Photoshop Elements :: No Effects Under Windows Tab
Apr 3, 2013I purchased Photoshop Elements 11 in mid-March. I want to try to use "effects" under the window's tab, but everything under it is "grayed out."

Photoshop Elements :: Lost Selections In Layer Styles And Photo Effects Dropdown Windows
Oct 10, 2013While I was trying to do some editing, I've just lost the selections in the layer styles and photo effects drop-down windows while in full edit. I'm using PSE 7 and up until now has been working fine for as long as I've had it. What should I do to get them back or do I have to reload the entire program?

Jul 24, 2012When I go to filter -> render -> lighting effects it seems to pop up some kind of options pane for maybe a quarter second while it's thinking, but once it's done all it does is create a duplicate layer called "lighting effects". I never actually see the options.
I've updated my drivers, and I just installed cs6 today, without importing any of my old settings from before.

Jul 9, 2013just switched from a macPro to a Windows Workstation specs are:
Windows7 with ServicePack1
intel Corei7 3970X
64GB RAM
Nividia GeForce GTX680
Using Quicktime Version 7.7.4
so everything runs smoothly till i try Rendering my comp in a .mov-Container Codec doesn't matter which one i take. Tried everything from Fotojpeg to DNXHD to png. Nothing Changes. As soon as i swiitch to avi rendering it's really fast. (Project rendered in 5mins whereas i cancelled the rendering after 15mins when trying to render to QT-Fotojpeg)
After Effects :: Jumpy CTI On Windows Version Of CC?
Jul 1, 2013I've been using the CC version of AE on my MacBook Pro since the evening it came out and all seemed similar to previous AE versions on my home and work Macs, but I just switched to a high-powered Windows workstation and was surprised to see how indexed (not smooth) the CTI was on RAM-Preview. I couldn't care less about UI animation except that it is pretty distracting when watching animations play back aa there is a vertical red line jumping 15 frames at a time. The playback is smooth and previews aren't set to skip frames.
Why is this behavior so different than the OSX version? Can I fix it?
After Effects :: Effect Control Windows Not Saved With Workspace
Dec 19, 2013Why aren't multiple effect controls windows saved with a workspace?
I have many projects where I use a null as a controller with many sliders etc to control the animation of many layers. I open a couple of effect control windows and lock them with the contents of the controllers in them. Works great UNTIL I switch to a new workspace - even if it's based on the original and was saved with the effect control windows open in it. At that point, all effect control windows are removed.
I have to then re-open, position and select layer, lock etc - takes ages.
Why aren't the effect control woindows saved, even if they're empty, it would work as you'd expect it to.

Sep 15, 2013I have been using Elements 10 Editor for over a year now and have not run across this problem before. Nothing weird has happened with the program, it starts up just fine. I've never had it crash on me before or anything, but for some reason I can't view any of the effects in the right panel. They seem to be missing. I have reset the panels, checked to make sure everything is set to veiw and I even ran updates. But nothing has fixed the issue. I've used the program very recently and all the effects were viewable before, its just today that it seems this problem has occured.

Aug 29, 2012I have PhotoShop Elements 6 installed. I have never felt the need to 'upgrade' so still on 6.. I have installed a patch to Windows as recommended by regular Windows 'security scan' in the past few days. I do not want to rewind to before the patch as, presumably, it is required. It was working fine last week opening as required. Now it seems to be about to open when clicked but then does not. Nothing in Task Manager to show it might be running in the background. I've tried running PSE as administrator, Changing compatibility to other Windows.

May 20, 2013Since a few weeks all of a sudden some pop-up windows are not displayed. For instance after converting an image to B&W, the action is done, but the options to select the presets and finetune the conversion is not displayed. All other menu's are greyed out, so apparently the program is assuming that it is waiting for input from my side.
This applies to more similar situations like applying curves...
How this can happen? The window is not behind the images or hidden...

Sep 9, 2013I installed PSE11 on Windows 8 machine and it ran fine once. Now it launches and I see it starting then dissapears. I think it is running in backround as i see it in task manager. I ran the compatability trouble shooter and used the recommended settings but problem persists. Also tried running as adminestrator and still same problem. The auto uploader runs fine as well but then I cant see organizer. I had the same issues with PSE10 but that ran fine on this same machine for a month. My problems started when i left PSE10 running and let the computer sleep, hybernate and eventually shut down. Ever since then PSE 10 and now PSE 11 wont run or runs in backround and I cant see them. I have unistalled and re-installed bioth to no avail. Do I need to do a PC recovery?

Jan 1, 2013I upgraded from Vista to Windows 8. I had Elements 7 where I had to install the 8bi plug in to be able to read and process RAW files from Nikon. When I re-installed Elements 7, and tried the same thing it does not work and it keeps telling me that there is an error opening this file. I can open jpg files fine. However I take 95% of my photographs in RAW and would like to be able to process them in Elements again.
