Photoshop :: Finding A Plugin That Can Copy Coordinates Of A Selection To The Clipboard?
Jul 20, 2012Is there a plugin in existance, that I can make a selection in Photoshop and then copy the coordinates of that selection to the clipboard?
I am a texture artist and frequently lay a number of graphics out in one file, before typing out the coordinates for each element. Currently this is slow manual task, but could be made so much faster if I didn't have to type everything out.

That allowed you to select several colors and make a a threshold and other cool effects with only the colors you selected previously. I thought it was really cool, but I didn't save the photo.

Oct 1, 2011I'm looking for a plugin that will merge one layer with all of the individual layers below it. So this would be the equivalent of duplicating one layer multiple times and then moving each duplicate between all the layers below and then merging the duplicate layers down to each original individual layer.
It could be seen as putting an ace on top of the deck, duplicating that ace 51 times, and then putting a duplicate ace in between each of the cards below and then merging each duplicate ace card down to each of the other individual 51 cards below in the deck.
I've found allot of nice multi-layer plugins (Like "LayerGroups") on the GIMP plugin registry that have worked doing things that I need, but now I'm looking for this one on the GIMP plugin registry and I'm not having any luck.

Mar 4, 2014i have a photo montage at the end of a video and im looking for some way to automate the moving/scrolling/flow of the pics. i have a particle element (with a trail) that comes in flying through in 3d space. im trying to have the photos dissolve in one at a time in 3d space like they're flying at the camera slowly in front of this particle effect.
trying to not have to animate every single one of these by hand.

Nov 16, 2013I have just upgraded from Elements 11 to version 12 and cannot get the new version to recognise Perfect Effects 4 as a plug-in. I have verified the path and even copied any relevant plugin files from the Elements 11 directory into the corresponding Elements 12 directories, but still no luck. This is running on Windows 8 64bit.

Dec 2, 2011I've been working on embedding an Illustrator Live-Effect plugin to a new Illustrator CS5 plugin.One of the live-effects alters the text of text objects to use standardized abbreviations for place labels in maps.
I have ported the plugin using the exact same Live Effect name and the same parameter names to the live effect dictionary of the art.This in the hope that when I open the illustrator file in CS5 the effect will continue to work on converted text art.
But when I open an Illustrator 10 file in Illustrator CS5, the text object comes up with an "<Unknown>" live effect entry in the Appearance panel. And as the text is converted from legacy text to new ATE-text, the result of the live effect is also gone.
Studying the contents of the illustrator files, I find the following in the Illustrator 10 file

it isn't working because the name of the plugin file is different (or is it another reason?)It's a bit tricky because I have now combined several filters and live effects from several earlier plugins into a single new plugin.
It is easy to receive a notification upon opening a document and check if it's an earlier version of Illustrator.But how do I go about tracing the art tree to "upgrade" these live effects to the current plugin?

I am dimensioning screwed pipe, and want the cut length on the drawing, e.g. a pipe that is 3000mm between center of fitting should show a dimension of 2970. After doing this on a few hundred dimensions I want to check that I have not left any out. i therefore want to check if there is any way to check that they are all overridden.
After Effects :: Transparent Smoke Text After Effects CS5.5
Feb 27, 2014I've made a fabulous Smoke Text effect that I then insert the .mov file into Final Cut Pro. The smoke effect I downloaded from the tutorial has a black background and therefore when rendered out, it's a basic white text against a black background. Once in FCP, I have to turn the file's opacity down in order for it to layer over a video file and not black out what I layer over it.
How can I make the file transparent? A simple toggle of the transparency grid isn't going to do it. I need to make or find a video of smoke that is transparent?
CorelDRAW X5 :: Finding X-Scale Factor Of Changed Piece Of Text
Jun 21, 2011Is there anyway to determine how much a piece of artistic text has been changed in it's X-Scale? If I insert some text into my drawing using the Text tool, then grab the left handle and drag it in, I see the X-Scale: in the status bar go from 100% to whatever I drop it at. But if I go back to that piece of text, or select another piece that was compressed or expanded, and try the same trick, the scale factor resets back to 100%.
How can I determine the amount of change from the initial font the text has changed after the fact? None of the property boxes show you this information.

Illustrator :: Finding And Replacing A Text String To Style Block Of Copy
Jul 19, 2012Is there a way when finding and replacing a text string to style the block of copy. My problem is that I have some color codes given by the customer that now need to be converted to our internal color matches on our production drawings.
The original string of text looks like this:
Holder: P1 (Metallic Silver)
What I’m getting when I go to replace this string is:
Holder: Natural Satin
What I want is:
Holder: Natural Satin
I do not want the replaced text to be italicized. I'm thinking since the original string ends with an italic style that the replacement string is also italicized. There are about 50 pages of drawings with about 10 colors on the job and some pages have them entered in more than one place. So that's a minimum of 500 entries and defititely more considereing the multiple places these are called out. I'd really rather not have to copy and paste all of these by hand. I'm use to FreeHand, which would respect the font styling of pasted text in the find and replace diaglog.
Photoshop Elements :: Adding Text And Applying Various Effects With The Text
Dec 17, 2013I think I may have made a big error. While adding text and applying (experimenting) various "Effects" with the text, I used the garbage can icon to remove the "Effect", thinking it is going to remove the 'Effect" from the text, until I realized I had to remove the "Effect" with the edit button, not the garbage can. Have I now permanently removed the various "Effects" permanently or just off the screen? How do I regain them back onto the menu column? How many "Effects" should be visible in order to have the complete set? This was my first experiment with the lettering effects and hope I haven't lost them forever.

Aug 24, 2013I’m trying to add some text effects over my video, but I’m really stuck right now getting After Effects and Adobe Premier to work together.
From the tutorials I’ve watched online, I’ve been trying to create a dynamic link between the two programs so I could easily create texts and other effects in AE that immediately show up on my timeline in Premier. I've been able to create texts, but whatever I create in AE is not showing up on the Premier timeline. Am I missing a step? Also, when I load up my sequence into AE, all of the color correcting that I’ve done with Looks inside Premier goes away, and the clips appear as they did right out of the camera.

The video works fine, until at the end, when the camera moves through the text. When it moves through the text, it starts to "shake" the text. When the camera moves back away from the text, it stops shaking again.
