Photoshop Elements :: Save A Custom Workspace?
Jul 12, 2013Using PSE 11, I get the panels set up the way I want, and the background that shows behind the document white like I want, and all is well. Until the comptuer loses it and I have to redo it all over. How can I get it to save my choices for these things? It also lost all my preferences that I set.

Nov 1, 2012Is there a way to save a custom artboard setup with a custom document profile in illustrator cs5? I do technical illustrations and our page size is odd (7.19 x 8.96. It the size that our Framemaker layout is set to.). I have a custom document profile that I use, but I use the grids all the time so that my callouts are spaced out evenly around the art. I would like to have a way to set the artboard up so that the grid will align to the center of the artboard everytime I turn them on. Right now they always start from the top left and when I center art in the center of the page, the grid spacing isn't the same on each side of the art. I just want to be able to open my document profile, turn on my grids, have them start from the center, and I can get down to business. As it is now I have to go into my artboard settings and manually adjust the grid to the center. Small annoyance, but it still annoys me. I have tried to save it a few different ways, but nothing has worked. Maybe there just isn't a way.

Apr 3, 2013I'm using photoshop & I when I try to save a fading text, it won't show up when I click preview. But when I play it on the timeline window, it shows up. When I try and save it and open it to the file, it doesn't show. It's like it's missing. Everything else is shown, but the fading text is not shown.

Doesn't adobes project managers work with each other? Or do the sections close their doors and do their own thing? The 3d space is different in every application they own.

For faster downloads I like to shrink my images to to 800 X 600 - so once I'm done editing them I hit "Save for Web" and then input those figures manually.
Now is there a way to program my Save for Web command so the images are automatically resized to 800 X 600 ? This would save me one step and speed up my work.
GIMP :: Custom Effects - Allow To Distort Area Using Random Path?
Jul 9, 2011I'd like to create custom effects using paths. Is it possible to distort a (rectangle) area along a given path? Let's suppose for instance I have a gradient in a rectangle area and I drew an open path manually with a few nodes forming waves, loops; I'd like to have the rectangle area "follow" the path and be distorted accordingly. Mathematically that would suppose:the rectangle area would be stretched to fit the path length andthe rectangle area could be "bent" using its gravity centre as a reference point. That'd be useful for creating smoke effects for instance. Can Gimp 2.6 do this or is there a plugin?

Mar 20, 2014URL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.
I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)

Jan 23, 2013I have Photoshop CS6 and Elements Premiere 11 and both were showing estimated file sizes properly up until a couple of weeks ago, and both stopped at the same time. Using Image, Mode I have verified on both that the images I am trying to save are 8 bit and not 16 bit images. I am on Window 7, 64bit.

Sep 24, 2012I have not recently been saving my metadata to file. I decide to turn this option on in preferances and it took a while for it all data to be written to the files. Most of my files start in Lightroom and get worked on with Photoshop layers, saved as TIFF, and reimported into Lightroom from other folders. My question is, if I went back to Lightroom and made some changes to develop settings to see what it would look like with different settings in Lightroom, didn't use the settings in the previously exported file but left them there in Lightroom since the file had already been exported and saved as TIFF..... can now saving the metadata to file change the way the finished file looks since the settings are different than those originally used to process the file (of note, I do not have save develop metadata to file for TIFF, PSD tyurned on).

Mar 12, 2012I have polyline that graphically represents a pipe. Obviously, the polyline can not contain data for a pipe: size, material, insulationtype, insulationthickness, schedule, etc. So, I have created a custom object with all of the appropriate properties, methods, events, etc that I need for it to behave as a pipe. My custom object has a reference to the actual polyline with a Handle property stored as a long(since AutoCAD objects can not be serialized). I referenced an AU 2008 class by Jeffery Geer (A Pattern for Storing Structured Data in AutoCAD Entities CP401-2) to get me as far as I am.
My object is marked serializable. I serialize it to binary and attach the binary in 127 byte chunks to the xRecord of the polyline object.However, as soon as I attach this binary xrecord, I get the following message when I try to save the drawing:
"One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created”
