this project that im working on. Im trying to create a high speed effect, like your travelling through space or racing on a race track. you have those streaks in the design to give the illusion of travelling at high speed.
Im looking to use some football players on the design so what i should use for a background. The design will be quite small and im looking to create the design as an animated gif when its done.
OK I've been a experienced photoshop user and I've been hit by a car. I have CS6. I am trying to remember how to special effects for Icons like beveling.
i'm intending to make a photo calender. i've selected 12 best photos for the job, but what i lack now is uniqueness. other than the predominant filters that i can apply in CS3, playing with black/white/sepia colours, what other things can i do to make the images look more stunning/refreshed? maybe you guys can introduce some workflow techniques to me, or perhaps some nice add-ons that i can use to make this wonderful workpiece.
For an art class at my high school, I want to create a series of photomanipulated images that I would title "Be Extraordinary." Basically, I want every picture to be a picture of me doing some sort of extraordinary thing, leaning more towards sci-fi stuff.
I already have an idea for one of me wielding a lightsaber, but after that, I've run out of ideas for anything I know how to do in Photoshop. I had an idea for me creating some sort of energy shield, but I simply don't know how to really create that effect in Photoshop.
i have line in the drawing that exists on layer A-Wall it has different lineweight 0.05 from true wall. Now usually my routine : i select this line and then select similar to convert it to layer glazing.
i need lisp that by one command convert the objects on layer A-wall with layer 0.05 only to glazing.
how to create a custom brush shape. Is there a way to create a custom effects using your own shape but creating an effect similar to the one you get with the butterfly or flower brush, like this?
I had a pc crash and am reloading all my old programs including VS 4. I found everything except a couple effect. One was a crown that could be adjusted and placed on a head, another was a wand that went across the screen with sparkling bits, another had butterflies, etc.

Hi,
I m working on photoshop using it to create clothing.
Usually i was working with the Dodge and Burn tool 3% after drew with white lighten brush a white effect than i usually start to work it out to create for example shiny? effects on black clothing.
I'm facing is that I need just the "Lighting Effects" filter on a transparent background to use in Final Cut. However, I know that you need to apply this effect to something. I applied it to what it is going to be overlaying in Final Cut, so I have the original image and the one with the effect. Is there any way to select the similarity between these two images and delete it so I can just have the lighting effects on a transparent background?
I wanted to find some space-related brushes from photoshop
Obviously using a solid color and painting the brushes on a black background isn't going to do very much for me. I'm kinda new to Photoshopping stuff but I was wondering how they got the shiny, mysterious coloring on those brush sets in the sample images, rather than a boring, solid color. What effects on they using?
I have a bunch of images that I would like to make look like crinkled photos or poloaroids, with drop shadow and aged effects. Anyone know of any tools that can speed up this process?
I have created a short (<3 seconds) video comprised of 2 layers. Each layer was filmed as a green screen, and I used Keylight in After Effects CC to create a transparent background. My ultimate objective is to use the clip to create a transition for use in ProShow Producer, as described in the link [URL]..... To do this, I need the main video file, and a second file containing only the alpha channel.
I have used Adobe Media Encoder to output a FLV, and told it to Encode Alpha Channel, as was suggested, but I only get the one file (the main video). How do I get the alpha file?
I am trying to make extrusions to an image. I am new to Illustrator and have read that .ai files are the only ones that you can extrude in AE. However when I bring in an .ai file and select create shape from vector layer, a grey square covers the shape. I am assuming that it is a transparancy issue and it is just filling in the size of the .ai project. I could be wrong though.
The Issue as the title suggests is light source flickering off the asteroids... the asteroids were created using VCP plug in "Element 3D"
I havent had much experience using element as this is the first time I have tried it.. The light source is just standard AE light set to spot. It doesnt seem to make any difference changing it to "point" light or anything else.
I tried a few renders with different settings.. quicktime with sorenson 3 codec and animation codec didnt seem to do anything but I dont know alot about codecs to be honest
I've also posted a 4 sec vid for you to see my issue.. the flickering only seems to exist directly on the edge of some of the asteroids.
UPDATE --- Now that I have uploaded it to youtube for this forum post alot of the flickering seems to have dissapeared.. theres still a little I hope you can see it.. The anomoly is still very strong tho before uploaded....strange !
I am looking to produce a print job in Five colours, CMYK plus a pantone colour. Is there a way to get Photoshop to generate or support a 5 colour file. an extra channel isn't regonized as an extra colour by quark express. At the moment the current answer is two tiffs over the top of each other with the upper set to over print, but this is a little clumsy!
i have this border i made, a line weach consists from a number of colors, when i want to place it around a straight line shape i have no problem and all i need to do is to copy and paste and "free trasform" it acording to the angle of the shape. the problem is with a round shape, is there a way to control this line and make it round?
How do you insert the accented "a" and the accented "i" in Photoshop CS4? I've searched on the web and found reference to special character codes. Where do you find a list of these Alt-code combinations listed?
i had a solid blue background to which i applied some effect--pretty sure it was from the filter gallery. just one effect. and i liked it very much but didnt think to make a note of it, so sure was i that i'd find it easily again. well now i can't figure out which one i used and i'm hoping one of you pros will recognize this pattern.
I've been wanting to upgrade to CS6 but have one issue that is preventing me from using it exclusively during testing that did not occur in CS5.
When typing special characters the formatting jumps all over the place and the speical characters end up at the end of text and not where I typed them.
I'm experiencing a very bizarre problem in CS with a font special character. I used Extensis Suitcase to examine all the font characters for a particular font that I'm using on a project. The character mapping shows the key combination for the character I want is (on a Mac) Option/Alt + Z.
This works in every other application on my computer, including my email application, but for some reason, within CS it brings up the Omega character. Any idea why this happens and how I change it? I even tried to type the character in Word and cut and paste it into Photoshop and it changes! What gives?
When I try to save an image and select the picture format like tiff or jpeg ps always saves the picture in the wrong format. for example I choose jpeg and in the save window the picture has the wrong format (ending). It is saved in the format which is shown in front of jpeg which is .iff? I have already deleted the preferences but the bug stays the same.
Assume PS CS6. I cannot find an easy way. I have tried Character Panel, select the superscript and type letter o for degree symbol. But how to get it directly?
