i have cs5 suite. last week everything fine in photoshop. this week, only the tools that are showing are available to use. i can not access the tools when i click on the corner of individual tools. i am running version 10.6.8
View 1 RepliesI've had to reinstall CS5 after a new Windows installation. Never had a problem with it before, but now I have the issue where if I click on a tool that has sub-tools, it now expands to show them. Before, to access them, I had to click and hold for them to appear. Now with them expanding on the first click, it's interrupting my work flow.

Additional issues have arisen while I'm here, such as, when doing web work, I'll change the rectangular marquee to single pixel horizontal (e.g.), make the selection, do what I want with it, then press M to adjust another single pixel line, but it'll return to the full rectangular marquee, like it resets.

I'm running a test at the moment with Open GL disabled, to test drivers or display issues, but it's doing the same thing.

Is it possible to scroll through the individual tools in the tool bar using keyboard shortcuts.
I know how to scroll through the subtools using hte shift key but not sure if it is possible to scroll through the entore tool bar.
I use the Rectanle Tool a lot and Photoshop CS6 is the first PS version i see displaying some tool tips in the corner every time i draw with it.

This is very annoying since it overlaps pieces of my black&white images distracting me. Is there any way to disable it?
I am aware of 'round corners', but I can't find the command or tools to round individual corners. I searched the manual but can't find anything. Perhaps it's so obvious I'm looking right past it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI’ve just stumbled across a way to acess the old desktop tools and as an old Smoke on Linux user hope that Autodesk keeps it there.
This is what I did.... Loaded a project, went to keyboard shortcuts and set a short cut for repeat (used to duplicate frames). Now hit the shortcut and you should see all the old desktop tools.
As an aside, why is Change Timecode/Keycode, convert rate in the retired tab?
I instal form SDK User Tools because I need in Inventor Drawing Tools (Revision cloud). I do this install like on website Autodesk show and I didn't get it on ribbon. I do also registry of this plugin but I also didn't get it.Â

There seems to be way too many tools in the tools panel for me. Many of them I will rarely, if ever use. Is there any way I can rearrange or remove some of them? It would unclutter the screen immensely.

I cannot access the options button on the tools menu. It pops up error message that says Required resource unavailable. Then the program locks up and I have to restart the computer.Â

It says select object, but no matter what object I select eg. circle, pline or line, it says invalid selection. I am running AutoCAD 2012. Are 'shape' objects somehow different from any other objects?
I am able to use the menuload command to load the express menu, but when I try to execute one of the express tools. AutoCAD say invalid command, there was something on the website that said to type express tools at the command prompt, but when I do that, too it says invalid command.

There are also a few other express tools that when picked from the ribbon menu, do not work either. Now, I have seen elsewhere on the web that in this case, you should make sure there are no search paths set to R14 Bonus tools (which mine aren't), or repair and update express tools from add/remove programs in the control panel. I did this, and the only thing that happened was the numbers after SUBR@ changed.

I have tried restarting and the usual but whenever I select a tool CS3 seems to not do anything in response - the cursor remains as the white hand. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding the cropping tool in PS CS5. When I attempt to crop an image by manually entering the dimensions in the top of PS it takes an insane amount of time.
I have yet to actually have an image complete the process because after waiting about 30 minutes to only have the image be at 30% progress I cancel the operation. It is only when I enter the dimensions manually that it does this. When I just do a random crop the task is done in a matter of seconds.
