who knows the default character set of the exported type catalog file from revit 2012?
I need to export some families containning chinese parameter names from revit, and found broken character ??? only.
what should I do?
or if any workaround for me to display the context correctly? I'm using notepad ++ rather than notepad.
I am trying to find a way to set a particular type in a family as default so that when the family is loaded, that type is what I am inserting.

- make the default Tool - Rectangle Select;

- allow the users to change the default workspace background color (now, Hex: #C9D3E2);

I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play.
If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?
when I start Revit it show me this message, I cant find any component in my library components, any solutions?It says: "The default template file you have specified does not exist:"

It should say in the image above 36px/52px, not 12.16px (.16 px? Really?) and 17.56.I haven't the foggiest idea where that even comes from.
But the result for all photoshop users is that they have to individually change all the layers individually..I was hoping character styles would work, i have yet to figure out how it even works, i've tried multiple times, it just doesn't do anything to the selected type.
Windows 7; Photoshop 13 (CS6).I am typing some text in a new layer; no problem so far. I need to insert some special characters that are not on the keyboard, e.g.TōkaiThat also was not a problem; I copied the character from the Windows Character Map.
Now I want to copy/paste more special characters from the Character Map, e.g.
☏ (U+260F) or
✉ (U+2709)
Now all of a sudden this does not work; the pasted characters appear in Photoshop as a boxed X.The font I have been using was Arial, but when I pasted these Unicode characters, the font automatically changed to Myriad Pro. Changing the font back to Arial does not alter the boxed X.
I took these Unicode characters from the Character Map using font Arial Unicode MS. That font does not appear in Photoshop.Questions:are there any Unicode fonts available in Photoshop?is there any other way to paste such characters into Photoshop?
I haven't changed my preferences or upgraded the software, but suddenly my "ci"s are changing to "a"s with a tilde over them, and my "ek"s are changing to "fi" ligatures. I've looked in my preferences and settings and cannot see where to control this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am running LR v3.4.1. I have had a single catalog for a long time and it has really effected performance, so I am wanting to move some files out into a separate catalog. Currently, my catalog is on my C: drive, but all of my pictures are on my K: drive, which is external. When I do the export as catalog, it creates the new catalog on my C: drive, but also creates a copy of all of the photos there as well. I want to point the catalog back to the original files on my K: drive so I can remove the ones created during the export process on my C: drive.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using 2014 Revit and have some problem with the exported AutoCAD layers from Revit.
My project has 3 levels and I exported the floor plans from Revit. Ground level and third level have all the elements like shown Revit, but the second floor plan doesn't show certain catagory items like columns. I already tried to create new level for the second floor plan, but the exported result is the same. I am not sure if there is any setting to control the layer visibility when it is being exported.
Any export issue with Revit, where the leaders in the Revit model are exploded when the model is exported to AutoCAD. If so is there a setting or a procedure in Revit that fixes this other then redrawing the leaders in AutoCAD?

while I type I use the context manue to change reading order but when i finish typing it changes back.
I tried to manualy insert a unicode RTL control character from the context manu, but it doesent have any effect.
I hope I am missing somthing and its not a bug( entering long text (in hebrew) is criticle for notes and scheduals)

We have Elements 6.0 and cannot access the organizer. A pop-up says "The default catalog could not be found please open or create a different catalog. Thne another pop-up appears with the title catalog manager. FYI: we recently downloaded adobe flash, can that cause problems?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running LR2 (I know, first step, UPGRADE!), but in the meantime, I had to move my catalog because my drive got full. Under the Backup dialog box I chose the new location. But when I just click on the LR icon to open the program it opens with the default C: drive catalog location that it first installed with. Then I open the specific catalog from in the program and relaunch it. I have LR set to bring the dialog box everytime I start LR since I don't use it everyday. So I back it up when the dialog comes up and when it's done it goes right back to the default catalog with none of my library in there. Why do I have to keep opening the catalog manually?

My default catalog (so far I've been using only one) contains appx.33k photos and I can't import new shots. Yesterday I was shooting tethered camera and everything went fine. Today I wanted to import new files (from hdd) and noticed that "import button" is completly inactive. Dead. I set up a new catalog and managed to process todays photos but when I'm switching to previous catalog the "import" button is still dead.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI open PDFs in Illustrator that were created in Autodesk Inventor. The default of Myriad Pro is applied and I would like to change that. I have made a new document profile and a new workspace, but the profile is only good for a new document. The workspace does not change the default type. I could save lots of time if I could change this behavior! I am working in CS6 on a 64-bit Windows machine.
Perhaps it is only a question of getting Illustrator to recognize Arial?
