i'm intending to make a photo calender. i've selected 12 best photos for the job, but what i lack now is uniqueness. other than the predominant filters that i can apply in CS3, playing with black/white/sepia colours, what other things can i do to make the images look more stunning/refreshed? maybe you guys can introduce some workflow techniques to me, or perhaps some nice add-ons that i can use to make this wonderful workpiece.

i have line in the drawing that exists on layer A-Wall it has different lineweight 0.05 from true wall. Now usually my routine : i select this line and then select similar to convert it to layer glazing.
i need lisp that by one command convert the objects on layer A-wall with layer 0.05 only to glazing.
I had a pc crash and am reloading all my old programs including VS 4. I found everything except a couple effect. One was a crown that could be adjusted and placed on a head, another was a wand that went across the screen with sparkling bits, another had butterflies, etc.

But as soon as AutoCAD sees the $, it thinks I'm trying to do a DIESEL expression. Supposedly, the quote marks specify that the enclosed characters should be treated as plain text, but that doesn't happen.Here's what I've got:

When I create custom brushes and custom brush dynamics is it possible to associate one with another? For example then I select one of my custom brushes is there a feature in gimp to load corresponding dynamics preset automatically?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just reinstalled Adobe Photoshop CS2. It appears to install okay. When you start it up it appears to start okay, the splash screen appears and goes through the start up, that disappears and the normal working page appears, but as soon as I click on any menu,tool etc. it goes blank with the top left corner of the working page showing Adobe Photoshop (not responding). I also tried a "repair" from the unistaller, but no joy.

I am working on a Dell Dimension 9150 I am running XP pro sp3. AV is AVG and firewall is Comodo. I have never been able to get PShop working on this computer, so I don't think it is a PShop problem. I have stacks of disk space, and 2Gb RAM.
I'm trying to write an application that creates a .idw drawing from a .ipt file in vb.net.
Now I want to predefine a layout, where the projected views should gonna be, independent which .ipt file I have.
Do I create a new .idw and make it look like I want, then save it and open it within the application?
But if I change the savepath it ask me where the file (.ipt) is.
So now I could choose my one, right? But how can I choose my .ipt file in the application?
It won't let me do an operation like openwith or something like that.
Or does there exists another way to predefine a layout?
I need drawing borders in special formats - can't use the DIN or ANSI formats. How do i create these special paper sizes / layouts in auto cad 2007?
Example: i need a paper size / layout 56 in wide and 22 in high.
I'm using the text tool and want to change the color of one word but when I select that word and click on the Color Picker box then select the color I want, the entire text changes to that color. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I've got several paragraphs and want all the text except the one word to be black. This page is Layer 2 and has the 'T' next to it in the Layers palette.
I have another question about installing LR5. How do I manage to install the program to a special folder and not the custom folder on drive c:?

As you can see, the sword is curved. I want to make it look straight without messing up its dimensions, i.e. I want to straighten it in PhotoShop as like it was made of clay. I hope you get what I mean.

Basically, what I want to do, is be able to use the paintbrush to paint my own textures. I would like to select a textural area of a pictures, create a texture from that, and then paint it where ever.

I know how to do this and i was wondering if there is a way to apply a gradient colour to the stroke at the same time. it is a curved line so a gradient mask doesn't achieve what I need. i want the line to consistently change colour as you go along it even round curves.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen I was doing a quick mask on something and using black to erase stuff, it was grainy and there was an obvious line so fading can never be perfect.
I freaked out and thought maybe it was a picture problem, I opened another canvas and started using the brush tool with the biggest fade and still got the same effect, an obvious edge mark and no fade at all.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI read on Photoshop Help that custom brush presets are stored in a preferences file within the Documents and Settings folder. I had a few custom brush presets that I'd built up over a few years in CS2 on a computer (with 2 harddrives) that died 2 weeks ago. The data on the two harddrives were succesfully transferred to a new computer (in a folder called "Old Drive" which still contains all the CS2 settings). To recover those custom brush presets can I just copy the "Brushes.psp" file from the old Settings folder to the new CS2 Settings folder (which does not currently have a Brushes.psp file because I haven't made any new brushes yet)?
For that matter can I copy and paste all the individual old settings (Actions Palette, Contours, Favorites,Patterns, Color Settings, Custom Shapes,New Doc Sizes, PluginCache, and Styles) into the new to recover what I had before? What am I likely to mess up by doing that? Could I just copy and paste the old folder "Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings" into the new folder?

As you can see from this screenshot I am trying to use the brush tool to complete the shadow of my planet however if I select the planet the brush tool I'm using does not cover up the atmospheric glow. I am not sure how to select the glow effect independantly of the planet. If I do not have the planet selected then the shadow is applied to all the layers including the starfield layer even though it is completely locked which is very annoying in of itself. So I guess my question is how do I get the shadow to be applied to the planet and its atmosphere but not the background stars. I am using a 3600px brush with 0 hardness for the shadow. System: CS6 on Mac OS 10.8.4
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have reviewed a couple of videos on how to create a watermark "stamp" by using the define brush option. However after following all of the instructions up to the point where I am supposed to select the area to define I can go no further. It says to select the image/text and then go to edit -> define brush. When I do this the define brush option is faint and I cannot select it. The videos all appear to be done using Elements 11 or earlier. It this a glitch with 12?
