Photoshop :: Tools For Creating Poloraoid/printed Like Effects
Jul 12, 2007
I have a bunch of images that I would like to make look like crinkled photos or poloaroids, with drop shadow and aged effects. Anyone know of any tools that can speed up this process?
So I couldn't think of a better place to put this. I have something that I'm thinking of having professionally printed. What are the steps I should take to make sure I produce a high quality image? File format, Dpi and so forth. Make a list of steps to creating a high quality image file that will look good printed from a print shop.
I covered how to transform a image in a variety of ways using different tools and effects and dockers.I felt that I should share some of her talent with her permission.
I want to make some icopy tools to suit my needs, i did the tutorial i've found on AUGI "an icopy how to" and then i did a glass panel using the technique i learn there. Everything works fine until i place the icopy on a different plane than the x, y plane.
when i place it in other plane it the icopy behave in strange way. I had this problem since the first icopy test i made and i can't find why it doesn't work.
I'd like to create a new Menu which will contain few custom tools (ie. place text with particular font type, scale and justification)..I tried to import my customized menu from AutoCAD 2007 but that wasn't successful.
this project that im working on. Im trying to create a high speed effect, like your travelling through space or racing on a race track. you have those streaks in the design to give the illusion of travelling at high speed.
Im looking to use some football players on the design so what i should use for a background. The design will be quite small and im looking to create the design as an animated gif when its done.

Hi,
I m working on photoshop using it to create clothing.
Usually i was working with the Dodge and Burn tool 3% after drew with white lighten brush a white effect than i usually start to work it out to create for example shiny? effects on black clothing.
I'm facing is that I need just the "Lighting Effects" filter on a transparent background to use in Final Cut. However, I know that you need to apply this effect to something. I applied it to what it is going to be overlaying in Final Cut, so I have the original image and the one with the effect. Is there any way to select the similarity between these two images and delete it so I can just have the lighting effects on a transparent background?
I wanted to find some space-related brushes from photoshop
Obviously using a solid color and painting the brushes on a black background isn't going to do very much for me. I'm kinda new to Photoshopping stuff but I was wondering how they got the shiny, mysterious coloring on those brush sets in the sample images, rather than a boring, solid color. What effects on they using?
I'm trying to create a proposed grade surface using the grading tools. I drew the outline boundaryof the proposed surface as a closed polyline then created a feature line from it and assigned different elevations to it. When I try to select the feature line in order to create the grading, I get "THIS FEATURE OVERLAPS ITSELF AND CANNOT BE GRADED". What could be a possible reason for this?
I have created a short (<3 seconds) video comprised of 2 layers. Each layer was filmed as a green screen, and I used Keylight in After Effects CC to create a transparent background. My ultimate objective is to use the clip to create a transition for use in ProShow Producer, as described in the link [URL]..... To do this, I need the main video file, and a second file containing only the alpha channel.
I have used Adobe Media Encoder to output a FLV, and told it to Encode Alpha Channel, as was suggested, but I only get the one file (the main video). How do I get the alpha file?
I am trying to make extrusions to an image. I am new to Illustrator and have read that .ai files are the only ones that you can extrude in AE. However when I bring in an .ai file and select create shape from vector layer, a grey square covers the shape. I am assuming that it is a transparancy issue and it is just filling in the size of the .ai project. I could be wrong though.
i have cs5 suite. last week everything fine in photoshop. this week, only the tools that are showing are available to use. i can not access the tools when i click on the corner of individual tools. i am running version 10.6.8
The Issue as the title suggests is light source flickering off the asteroids... the asteroids were created using VCP plug in "Element 3D"
I havent had much experience using element as this is the first time I have tried it.. The light source is just standard AE light set to spot. It doesnt seem to make any difference changing it to "point" light or anything else.
I tried a few renders with different settings.. quicktime with sorenson 3 codec and animation codec didnt seem to do anything but I dont know alot about codecs to be honest
I've also posted a 4 sec vid for you to see my issue.. the flickering only seems to exist directly on the edge of some of the asteroids.
UPDATE --- Now that I have uploaded it to youtube for this forum post alot of the flickering seems to have dissapeared.. theres still a little I hope you can see it.. The anomoly is still very strong tho before uploaded....strange !
I instal form SDK User Tools because I need in Inventor Drawing Tools (Revision cloud). I do this install like on website Autodesk show and I didn't get it on ribbon. I do also registry of this plugin but I also didn't get it.
There seems to be way too many tools in the tools panel for me. Many of them I will rarely, if ever use. Is there any way I can rearrange or remove some of them? It would unclutter the screen immensely.
I have an interactive board with tools (such as pen or eraser) which I want to integrate with the AI. The typical scenario woulld be as follows: the user lifts the pen from the tray, the pen event will me mapped into selecting Pencil Tool from AI toolbar after which the user can add freehand annotations to the AI document.
Is there an API which would allow me to map abailable hardware tools with relevant AI tools? Is there an example which would demonstrate such integration?
How to get the 'Shape to Block' command to work (under express tools).
It says select object, but no matter what object I select eg. circle, pline or line, it says invalid selection. I am running AutoCAD 2012. Are 'shape' objects somehow different from any other objects?
I have PSE11 and purchased Paint the Moon effects. How can I view both the Layers panel and the Effects panel at the same time? Was this an option in older versions of PSE that are used in the Paint the Moon tutorials?
The grid lines I used when creating a watercolour are showing when I print the image, however they are not showing when I am in Photoshop, making it impossible for me to correct them. Is there a tool I can use to bring these lines to the forefront so that I can correct them?
I'm confused about gamma adjustment. I'm getting a book ready to be published by a print on demand company. It involves making a PDF using InDesign which contains photos which I've edited in Photoshop. The company has a list of specifications " to be sure that my PDF prints properly",and one of them says "The gamma of a grayscale image should be between 2.2 and 2.4." I don't know how to interpret this. If I change the gamma of a photo to 2.2 it obviously becomes much lighter, but then when it's saved the new lighter document has a gamma of 1.
I know I'm not understanding this at all. I've looked all over trying to figure this out. Most references refer to gamma adjustments for monitors, and I get that. I also know that when things are printed they will come out darker because of dot gain.
When printing any document through Photoshop CS5, it's printing at about 25% opacity. If we open the file in Preview or Word, it prints just fine! What do I need to change to get PS printing correctly again?
This all started when we downloaded a template offline. My co-worker designed within the template and when she went to print, it was faded. I tried printing a photo from my computer to the same printer quick to troubleshoot what the error might be (low ink, etc...) and my photo printed 100% ok. I then opened the file she designed, tried printing it and it was faded. I then tried printing the photo that printed earlier fine and now it and everything else I print is faded! What in the world changed? We've tried restarting both our machines, restarted PS, deleted and reinstalled the print drivers, etc... But to no avail.
We're printing to just a simple desktop printer, a Canon MP210.
I've used Photoshop CS4 for sometime but I'm no expert!A club I'm in has asked me to fill in pre-printed membership certificates with members names etc. The only way I can think of for doing this would be to scan the certificate and call it layer
1. Then fill in the new details and call it layer 2.I then remove layer 1 and layer 2 is in the correct position for inserting the certificate into the printer and printing on it.Of course this is just my theory, how to even try it!
When a piece is going to be printed in a magazine or even output to a desktop printer I have found that the color on the monitor (yes it is calibrated) bears very little relation to the printed product. Just curious as to what you guys do to compensate. Do you work brighter and more colorfully on the screen knowing that things are going to darker up in the translation?
I'm having trouble printing out a Photoshop picture with some text. The text comes out noticeably pixelated. I know there is a way to print it in a non-pixelated way (the font is much more smooth) since I can print out another Photoshop picture with text of the same font, color, size, and everything else and there is no pixelation. Both pictures are exactly the same size (863 by 1125), and neither text layer has been rasterized. Why would one print out pixelated and the other not?
