Assume PS CS6. I cannot find an easy way. I have tried Character Panel, select the superscript and type letter o for degree symbol. But how to get it directly?
View 7 RepliesWindows 7; Photoshop 13 (CS6).I am typing some text in a new layer; no problem so far. I need to insert some special characters that are not on the keyboard, e.g.TōkaiThat also was not a problem; I copied the character from the Windows Character Map.
Now I want to copy/paste more special characters from the Character Map, e.g.
☏ (U+260F) or
✉ (U+2709)
Now all of a sudden this does not work; the pasted characters appear in Photoshop as a boxed X.The font I have been using was Arial, but when I pasted these Unicode characters, the font automatically changed to Myriad Pro. Changing the font back to Arial does not alter the boxed X.
I took these Unicode characters from the Character Map using font Arial Unicode MS. That font does not appear in Photoshop.Questions:are there any Unicode fonts available in Photoshop?is there any other way to paste such characters into Photoshop?
How do you insert the accented "a" and the accented "i" in Photoshop CS4? I've searched on the web and found reference to special character codes. Where do you find a list of these Alt-code combinations listed?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSome of my folders are in norwegian special characters (æøå). When I try to synchronize such a folder it can say that I have 152 new photos (all the photos in this folder) and that 152 photos are missing. When I use "Show in Finder" all the photos are ok. I don't like the folders to not be in sync, so I go on and synchronize the folders. Then I end up with two folders inside LR, but one is grayed out and contains 0 photos. I delete the grayed out one and continue to use LR. When I try synchronize folders right after this, it looks fine. But after a while the problem is back and I have to repeat the synchronizing. If I select "Update Folder Location" instead, the problem is fixed.
I use Lightroom 4.1 RC (but the problem was present in LR 4 as well). I have never used LR before, so I don't know about previous versions. My os is Mac OS X 10.7.3.
How do I go about increasing the diameter to a degree symbol? Am using the ROMANS.SHX type of file, and when used the degree symbol is sort of miniature (looking and plotting) in comparision to the numeral next to it.
What number do I have to alter in the .SHX file to enlarge it then?
I am in C3D 2012 and using Romans.shx for my text. When labeling an Arc, the degree symbol comes out too close to the following text/number. Is there any way to adjust the spacing on curved text. On a straight line it looks fine.

i have line in the drawing that exists on layer A-Wall it has different lineweight 0.05 from true wall. Now usually my routine : i select this line and then select similar to convert it to layer glazing.
i need lisp that by one command convert the objects on layer A-wall with layer 0.05 only to glazing.
I want to type in gimp(using text tool) with some special characters from my native language like(ā, ē, č, ķ, ģ). If i try to do it in gimp I get á, é, ć, ḱ, ǵ. Are there some settings or plugins that allow me to type these non-English characters like I do it usually.

It should say in the image above 36px/52px, not 12.16px (.16 px? Really?) and 17.56.I haven't the foggiest idea where that even comes from.
But the result for all photoshop users is that they have to individually change all the layers individually..I was hoping character styles would work, i have yet to figure out how it even works, i've tried multiple times, it just doesn't do anything to the selected type.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been messing around with this shape, mostly based on ideas from the skull medallion tutorial over at Gimp users, and was wondering what is causing the white jagged line that appears along the bottom of the wing and also to the outer edges. It only appears after I have run the Lighting Effects filter.It's not too obvious on the full size image of the batman type symbol, but becomes quite noticeable when a section is enlarged.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI received a drawing from a client, which has all the features on a coordinate system, But the drawing is rotated for some reason. Even after rotating the drawing the coordinates are the same as it was prior to rotation. I believe there may be some variables that has been changed for this. If a line is drawn A@100<0 it is drawn vertical instead of horizontal and like wise @100<90 is drawn horizontal instead of vertical.
Attached is the drawing.
In Photoshop 8 (CS2) a typed character doesn't display until another character is typed or until I leave the text layer.

I would like to just add some notes to the balloon so that I can update them manually but all I can find is to have a symbol. So I created a symbol, the insertion point for the symbol is shown. For some reason I get an extra number and the symbol offcenter. Why is this happening? What I'm really looking for is a balloon that is fully customizable so that I can just add text to the top and bottom and fill out the details.

Basically I have a lot of points on a map and I'd like to be able to name the points along with other data like tooltip callouts, etc populated via XML then loop through the XML to build the points of interest on the map. If I can get the above working I can place that variable path reference into an array and grab the data from it later. But the path is not working the way I have it.
Can I call a symbol from the symbol panel and place it on the stage?
