all the defaults but still nothing. If I go to the People - Family sections they are shown there as tagged but will not appear as stacks in the main People section.
I previously had a D3000 and was able to open NEF files in Elements 9 with ACR. Having upgrade to a D3200, Elements 9 won't open or even recognize the NEF files. I have contacted Nikon, but they say that the files from the D3200 are 'not compatible'.
I just upgraded my regular DSLR to a full frame Nikon D600. I've shot in RAW for a long time and never had any trouble with Elements 9 opening my RAW files via Camera Raw. I can't find which version of Camera Raw I have, but I know it does not recognize the Nikon D600 because it's so new. What version of Camera Raw should I download to make this work or is there a version of Camera Raw that recognizes the D600?
Elements 10 - Just bougfht a new camera, Canon 70d. Elements 10 doesn't recognize the raw files even though the same file extension is the same as my other Canon 60d.
I use pse9. I have been shooting with a canon T3i in raw, cr2 mode and uploading to and editing with pse9 just fine. I recently upgraded to a canon 70D and pse9 does not recognize raw cr2 files. It says they are the wrong file type.
I have just upgraded from Elements 11 to version 12 and cannot get the new version to recognise Perfect Effects 4 as a plug-in. I have verified the path and even copied any relevant plugin files from the Elements 11 directory into the corresponding Elements 12 directories, but still no luck. This is running on Windows 8 64bit.
I downloaded some photos to a file under my Photos. When I go to get photos from the file, they aren't there (in windows explorer). What is locking these out?I've tried other downloads, they work fine. Running version 10. I uninstalled & re-installed with no luck.
I have just bought a new camera a canon 5dmk111 and have been shooting in Raw+Jpeg. When I try and transfer them onto my PC in Elements 10 it only recognises the JPEG's and not the RAW. I have previously been using a canon 400D and not had this problem.
I have authorized Elements 11 to upload to my FB account. However, when I upload photos, the "Select an Album" drop down menu shows only two albums to choose from though I have more than 20 albums on my account. How can I get Elements 11 to recognize and upload to any of my existing albums?
Have been using PSE 10 on a four year old Macbook pro with no problems. Opens RAW file with no problem. Just installed the same PSE 10 on a new iMac, and PSE 10 editor says it can't open file because it doesn't recognize the file.
I'm using PhotoShop Elements 11. while trying to open NEF files from Nikon D600 I'm getting message "Could Not Complete your request because the files appears to be from a Camera Model which is not supported....." . Now I tried to update but its showing software is upto date. Camera Raw version I can see 7.1.0.354.
I am using PSE 11 on Windows to perform a full catalog backup to extenal HDD. The backup complete successfully. I then move teh external HDD and Restore the catalog using PSE 11 on Max OS X (Maverick). After selecting the source and desination for the restore, I get an error message that the selected HDD does not contain a valid backup. I have twice backed up the catalog. The folders on the HDD contqain more than 300GB of data from teh backup. I get no error during the backup process.
