After Effects :: Why Don't Have Layer Option In Trapcode Particular
Jun 17, 2013I don't now if this is the right forum, because Trapcode Particular is from Red Giant and not for Adobe, but.. I'm using After Effects CS6 and I installed Trapcode Particular. When I select layer emitter, I can't choose a layer. Under layer is no option to select layer.

Oct 31, 2013I checked exchange in PS CC and could not find either the russell brown watercolor or oil-paint plugins... I watched the youtube video and it showed them there when he was doing a tutorial, but when I went to look all I found of his was paper textures.
Also, I went to his "Dr. Brown" web site and I found them there, and I downloaed them to my mac, but the installer does not install them.

the inverse of Outline selection plugin. Were i can find it or how can i implement it without a plugin.
i have a workaround for simple and not complex selections, using resize selections etc.. but it takes long time to implement, and it does not work for complex selection shapes.

Dec 2, 2011I've been working on embedding an Illustrator Live-Effect plugin to a new Illustrator CS5 plugin.One of the live-effects alters the text of text objects to use standardized abbreviations for place labels in maps.
I have ported the plugin using the exact same Live Effect name and the same parameter names to the live effect dictionary of the art.This in the hope that when I open the illustrator file in CS5 the effect will continue to work on converted text art.
But when I open an Illustrator 10 file in Illustrator CS5, the text object comes up with an "<Unknown>" live effect entry in the Appearance panel. And as the text is converted from legacy text to new ATE-text, the result of the live effect is also gone.
Studying the contents of the illustrator files, I find the following in the Illustrator 10 file

it isn't working because the name of the plugin file is different (or is it another reason?)It's a bit tricky because I have now combined several filters and live effects from several earlier plugins into a single new plugin.
It is easy to receive a notification upon opening a document and check if it's an earlier version of Illustrator.But how do I go about tracing the art tree to "upgrade" these live effects to the current plugin?

Jul 29, 2013I'm running AE CS6 (on MBPro OS X 10.7.5) and I just re-opened a file made with AE CS4 that uses some BCC plug-ins which I haven't re-installed in CS6. I got an alert that some effects were missing from the project. I'd like to find out where the effects are used in the project so I can delete them and end the alert message's reign of terror. Is there a shortcut way of doing that or must I hunt through every layer manually?

Feb 21, 2013After intalling Premiere pro CS6 and After effects CS6, I installed add-ons for these programs (newblue, boris, prodad...). When I open After Effects it gives me 38 cases of effects (Detail Enhancer, noise Reducer...) redundant in other programs, telling me to get rid of them.
When I check these effects in my programs, they are mainly .aex files, located in Premiere Pro CS6, Adobe Common Plug-ins, NewBlue Video effects collections 1 to 6. Some of them also exist in avid /pinnacle studio programs (my former video tools I still use to close previous video projects) before concentrating in Adobe CS6 suite. I don't know what to remove in a safe way. Premiere pro CS6 doesn't worry about redundancies ! Only After Effects...
