So I got the new visual studio 2012 ultimate but cannot find the Autocad plugin template when making new projects even when switching to .NET 4.0..I do have the latest ObjectARX and the API Wizard and the plugin works find on VS 2010 too.

I started a drawing a week ago but am not sure I used the right template. Is there a way to find out which template I used? I tried using DWGPROPS and STATUS but neither of these mention which template I used to start the drawing.

Unfortunately we have a Text Style being used somewhere within our template that we want to get rid of.
Are there any tools or methods to be able to find this Text Style?
I have personally gone through all the dialogue boxes trying to find it an cannot.
I have a client that is trying to use the Cable and Harness feature, but receives the following error:

He has Inventor installed on his D drive, along with most of his other programs. OS, etc are on the C drive. I have verified that he has harness.iam and a Cable&HarnessDefaultLibrary.iwl in the following location for Inventor 2013
C:UsersPublicPublic DocumentsAutodeskInventor 2013Design DataCable & Harnessen-US. As a stab in the dark, I had him copy those files over to his workspace, and re-start Inventor, but same result. Latest updates are installed.
Does any existing action or plugin that produces a realistic "cut-out template / spray paint" effect like the one seen here?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm linking an excel file to an .ipt file with iLogic code determining if the Material type is a certian value it will find the correct material thickness. These file work great when working on them thru Vault but when I "Save As Template" and create this file where our other template files are located (not Vault) this fuction does not work. I have realized that I had to place the a copy of the excel file in the same file folder as the template ipt, but even this does not fix the issue.
I recieve this error:

'MWW Materials (Inventor).xlsx' could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.
If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.
It seems completly countintutive that just saving the file as a template file would cause this not to work when all files that are required are located in the same file folder. Maybe I need a reference to the excel document within the iLogic code.

If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?

I have a client with AutoCAD Map 3D 2011 with an OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Data Source and a dbConnect link template connecting to the database.
Normally, when an object that is linked to the database via the link template is selected, the data from the linked table appears in the properties palette. Recently a change what made to the table (view) that the link template and the Link template no longer appears. The view was restored to its original state, but the link table still is not visible.
If the data source is disconnected via the task pane, the link template reappears (with only the key showing, of course). The data can still be seen via the link template "View Linked Table" context-sensitive menu in the task pane so the link still remains.
I have disconnected, deleted, and rebuilt the data source, but it has not worked and I cannot delete the link template as there are several thousand objects linked via the template.
I'd like to create a new set of plot templates however, once all the variables are filled in, the 'DRAW LAYOUT' button is still greyed out.

They are just the standard setups; 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17 or 24 x 36 sheets with title blocks. What I was wondering is how to set up standard templates for things like multileader and dimension styles. If I create the styles in the dwt, and then save the it, would any person to use the dwt afterword have those styles available? Or is this something a bit more complicated like having everyone point to the same "acad.lin" file so that we all have the same linetypes?
