There seems to be way too many tools in the tools panel for me. Many of them I will rarely, if ever use. Is there any way I can rearrange or remove some of them? It would unclutter the screen immensely.
View 8 RepliesI have an interactive board with tools (such as pen or eraser) which I want to integrate with the AI. The typical scenario woulld be as follows: the user lifts the pen from the tray, the pen event will me mapped into selecting Pencil Tool from AI toolbar after which the user can add freehand annotations to the AI document.
Is there an API which would allow me to map abailable hardware tools with relevant AI tools? Is there an example which would demonstrate such integration?
1. Why do Illustrator, Fireworks and InDesign (these are the ones I have checked) open with floating panels, tabs and windows, even in full screen mode... but Photoshop opens nicely in windowed mode with all the panels, tabs and windows fixed?
2. In full screen mode the left ruler is hidden behind the tools panel?! Why?!
3. How can I have Ai, Fw and Id open like Ps opens?
I have Adobe Creative Cloud CS6 for Mac.
whether Photoshop's tools panel can be customized? What I mean is can we change the Grey color tools panel icons on the left side of the Photoshop CS6 software, to appear in color, just like how Adobe Photoshop Element's tools panel look like.

When I'm painting, I create my custom color swatches it's easy to just click on the color I need and go. But, when choosing brushes, it's much more complicated.
I use several brushes, the mixer brush and the smudge tool back and forth when painting. Is there a way I can pull the various brushes, and tools into a panel like the color swatches so it's all right there and all I have to do it click and go?
My PS don't want to understand me! Every time i close brush panel, save document and every time after starting PS i see this panel. In preference i try picking "Remember Panel Location", but it's not working. And this software don,t save last color mode, i start PS with grayscale mode.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed CS6, and I'm having serious problems w/ a few things. Mainly this issue:
As you can see, every time I create an object, a stroke is added to it. And you can also see on the layers path, a small little box is also added. Here's the weird part, when I try and change the images color, I get a popup saying that this object needs to be "rasterized" before changing the color. Then when the color changes, it changes the shape object to what i need it to be.
I'm just getting the hang of GIMP and up and running on a project, until now. For some reason, I'm not able to get the kind of selections I want from using the Path and Scissors tools. Large pieces of the letters get cut off and its frustrating to say the least. I've heard about the edge logic problems and actually found out how to use the Path tool as a result. This still happens with Scissors after I've jacked the contrast all the way up, and its already in bw.
Now the obvious fix would be to just type what I'm wanting and go from there which should be simple. BUT, I'm not quite to the point where I can build it from scratch and the font is fairly specific.
I use the Rectanle Tool a lot and Photoshop CS6 is the first PS version i see displaying some tool tips in the corner every time i draw with it.

How do I remove three images on the cursor when I have selected certain tools from the toolbox in Elements 9? I have just gotten a new computer and 9 was transferred to it from my old computer. Have never had this problem before.

It says select object, but no matter what object I select eg. circle, pline or line, it says invalid selection. I am running AutoCAD 2012. Are 'shape' objects somehow different from any other objects?
I am able to use the menuload command to load the express menu, but when I try to execute one of the express tools. AutoCAD say invalid command, there was something on the website that said to type express tools at the command prompt, but when I do that, too it says invalid command.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCad Civil 3D 2012, with windows XP, and when I type "extrim" at the command line, I get this:
Command: extrim
"bad argument type: listp #<SUBR @2f9669b0 BONUS_ERROR>"
There are also a few other express tools that when picked from the ribbon menu, do not work either. Now, I have seen elsewhere on the web that in this case, you should make sure there are no search paths set to R14 Bonus tools (which mine aren't), or repair and update express tools from add/remove programs in the control panel. I did this, and the only thing that happened was the numbers after SUBR@ changed.
When I start my Illust CC, I can only click the tools in the tool box which are shown. I can not wright click my mose and reach other tools. How can I solve this problem ?

I can hold down the alt key and click on the icon (tool) and it switches but it doesn't have the drop down menu when I right click on it. View 2 Replies View Relatedfairly regularly illustrator decides to hide the tools set / and often panels like color / font etc behind the artboard.
it doesn't happen on starting the program, just maybe an hour or two into using it and i find the tools are hidden and i can to drag the windows around to find them again.
they also vanish at times if i am in the middle screen mode (clicking 'f' once to access) - again this doesn't always happen.
